Hes so versatile! Thats what i love about him, he can be anything, a villain, an antihero, a protecter of earth and STILL be awesome, i love how fluid godzilla is and i hope we get more of him for many years to come!
Kinda reminds me of that “What the internet did to Garfield” video. On one part, it states how there is a document of Garfield as every Pokemon and its easily recognizable as Garfield. I think this is similar to Godzilla, he can be put into almost any from and be recognized as Godzilla.
Born in 1998 and a fan since I could look at a TV. I was 6-16 years old in the 10 year Godzilla hiatus. Now at 26 it brings a tear to my eye when I see little kid geeking out over Godzilla. Life is poetic.
Godzilla is awesome to me because of how fearless he is. Whenever he's fighting other kaiju like MechaGodzilla or King Ghidorah, he never backs down even if the odds don't seem to be in his favor, even when he appears to be outnumbered, even when the enemy is way stronger than he is. He never backs down from a fight and gives it his all. Sometimes, he teams up with other monsters like Rodan, Anguirus, Mothra, or King Kong, and that is so freaking cool to see. Godzilla, as a franchise, has been able to successfully survive and thrive for 70 years now. People are finally recognizing Godzilla and how cool he is, and how much potential he has, especially after seeing Godzilla -1.0 and Godzilla x Kong. Godzilla is alive and well, thriving now more than he ever did, and it's beautiful. It makes me almost want to cry how more people are starting to like Godzilla, whether he's a hero, a force of nature, a mutated dinosaur, an extra dimensional being, a giant plant, the vengeful souls of WW2 victims. I dont see how Godzilla isn't cool.
What makes me a Godzilla fan is how much character he's been given over the years; how he can represent anything the filmmakers need him to be. From an allegory of nuclear destruction, a force of nature, guardian of the earth, a god incarnate, etc.!!
Godzilla has always been my favorite fictional character because of how versatile he is. He can go in different directions and appeal to a lot of different audiences. The success of Minus one and GxK proves this fact. It all just comes down to what suits your preference. He has been so many different things over the years. That usually wouldn't work with many other pop culture icons because of how heavily mandated and restricted they are. It's what makes Godzilla unique. Godzilla's roots has and always will be his variety. There's something for everyone.
Sadly there's a rather large group of people who think Godzilla is only successful because of King Kong and that he owes his entire franchise to him...
Godzilla has been my favorite movie monster since 2014, when I watched my very first Godzilla film - which I can't believe is now a decade old. That movie is still to this day, my favorite movie of all time. Despite many people saying that the older Godzilla movies are not very good, or are too goofy, I personally believe there is still something special about those old films and I think they do an excellent job showing the evolution of Godzilla as a character throughout his 70 years of royal existence. Long live the king.
I grew up watching famous UA-camrs talking about Gojira, doing toy reviews and I just have too thank Godzilla '98 too be my very first Godzilla movie that I've seen as a kid.
I’ve idolized Godzilla as a kid and I still do so as an adult. I used to own the toys and watch the movies as I grew up, and I even played some of the games. My respect for Godzilla will never be lost
Ever since playing Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters for the first time and watching the 1998 movie in my childhood: Godzilla has been part of who I am Along with dinosaurs, dragons, and marine life. Godzilla has helped me go through some tough times, especially when my brother was in a hospital for days and during Covid. Seeing monsters fighting in large cities were always awesome. If it weren't for my cousin introducing me to Godzilla by getting my first large figure of him, then I wouldn't have been interested in the king of the monsters in the first place.. I may be more dinosaurs and animated shows now.., but I will ALWAYS have a spot in my heart...for Godzilla.
Godzilla is such a versatile fun character. What is there not to love about Godzilla? Just right now for me though, the one thing I don’t see him, really anyone ever achieve. Is making a whole story about himself. Barely any transitions back to the humans, the whole movies about Godzilla. I hope that achievement will happen before people get tired of the craziness. It’ll open something fresh and new to the franchise and Godzilla.
