For mini figures I got some part trays from Walmart “hart stack” it comes with 10 bins inside. Each bin is marked with a remark. Each bin can have around 5-10 minifigure. So when I get an order I grab the bin from the tray for example 0001 is tray One bin One and dump it into a funnel tray.
Add a piece of folded red construction paper so it sets against the front area of each drawer. No list needed, as it's all visual - and you just drop the card in. Less time writing/crossing off a list. If you need empty drawers, just visually scan each aisle and pull what you need.
Awesome video, love that you stay to what works best for you! Totally jealous of the papimax drawers you were able to get, after I found out they were no longer available I reverted to parts organizers on rolling carts to save space, it can be a real challenge!
Thank you for sharing what works best for you, I’m certainly going to “borrow” some lol. Storage and space will always be the challenge. Having a very small room I use now, I will need to try and maximize every square inch.
Do you know how to get more Papi Max storage? I think they are out of business now and I can't find them anywhere. I have some and they are wonderful! TY
Sorry, but I think Papi Max is out of business. I had someone say they were going to order a similiar system from China and list them on Amazon, but he hasn't gotten back to me about that.
Thank you for all the info! I am brand new to bricklink store and here’s my question - is there a way to make adding inventory quicker, specifically this: I can see when I get parts that already have drawers, but I’m literally all over the place putting each piece in it’s already designated drawer. It’s like going to the gym 😂. What’s your method?
I am doing it the same way... I am all over the place when putting parts away. But I think of it as my "workout." My husband on the other hand, uses one of the trays from the Lego Advent Calendar. He puts the parts in that and has a sheet of paper that he writes down the corresponding drawer in the shop. He is much more organized on how he puts the parts away.
I believe you are talking about the Papimax storage system. Unfortunately, they are STILL out of stock, but from the Facebook page they are hoping to get them back in the US at some point.
This shop was specifically built for our Lego business, so when the contractor found out we would be hanging all the Stack-On cabinets to the wall, he put in 2x6 boards behind the drywall so we could securely hang all the cabinets.
my question to you is, How and where, do you put parts when you have no bin numbers for them at all, lets say you have 100-200 parts to go into inventory but no bin or spot for them? what is your solution, i'm trying to do just that.
I haven't gotten to the point where I have run out of room in my organizers and bins yet, but I do have some odd ball parts that I put next to or on top of my organizers. Then I have to get creative in my remarks so I can find them.
Tires take up a lot of space in my store... Basically I have a bin and several large storage containers to hold them. I put each type of tire in a quart or gallon plastic bag with the size and/or part number written on it. I have to do a little digging to find what I'm looking for, but it's the best way I've found to store them.
Hi, Could you do a video that shows your husband's strategy for the way Minifigs et al are laid out? I see the video you did but I'd love to know the why behind what you showed. Thanks for the excellent videos.....
This is actually something will be working on in the next month or so. He has agreed to video as long as he doesn't have to talk or appear in the video a whole lot, so there will be a lot of "over the shoulder" shots. LOL

Awesome that you found something that works for you! There are so many different to store parts, it's almost mind-boggling. :-)
brilliant info thank you
Glad you enjoyed it

Very Nice!

I've found the smaller the space, the more creative people get with storing their Lego inventory. :-)
Thanks! You helped a lot.
Glad to hear that!

@@montanausedbricks thanks for the reply! I’m glad to know it’s not just me. I thought I must be the only crazy one
Do you have a link for the clear plastic drawers with dividers? I forget what you called them and don't see a link in the description. Thanks!

How do you fix the cabinet to the wall?
This shop was specifically built for our Lego business, so when the contractor found out we would be hanging all the Stack-On cabinets to the wall, he put in 2x6 boards behind the drywall so we could securely hang all the cabinets.

where dis you buy the drawers on the wall
I bought the Stack-On drawer organizers at both Lowes and Home Depot in 2016/2017. Not sure if they are still available at those locations or not.
