I am a late comer to the world of Lego. I had Lego as a kid, but it was "just another toy." Then, in early December of 2014, at the age of 45, I put together a little 64 part Lego set and I was hooked. I first became obsessed with Creator sets, then the obsession moved to the Modular Buildings and LEGO Ideas sets. I even got my husband hooked, when I introduced him to Technic sets.
In October of 2015, I opened my Bricklink store. As a seller with very little Lego experience, I watched a lot of UA-cam videos about selling on Bricklink. Now I would like to pay it forward by sharing my own stories, along with helpful tips and tricks to run a successful Bricklink store.

This has been one of the slowest months for our Lego Bricklink Store. Did our lack of adding Lego inventory cause sales to slow down? Maybe... Check out my Lego Bricklink store here: store.bricklink.com/montana_girl Check out my eBay store here: www.ebay.com/str/montanausedbricks

Was a busy month... but unfortunately, it was the personal side of life that kept me busy and not my Lego Bricklink Store. My Bricklink Store - Ep 70 Should I give up?
I need a better way to upload what is that software you are using? Thanks!!
Hi, I enjoy watching your videos. Very informative and fun. So my story is I have a lot of Lego that I have purchased over the years as pieces from here and there as well as some sets. Just wanted something to put together. I was going to leave all of that to my kids, but it turns out they don't really want them. I know that they won't have the time or patience to put them out on Bricklink and would probably give them to the Goodwill or sell them for pennies on the dollar to someone. So I opened up a store on Bricklink and decided to sell them myself (as long as I have the time.) Anyway, I'm not a store such as yours that constantly updates my store with new pieces, just trying to get rid of the old stock. With that said, from time to time I will put more parts out there from sets I haven't listed yet. When I upload, I do the six-month average and put them in as a separate entry if that makes sense. I am seeing though that that six-month average will very from month to month and some stock is in at .01 and some is in at .04 etc. Prices are all over the place as I see some selling for .01 and some selling for .10. Anyway, great videos and look forward to seeing more.
What a Great Store!
GREAT to see another montana bricklink seller. Keep up the Amazing work.
Nice update! It’s hard to pass up a good deal on used bulk and it looks like it will pay off. Thank you for your time.
I like the month end recap. Good job working through all those used parts. it's so time consuming. That price for those two bins was awesome.
WOW that's a good score on the two big lego bins. I've had to close my bricklink store due to Canada post going on strike , it's been 2 weeks now and still no improvements hopefully this week something happens because this is crazy . Keep up the great work .
I watch Dotu bricks all the time
Excellent content and flow. Thank you for helping!
My shop has been open since 2017, I am mostly used parts. I have a few more lots than you, but not much. I went NINE DAYS no orders. Blew my mind.
"what do you do about stale inventory?" I upload more parts so people have a reason to come buy the old ones.
So sorry for your losses, and the rough stuff of 2024. I always enjoy your vlogs, even if they're short. I've learned so much from your channel that has helped me improve my own store, and I really appreciate you sharing with us. ((((Hugs))))
I’m so sorry for your family’s losses again. 🙏 I’m hoping that 2025 will be your year!
I'm sorry to hear of your family's loss. I'll keep your husband's dad and your family in my thoughts.
I may be able to once again order some of your nice parts this month, maybe in two weeks. It's been a challenging year for us too, the job and income situation has been the worst ever, but today starts a new chapter with a new job and hopefully everything will get better. Sorry about your losses. I always appreciate your videos, no matter what it may seem, they have value to us.
Great Vlog 40! Happy Monday!
You guys certainly have not had a good year. Hopefully things get better and you have a bang up 2025. Glad to hear your husband was with his father, it’s hard when you’re not. We’ll be here, take care of yourself!
I wish you and your family all the best. I hope things are getting better again!
OMG that is such a rough and horrible month. I am sorry for how hard things have been.
If there were more people with your attitude, world would be better place! Love your channel!
What's your thoughts on "Lego Brick Take Back" program? Maybe this could be content for a new video. Looks like they will take up to 45 pounds at $6.00/lb in the form of a LEGO e-gift card. (or $3.60/lb digital cash)
I didn't know that you can mark an order completed from the senders end. I only thought it worked from the buyers end. Like you I just file the order after a few weeks if I know the buyer has received it from looking up the tracking number. I get a lot of buyers that don't want to leave feedback they will just mark completed. Does anyone else have this problem? 🤔🙂
I don't file an order until it shows delivered in the tracking. After the order has shipped I wait a few days and check the tracking. It gives me a heads up if there is a shipping problem. If there is I can contact the customer to let them know I'm aware and on top of it. Chris Reclaimed Components
I have missed you
Drop shipping off Bricklink is wild. (Drop shipping in general I'm not a fan of, but that's especially crazy).
