  • This is part two of my Corsair iCue 5000t build & Gaming PC Mod inspired by MOEBIUS. Heavy Metal magazine’s Moebius-style artwork was pioneered by artist Jean Giraud, who also inspired science fiction film classics like “Blade Runner,” the original “Alien” graphic novel, “Fifth Element” and, of course, its namesake, the 1981 animated cult film “Heavy Metal.” Jean Giraud also contributed illustrations to storyboards and concept designs on numerous science-fiction and fantasy films. I highly recommend searching out his artwork vie Google image search.

As an older child (43) I love water cooling and modding but in this modern Era I almost feel like this is becoming boomer. Everyone I know who is young utilizes mobile and or tiny devices and these desktop pcs are becoming unnecessary. Still cool with my age group. Lol

Great comment! I can tell as Retailer in this market for past 22 years that "custom" PC water cooling is what's bringing in new and younger people to this hobby. My Lian Li FB group is very active daily with custom loops being shared around the globe. On the flipside, I always use AIO coolers in the Giveaway PC's I build cause there's no upkeep to the new owner and they transport safer without any issues. My personal PC has custom loop, just cause they're fun to plan out and build. Am I annoyed by the upkeep of draining and flushing the loop every 6 - 12 months? Sometimes.

I'm 48- I really don't like micro-devices. Can't "wrench" on them! I'll take my custom-built desktop tower any day of the week.

@@Mnpctech_Giveaway_PC_Mods I've been following your builds for a while now and I remember when I built my first system my fittings and blocks cost the same as my components. I'm air cooled now and everything was standard included fans and such. And it's half the price of my first system. I'm glad people are still pushing the envelope though. I wonder. My first real system cost me 6k. What would be a top tier system today.

I'm "only" 25 yo, and I get both parts, I like compact systems with little wasted space, but I still like to customize and do out of the norm things to it.
My first off the shelf case, was a Zalman Z3 plus, without much knowledge nor money, I managed to mount the GPU vertically and support it with a few Meccano parts, it was kind of jank, but it looked way cooler.

The gaming community is where you'll mostly find younger people who still build and want and use desktop stuff. It's just that they need such massive data storage and they play for hours so they need proper cooling. I've seen some guys build their own servers even! Something which as a tech-boomer myself (as in I'm a millennial, but only just, I'm 35, who has boomer-level tech knowledge...) I found absolutely mind-blowing!

Is there a spacer between the 360mm Overkill grill and the fans? If so, how do I get one of those. The tunnel affect to the fans is amazing.

Hello I see that in the front you have 120mm fan on the outside front. Will a single set of 120mm fans fit on the outside front of the case with the mesh? I am trying to figure out clearance on the case before I buy

Hi Bill Owen, Love the design setup and the color rocks. That is an amazing built! Where can I get the aluminum front fan grill for 3 x 140mm fans, a single piece? Is it a custom order? Thank you G
