- A first look at the Stewmac Cigar box guitar kit. Having mastered the 6 and yes even the 7 string guitar Dana takes on the 3 string. This kit has a P90 pickup so we are looking forward to getting this bad boy going.
Good evening, and thanks for the video. I am just getting into CBG and I have one on the way I ordered online. My first CBG wasn't what I thought it was, but at least I'll be able to play slide music with it. So, I'm getting one with frets, and that you can play full chords up and down the neck on.

I have one of these too it's kinda half built still. I didn't like the way the bridge worked and wanted something adjustable. I made s custom bridge that didnt work as I liked. I bought a modified a 3 string fender style bridge with adjustable saddles. I think I'll need to shim the bridge up a bit when I install it. I am also making a new tailpiece out of a door striker plate.
Yes, that bridge definitely shouts 'old school cigar box guitar made from found stuff' vibe. Intonation is going to be interesting. A three string Tele style bridge certainly looks like it'd be much more useful than some random bolt on a piece of wood. We'll make sure to focus on that during the final build/setup phase.
