This is amazing. I didn't realise that the sprue could be used in this way. I am going to use this technique on all of my models going forward. Thanks for sharing.
Well, no offense, but quite a lot of channels explain how to make these kind of things, making sprue glue, or even entire pieces of terrain and miniatures, from example the channel : Miniature Hobbyist Anyway, I'm surprised that GW just allow this content, and there is barely additional money from them.
from raw sprue, you mean? That would be a lot trickier than bricks. But you could easily make broken gun pieces from any spares you have left over in a kit.
I love Warhammer ever since I saw it on an old inquest gamer magazine back in 2002. I just got into the hobby about 4 years ago. I do want to kitbash more, within the constraints of the lore.
I'm definitely gonna use some of these strats too paint my Krieg! However I'm planning to paint them along the lines of Napoleonic/Victorian era Austrians so I may do a more snowy battlefield to give an Austerlitz feel.
I do like the texture paints, but I wish they did come in bigger tubs . Because sometimes it’s difficult to try and get all of it out the tiny pot it’s like trying to scrape the last bit of peanut butter out of the jar . And bigger and more is easier to bases an army with .
They used to make terrain and all sorts of stuff using random items. Theyd do tutorials in their White Dwarfs. Well before trying to push only their product, and increase share holder profits. This is pretty bottom of the barrel compared to the creativity they used to encourage.
This is an aspect of the hobby Games Workshop has neglected for too long. Turning pieces of sprue and leftover bits into a base totally trumps remodelled bases and monopose models, in my opinion!
The annyoing part is when he at start show the first figures he made bases for, and they have barbed wire, but no-show later... Is something comming out soon gw? Please, cause i hate the one i put on is different from yours!
The irony of telling us how to make custom bases to tell the story of our regiment whilst simultaneously retiring the generic infantry squad and forcing us to play one of three named regiments.
Memeber berries members when GW used to encourage creativity all over. They used to make custom terrain using random things and do tutorials of it in white dwarf. Kinda sad that they are trying to milk views off this kind of stuff after they killed that aspect of the hobby in the name of increasing share holders net worth. The saddest part is after they demolished cadia they released a video trying to bring it back. They are just trying to grab every penny they can off this hobby now that they realize its dying and people are doing what ever they want anyways.
Pepperidge farms and member berries member when this kind of stuff was really encouraged by GW. But they killed off the creative side of the hobby to make more money by pushing metas and a competitive scene. Kinda trash that yall are trying to milk some views off this kind of stuff now.
Great to see some custom content and kitbashing
GW returning to their roots maybe?
This video is fantastic, it's good to see the official channel showing people how to do stuff like this.
Absolutely love to see that gw is okay with showing off kit bashing hope we get more content like this in the future.
I'm so glad GW is now allowing comments on their videos. It's really awesome to see other's feed back on the tutorial videos.

We're glad you enjoyed! Make sure to share with us, we'd love to see how you use the technique!

@officialwarhammer can you make broken gun pieces?

@@klug5916 sure, but to be fair not everyone is watching content creators and are just watching the official channel of their chosen hobby.
More tutorials like this!
I wasn't sure in the beginning, but he definitely cooked here. Looks great after the stirland mud is applied/dried. Great job
One of the best videos. More like this!!!
Wow, I love that GW is telling us to use our spare sprue!
Saturday can’t come soon enough. These Death Riders look great.
That's a really good tip! Now I'm regretting dumping a load of old sprues recently but c'est la road trip as they say.
We can suggest a way to acquire more empty miniature frames.
Please enlighten us!!
@PersonSoneone-h6u Giving tithes to the great pile of shame!
Woah! This video was savage! Really useful
Brilliant video, and this chap is a great presenter
Nice to see you build some custom basing. You guys should do some kitbashing videos too.
We do sometimes: ua-cam.com/video/dqg4F2xlMgE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/4CmGTSnhNjI/v-deo.html
This was great! I love your use of sprues! More of this please!
Thank you!
Absolutely superb tutorial! Brilliant use of sprue although I’m going to add some battlefield trophies too! Thank you!

Oh great, now I have a reason to hoard less useless sprues! Wife will love it, thanks! 😁👌
Happy to help!
Please, do more kitbashing and custom content! It used to be almost a staple in the old white dwarves.
Will be doing this for my world esters!
I just got a screamer killer not that long ago, and I need to base all my minis, Thanks for the tips!
I love this, more of this kind of content!
Looks great!
Awesome! I’ve been waiting for videos like these!
Shovel mentioned! W.
Great stuff thanks!
Love Dan !
Really helpful! Would love more tutorials in the more grimdark/grittier style
what is the brown paint at the beginnnig for the bases?
Talk about returning to the golden days.
Nice video!
Really great video, more of this please 😊
Thanks for the feedback. Have a great weekend!
Nice one ❤

Really good tutorial, now I can finally put my pile of half empty sprues to use lol
Amazing!
Thanks!
I still cant believe we have comments
can't believe we have commenters.
@officialwarhammer i begin to blush. Even an answer keep it up. Thats the way.

Bro, you are so smart! All the plastic lying in my house have a purpose nwo

And remember plastic glue for plastic super glue for resins
Next GW video : how to compete against Jon from Miniature Hobbyist and how to build a Warlord Titan with ONLY sprues 😀
Would I be able to use Armageddon dust instead of sterlin mud?
Yes, just results in a lighter colour base.
Niceeeee!!
How big do y'all think that field gun's base is?
Ok, but whats the OST in the background

Vostroyan release next 🥺
why ur painting with one metalic paint when u can paint model with nmm and use more colors 😁😁😁
Would have preordered my kriegers, but GW has policies in place now that make it difficult to support my LGS
Is it just me or the video is very quiet?
Worn torn? Oh dear.
Can you tell us how to do the actual basing?
??
??
??
Can you actually watch the video?
@@khfanatic2021 you can't tell the difference to the box art? Lol ok.
Probably would've bought this box if it wasn't almost entirely horses
1st today!
But what about tomorrow?
@officialwarhammer We'll see 😉
The irony of telling us how to make custom bases to tell the story of our regiment whilst simultaneously retiring the generic infantry squad and forcing us to play one of three named regiments.
@@Onk3lM0 you don’t have to play them as said specific regiment- just use their rules genius
Rules are temporary, miniatures are eternal.

god these are horrible haha get this guy a new job doing tutorials isn't it for him