Born in 95. The two Godzilla movies I grew up with and introduced me was Godzilla 98 and Godzilla 2000. Even at the age of 5 I knew G98 wasn't the true G-man. I would watch 2000 over and over, fast forwarding to all the Godzilla scenes. I remember desperately wanting to see Godzilla vs Destroyah, searching the internet for anything I could find. Back then the internet wasn't half of what it is today. Every Christmas and birthday I asked for Godzilla toys and movies.. to no avail until later in my youth. G2000 holds a special place in my heart, I'd say it's my fav design and roar. If I were born in the new generation I'd be so spoiled and overjoyed with how easy it is to aquire and watch anything Godzilla. Why is Godzilla awesome? I've always loved dinosaurs so he fits right in with that. I love the character and what it represents overall. Most of the roars are music to my ears. The action scenes, the destruction and monster fights are epic. How mankind struggles to deal with him, and sometimes actually manage to put him down temporarily can be so interesting. I will forever be a big fan of Godzilla!
Because Godzilla can range from serious to superhero-ish and than back to serious and superhero-ish. As well as being a metaphor for the horrors of atomic bombs and being a force of nature that humans can not control.
What got me into Godzilla is something that I share with many people, I was young and just got back from church and decided to sit in the living room with my dad when a movie came on called "GODZILLA". I watched the film and in the film Godzilla was a RADIOACTIVE IGUANA, from then on I always thought Godzilla was one until my dad shared some of the things about him and until I watched Godzilla 2014, and after that I'm a Godzilla fan. I've watched the Heisei Era, Showa, Reiwa the list goes on and honestly, my favorite thing about him is his versatility, he could be anything you want and most of the time it'll be amazing
I became a Godzilla fan in 2014. The first time I saw the trailer I was hooked. The atmosphere, the tension, and the silhouette of Godzilla. His design is so awesome! I then watched some of the older Godzilla movies and I fell in love with them as well. I think he’s so awesome because of who he is. His personality is a big angry monster that never backs down from a fight and never gives up. I think it’s cool to see a giant angry lizard destroy buildings and battle other monsters, what can I say I’m a simple guy lol.
My introduction to Godzilla was the animated series based off the 1998 film. From there, I went back and watched all the old films with my father and my uncle. Godzilla 2014 was the last movie me and a bunch of my high school friends had seen in the theater the week before we graduated and ever since whenever a new monsterverse movie drops we make it a point to try to get together to see it opening night.
What’s amazing about the Godzilla franchise is that any one can enjoy it, Like people who have different taste in movie genre can watch a certain godzilla movie. Like for example, if you want to watch an action movie with tons of fighting, watch godzilla final wars or if you want to watch a really good movie that relates to history, watch godzilla minus one or the first godzilla movie, or if you wanna watch a weird film, then watch godzilla vs hedorah. Godzilla has pretty much done it all.
*Warning. Essay ahead.* When I was young; like 7 years old, my dad would download episodes from Hana Barbara's Scooby Doo on a CD and let's me watch like 4-5 seasons of it. One day, he switches it up a bit by putting three episodes of Godzilla from the same company. The Stone Lions, Firebird and a Magnet Monster were the antags if I remember. This was how I was first introduced to the G Man. A silly show with annoying characters and a big green dinosaur who's roar sounded like a guy playing monster with his kids. But it still holds a special place in my heart for being the gateway to my interest in The King of the Monsters. Zilla '98 was the first Godzilla movie I ever watched. I remember seeing the marketing, the toys, everything. I wanted a figure so bad but all we could afford was a pretty cool moving robot that played sounds of Godzilla playing lazer tag. Funny thing was, I didn't even know it was Godzilla's roar at that time. And then the movie came out..... And I LOVED it. The tone, the effects, and even the tuna eating iguana themself. In a good way, it reminded me about Jurassic Park and Lost World so much that it simply blew my mind. I also remember being so visibly and verbally annoyed whenever Audrey(the FeMC) was on screen. Especially after stealing Ferris Bueller's stuff. When Zilla's kids got blown up and when they got shot down and the people cheered, I was sitting there sad and confused. Why did they look so happy killing Zilla? Why did they blow up those Islands and create them? I get why people hated it back in the day but I was definitely not one of them. The very first Japanese Godzilla movie I watched was actually Tokyo SOS; the second movie in the Kiryu Saga. I had no prior knowledge about many things Godzilla so it was very confusing to me at first. But the more I learned, the more I loved everything Godzilla. I loved his design, I got sad when Mothra saved her kids, and I felt like rooting for the human characters more than Godzilla. Which was really off putting for me at the time. And after watching the other Goji movies, I can confidently say that Kiryu is and will always be my favourite Mechagodzilla. Imagine my surprise when I learned that all these Godzilla media were hated and reviled by the community. But I don't give a damn. They will always have a special place in my heart as the reason why I'm a Godzilla fan today.
