I’ve been trying to find it. Thanks.🙏🏾
Happy to be a help to you.
My first video UA-cam suggested of you. @4:54 ... subscribed!
I have an 02 forester throwing the same codes.
Which subaru's do you own?
02 forester
93 impreza
90 legacy
I own a 2013 wrx. I also had a 97 Impreza. Check your spark plugs and coil packs. I change my sensor but I also had a fired coil pack also.
Check your spark plugs and coil packs. I change my sensor but I also had a fired coil pack that was causing the fuse to blow
Wow first comment, If i remember correctly there is an adjustment procedure for the linkage to the switch that is recommended as a first step by Subaru for this code actually both the high and low circuit codes (P0851 and P0852). They say to use a special tool in the procedure but I think it's possible to use a drill bit instead (it's just for alignment) You can look it up in the factory manual which is available online. Ben a while but I think that's the way it went IIRC
Thank you for the information. I looked it up and you gotta adjust the inhibitor switch. I appreciate the help. Thank you
Hello please can you explain to me what is the adjustment that we need to do before installing the sensor?!
ua-cam.com/video/VcX6sI_quPU/v-deo.html here’s a video that takes you through it.
Yes this was a Subaru TSB and believe they had a special tool.
Same deal with the manual transmission? I've put in brand new sensors and still get same code. 2011 Forester
Good work my dude!! That's a 4EAT ir 5EAT transmission?
Put in some hashtags on your Descriptions or on your title. Like w r x transmission electrical
I will make sure to add some of those 😆
@@WrenchHeadsTuning Just to help other people find this video because it helped me p. Thank you my man

Hello. i do have the same code on my 2007 subaru impreza 2,5 no turbo. automat transmission, do you think it work in my case? Thank you@@WrenchHeadsTuning
@alibekmametov461 if it’s the same code then it should work, just make sure that you get the part that matches your vehicle.
I could be any gear (6spd) but my car is showing it’s in R on cluster. And my reverse camera is on. Can’t figure it out. 2017 wrx
That seems like the reverse switch, located in the transmission.
Sorry, I hit the wrong button on your reply and deleted it. But I would say instead of throwing it away you could just replace the sensor. It should be external and located on the shift tower.
Wish mine was this easy. 07 STI transmission, it's on the top. I can't even get my hand in there. Meh....
That sucks 😞
You can drop the trans sub frame to lower it a bit. Just put a jack with a piece of wood on it so it doesn’t damage it
@@Owensti haha Yeah, I was able to figure it out, but took me like 8 hours, and involved taking apart a bunch of shit, lowering it as much as I could, and then I think I had to use a long wrench coming in the front of the trans, and a hammer to break it loose.
Ayo did u get to fix your o2 sensor?
Yes the O2 sensors were changed out as well, mainly since they got damaged from a faulty coil pack.
