Well i get this reader in the mail today..hopefully i can diagnose it , and then purchase the sensor. Do you think the rims have anything to do with the abs sensors? I dont have the original rims on my 996. Thanks
Was trying to get my ABS sensor out today, same as yours - the bloody bolt broke off! Abandoned mission after trying to hammer it out. Funny thing was the ABS fault cleared itself as I was driving, then 10 minutes later it came back on. I later cleared the codes, went off and cam back after 15 minutes of driving. As I was driving, the sensor was still doing its job as it was reading speed on the foxwell live data, so not sure why that is? Was just in garage now - everytime I reset the code, it would come back on, car was turned off - don't get that?
Very handy, thanks for the guide. I think I'll pop the connector off on mine (scan tool indicated fault in front right sensor) and check resistance before replacing.
It'll work fine, but the ABS light will stay on and if you have to emergency stop then you'll need to use cadence braking as the wheels may lock up and increase your stopping distance on poor/wet surfaces

Can you keep driving the car with these codes displaying (until replaced) or will it eventually cut out?
