Seems like just a few months ago you were driving it home in the snow and ice! Happy to see it all worked out and you are still enjoying it a year later.
Austin, great one year review of the 600LT. Gotta say, when you were looking at buying one my comment was on McLaren's reliability reputation. Great to see your experience knocking that sacred cow over! Oh, and R compound tires on the street are ALWAYS fun!
Got my 600LT Feb 2021, your videos actually helped me go for one; wanted it for track mainly... Got it from a McL dealer, PPI, under warranty, had non-stop issues including replacing the tranny, and eventually had to "give it back"... it was my second McL; had the mp4-12c back in the days... also had tons of issues... Love McL but probably won't go back... McL issues are real and more common vs P or F cars...
Hello, i am thinking about trading my Huracan EVO and getting a 620R. but have always been concerned about issues with a McLaren. I live nearly 60 miles from the nearest dealer. Would I expect to be making trips back and forth for repairs with buying a McLaren?
@@gwarslayer make sure it's under warranty, first of all. If it's an issue covered under warranty, sometimes they tow back and forth but check with them first... some have good luck w/ McL and no problems, some, like me, don't...
I got my 600 last year and have had zero issues. Not a single issue whatsoever. I’ve put 3,200 miles on it thus far and will never get rid of it nor tired of it . Hope that helps. If something were to happen, if under warranty, they tow it to mclaren to and back.
For your McLaren, smooth discs would last way longer and put less wear on your brake pads, rather than slatted discs. Ever thought about changing them? When you first showed us that you were changing the carbon ceramic brakes the car came with, I wasn't exactly convinced, but after hearing how expensive brake pads are, I fully support your decision! Guess that's why Ford removed the ventilated rotors on the 2020 GT350s.
How you got over all that nonsense when you got the car is beyond me. I mean for the value I would have lost it and expected a full on replacement. Great to see you could get passed that and enjoy the car.
Hey, so why does it cost $1400 to register your car in California? That's sounds crazy. I'm in Canada, and it cost me only $93 to register my C8 Corvette for a year.
@@porschecollector727 Ugh. Sounds like fleecing to me. Surprised why Californians haven't done anything about this. Up here, if any politician even tried to consider passing something like that, especially if there was any arbitrary component to it, it would be political suicide.
When I moved from Dallas to Phoenix back in 99 vehicle registration here was a lot more but my property taxes were a lot less. They also don't have inspection stickers here in AZ either. I'm sure the city, county and state is getting their money from you somewhere. 😆👍
@@AzTurboMini yeah Dallas does an emissions inspection which is like $40. My county we don't have emissions inspection only safety $7.50. I have looked at every state taxes. Property plus income tax plus sales tax and miscellaneous such as car registration and Texas is still less.
Love your channel you little buggah! Such a bad influence! I want a McLaren so bad! I know I’m 54 and should grow up, but f’n A cotton ya only live once! Cool channel bub.
@@SpeedPhenom I guess that's a loaded question for a McLaren. Let me rephrase that. The first required visit to the dealer would probably be "cheap" but let say your second required visit to the dealer having accumulated enough miles to require certain replacement parts, possibly spark plugs,, adjust timing, valves? Or as in an oil change; required to go to the dealer and how much? BTW - I really like your channel. It's apparent you're a passionate car guy and you're following your dream. I was a nerd in school, had no friends but later, made my money in the market. Now I look back at what most of my classmates are still doing and' I've got the last laugh. Forgot to mention, someone I knew had a MCLaren for about two years. He had a few problems but loved the car. Biggest issue was getting replacement parts. I know of one time where the dealer had the car for over one month just waiting for one part or another. Drove him nuts however he did have a Range Rover as a spare vehicle...when that thing wasn't broken down either. He finally gave up, got rid of both and bought a Rolls Royce Dawn and a G55 Wagon.
I ask this with all respect I promise but are you robbing banks to get all these dang amazing cars? I guess it’s none of my business where you got your $$ but man I just got my C8 and I feel like the luckiest dude in the world. You’re about to get on the Jay Leno level. Love your videos - especially when you picked up your C8 from the museum.
It’s so great to see someone who’s content and happy with their car
Respect,,,Can’t be said enough how you drive these rides till the wheels come off like you stole em

Speed Phenom Great Video I'm glad your 600LT is still in great condition and I can't wait believe it's been over a year already
Loving how you turn it up more while driving in the canyons!
Just a great car! So glad you have found YOUR car. Wish I could experience one.
Nice review Austin. I remember when you picked it up and drove cross country in the snowy conditions!
Favorite car right there!!🤪 great camera work also!! Keep up the awesome content 👍

It's great to see someone enjoy and drive their vehicle as much as you! Well done and keep bringing the content
McLaren LT supercars are amongst the most fun to drive cars on the market.
Austin you rock! Love the channel and content! I'm here for the algorithm! Peace
I have a new appreciation for McLaren
Those operating/tracking costs on the 600LT are VERY reasonable!

Slatted discs dissipate heat much better than smooth discs which is the reasoning for having them on the track since brakes glow orange on track

What nonsense?
How many miles now?
what's the mileage on the car now?
Did you ever get the under car damage fixed or received the money from the seller?...
Like I said in the video, the car is in perfect condition, and everything has been taken care of ever since. Absolutey zero problems.
@@SpeedPhenom there is a story there. I ,for one, would dearly like to hear it.

It’s percentage based of the value of the car. It’s not flat rate
