Title : Slept So Long Composer & singer : Jonathan Davis (from KoRn) Date : 2002 For ''Queen of the Damned soundtrack'' Audio : original quality mp3 192 kbps
I feel like the whole movie Queen Of The Damned revolves around this song as a central theme... if you know the lyrics. I FUCKING love this song. It's one of the few that will randomly pop up in my head at work or something and start playing through my mind. Haunting. Beautiful. Passionate.
I wish JD released this as a whole album with his vocals only. I love how dark the music in the movie sounded with his vocals. Too bad that contract wouldnt allow it
RAMC -Damien Can confirm. '98-99 live Korn was godly! Still playing a lot of their classic masterpirces then! But as a superfan they've always been top nop notch for me. Got to shake Munki and Fieldy's hands in '06!! 😍 I've loved every album by Korn, even The Path of Torallity (the dubstep one). They try new things all the time, and that's why I never grew tired of them. Sorry fir the fanboy gush... 😂
Jonathan Davis' voice has always been powerful, but damn if his voice during that Issues - Untouchables era wasn't even more so. I always thought his voice changed when they were touring Life Is Peachy. He couldn't do those harsh vocal fry screams as much during that tour and while I think he sang great on Follow The Leader, I don't think he was quite used to the changes his voice had made yet. Issues was where he seemed to find a hidden power in that voice. I had heard he got some vocal training around that period to preserve his voice, but I don't know how true that is. I do know that he was sober on Issues, and I think that had a lot to do with how powerful his voice had gotten. Queen of the Damned is a perfect example of that era of his singing.
Lyrics: Walking, waiting Alone without a care Hoping, and hating Things that I can't bear Did you think it's cool to walk right up To take my life and fuck it up Well did you? Well did you? I see hell in your eyes Taken in by surprise (surprise) Touching you makes me feel alive Touching you makes me die inside Walking, waiting Alone without a care Hoping and hating Things that I can't bear Did you think it's cool to walk right up To take my life and fuck it up Well did you? I hate you! I see hell in your eyes Taken in by surprise And touching you makes me feel alive Touching you makes me die inside I've slept so long without you It's tearing me apart too How'd it get this far Playing games with this old heart I've killed a million petty souls But I couldn't kill you I've slept so long without you I see hell in your eyes (Touching you makes me die inside) Taken in by surprise (Touching you makes me die inside) Touching you makes me feel alive (Touching you makes me die inside) (Touching you makes me die inside) (Touching you makes me die inside) I see hell in your eyes (Touching you makes me die inside) Taken in by surprise (Touching you makes me die inside) Touching you makes me feel alive (Touching you makes me die inside) Touching you makes me die inside (Touching you makes me die inside) I see hell in your eyes
They won't release the audio of Jon doing this song in studio because of conflicts between the label releasing the soundtrack and Korn's own label. That's why the soundtrack has different singers.
the original files of the QOTD soundtrack I found (ripped studio versions unreleased of Jon singing) is 192, and plus the quality of youtube video hardly exceeds 192
Ryan Palmer yeah, but Jay Gordon did a fantastic job as well! There is more sound effects in the background to this one, but regardless, it’s better for sure!
Only this voice does justice to the content.
Albert Wesker idk man. Jay from Orgy did very well on this song.
Imho, Jay's version almost sounds emotional, while this track needs pure Anger and RAAGE!
@@lalemanw Thank you!! someone else who sees the differences in the songs properly
Jonathan's voice is soo from out of this world. LOVE IT!

Damn Jonathan Davis voice is awesome! Love this song so much! Everytime I hear this song it gives me chills. 🤟🖤🖤
Honestly brings tears to my eyes. I think it'd be too much for me to see them live. I'd probably pass the fuck out. Gah..
Kon and JD are very emotional yes

Catch Phrasey honestly it does for me too.
They announced about year ago that they wont play stuff from their debut anymore. Thats why I am so sad about not seeing them earlier.

Lyrics:
Walking, waiting
Alone without a care
Hoping, and hating
Things that I can't bear
Did you think it's cool to walk right up
To take my life and fuck it up
Well did you?
Well did you?
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise (surprise)
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
Walking, waiting
Alone without a care
Hoping and hating
Things that I can't bear
Did you think it's cool to walk right up
To take my life and fuck it up
Well did you?
I hate you!
I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
And touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside
I've slept so long without you
It's tearing me apart too
How'd it get this far
Playing games with this old heart
I've killed a million petty souls
But I couldn't kill you
I've slept so long without you
I see hell in your eyes
(Touching you makes me die inside)
Taken in by surprise
(Touching you makes me die inside)
Touching you makes me feel alive
(Touching you makes me die inside)
(Touching you makes me die inside)
(Touching you makes me die inside)
I see hell in your eyes
(Touching you makes me die inside)
Taken in by surprise
(Touching you makes me die inside)
Touching you makes me feel alive
(Touching you makes me die inside)
Touching you makes me die inside

There are no studio versions of this song with Jonathan singing the only cuts are from the movie unfortunately
They’re on soundcloud!
I have to walkout before I fight to this yall remember this comment whether its Boxing or MMA I claim this
You have some great content, but why would you use the low quality MP3 192 kps ??
the original files of the QOTD soundtrack I found (ripped studio versions unreleased of Jon singing) is 192, and plus the quality of youtube video hardly exceeds 192
I want to know what Jonathan is really saying it just the way bacis needs comes at me that way..
Better than Jay Gordon's version
Ryan Palmer yeah, but Jay Gordon did a fantastic job as well! There is more sound effects in the background to this one, but regardless, it’s better for sure!
@@omardcastrod I agree.... Jay did a great job as well. But I love Davis' version more (though I will admit the bias).