I know sometimes it takes a few days for my customers to track their item because i do usps pick up and most of the time my mailman doesn't scan item in. that being said i always send a costumer a message with tracking # in it. It possible people are doing drop shipping off because i've had a few that said do put receipt in package. I think people are doing drop shipping from a different platform why would someone buy from their store if they can get it much cheaper somewhere else.
I accidently marked an order completed once, and after that the order froze and I could not make any more changes to it. I don't mark orders completed, I also just file them. I feel that clear communication and timely replies to customers are an absolute must of doing business of any kind. I get a lot of people asking me not to add an invoice, never thought much of it until watching this video. I wonder how they handle it if for some reason the other store is short a part or something? Interesting food for thought today!
I love seeing all the little drawers behind you. ❤😊
Only on rare occasions do I mark orders complete as the seller. These are in my opinion complete when orders receive feedback from the buyer. New buyers especially never mark orders complete. I agree the whole process of acknowledgement of orders received needs a revamp. It's also worth mentioning that not all shivers in the UK provides tracking. For example orders under 100g, below £20 value would only come with proof of posting. Drop shipping is happening regardless. I tend to cancel these orders and requests as a seller you are not covered shipping to an alternative address.
I think a lot of the drop shippers sell on EBAY hence why the orders are usually 1 or 2 lots at most, with the please do not leave invoice in package.
If I leave it with a sticker, and next time I add same parts, and I consolidate - what will happen to the part with sticker???
I have a bridleless Tauntaun in my store, keep forgetting to look for that piece, thanks for the reminder. Enjoy putting on your videos while I'm sorting, it makes it more fun. :)
Nice haul! i follow also DOTU Bricks and i know your channel because from his videos 😀
I laughed when you said "get something done instead of starting 5 projects" because I totally do that with the Lego! My workspace currently looks much the same as yours. Thanks for the ongoing inspiration!
I really enjoy these vlogs.
Nice vlog!
Keep Clickn' and Brickn'!
Thanks for responding to my question!
I have had Lego in sealed plastic bags for years and have noticed no difference but are kept cleaner
Wish I could support your store by buying but I'm from the other side of the world. I just subscribed so I can watch every video you make!
I organize my inventory by piece and then by color. I do the same thing for the browns and grays - I have a cheat block with the colors together to I can compare the colors. I sometimes catch myself mistaking slightly yellowed light bluish gray for light gray, so I recommend looking at the bottom of the pieces as well to double check. Thanks for all your videos, they are so helpful and fun to watch!
Thanks for putting these together. I like your idea of having the different color bricks next to each other. I made a little board of the colors that I can't easily identify. I can send a pic if you are interested. Thanks
Great video. 🙂 I sort my bricks by type then by color when I put them in the drawer. I like to have the colors of the same type sorted because it is easier for me to find the color I need rather that sifting through looking for the color. You did mention Brickstore. Did you do a video on using brickstore? I think you did but can't completely remember. If so when? Thanks 🙂
Hello! Nice video! Have a great week!
Hi from the UK. i sort into colour boxes first , then part , then back into colour to list , love your videos, thank you
Thank you!
Just a heads up UPS pickup cost money depending on how many packages you have. I have kept track and USPS comes out cheaper after about a week still.
Great video! Have you ever tried to get replacement bricks from LEGO for Reddish Brown or other colors that seem to break easily?
For me in Missouri UPS is often $0.01 - $0.50 cheaper on 4-8oz packages for Surepost, where they deliver to the buyers Post Office and USPS makes the final delivery. Not worth the extra few miles drive to the UPS store in my opinion. I do often use UPS for larger packages though. For permanent marker I recommend Goo Gone (get it at Dollar General, Walmart or hobby/CC raft stores) with a Q Tip - it'll get that stuff right off. Careful with Magic Eraser on tiles etc - they're abrasive.
Thanks for the cleaning tip! I will definitely give that a try! :-)
Back to Brick!❤