Godzilla, the animated series, peter Jackson's King Kong, clover field all got me hooked on giant monster movies. The second literally was so go that I feel in love with giant kajiu and dinosaur as King Kong had both
What makes Godzilla awesome is that it's the kaiju equivalent to the appeal of Jurassic park seeing Dinosaurs come to life, Godzilla has brought monsters to life in a similar fashion no other monster franchise (besides maybe ultraman) has done. They also do it in many different ways and tones so it doesn't feel old while watching it and for all the flack the humans get in these films I actually like most of them.
I love godzilla and all the stories for the other kiju because it can legit go in any direction and it always keeps you guessing what they're going to put in the movies next tbh as a marvel fan it feel alot like the metaverse or Multiverse of marvel and each creature is unique just like the heros in marvel I bet even Stan Lee would agree with me may he rest in peace
In my opinion what makes godzilla such an amazing character is the potential of what he can do story wise and fiscal. How every version of godzilla is different from the last but is still godzilla in their own right .from mutated dinosaur to ancient creature to a Lovecraft god, godzilla always is able to do something different from before whether it works or not .hopefully, if the future thet will make godzilla more of a character with depth and layers but still keep the traits that made him so great
Being a kid in the 80s and watching Showa and Hesei godzilla movies and being like "this giant monster fights other giant monsters?!" and thinking that was so awesome. I've been a huge godzilla fan since
The reason why godzilla is so awesome for me is like what you said, he looks like a dinosaur and I loved dinosaurs back when I was a toddler and I was only little when I found godzilla, even my baby cousin who is only 2 knows how to say godzilla and King Kong very well, and know the difference from a dinosaur and godzilla and he loves it to, i aslo like the setting of the movies, action, struggles, rises, and just hyping overal, and also godzilla is a reason why I still like dinosaurs to so they both made me love both of them even more
I love KotM. I don't understand why it underperformed lol 2:47 I've been a fan since the early 80s. Anytime they had a marathon, I had my VCR ready lol. And then when my grandma bought me Godzilla vs. Biollante on VHS, that blew my mind. A new Godzilla movie I hadn't seen yet. Great time for Godzilla fans new and old. GigaBash inherited the spirit of the Pipeworks Godzilla games. Every fan should be playing it.
I grew up watching the Big G man from the animated 90s show and movie (which I was too young to watch in the cinema on release😢 and had to watch my brother go witness the awesomeness) all the way till now. What an essential icon, 🤞🏾🤞🏾 on an origin story.
King of the Monsters is by far my favourite Monsterverse film. By far. I don't understand why it isn't more popular. I had full on nerd-gasm tears in the cinema during the rebirth scene when the classic Godzilla theme played.
what made me think he is so awesome is because he is an example to never give up even in the hardest times he is a monster that represents hope very powerfully
Hes so awesome because 1. He's Godzilla 2. He's Godzilla and 3. he feels like a force of nature. When you see how he moves around and how aggressive he is when he fights hes just so powerful with it. 4. His design makes him look menacing and he looks like he really rules the earth. Also his abilities and what we dont even know about him yet still has me fascinated and waiting for them to tell us what other abilities he could have in store. Wonder if he can still do a electromagnetic pulse? 🤔
If anything, one thing is certain The Godzilla franchise never really dies. I mean other franchises that Hollywood end up doing us killing then with bad reviews…. While making a kaiju movie that has Godzilla in it…. They simply needed to get their acts together. Now thanks to minus one and gxk, godzilla is now the global icon… and we hope it stays that way forever
Godzilla is awesome to me because he’s something that I like. A big reptile with a beam. I was into that stuff when I was younger. And when i saw him I thought he was just a big dinosaur with spikes. But when I learned more about him I learned that he had a beam, and that his name was Godzilla. I fell in love with it so I learned more and got to know that there were other monsters he fought that were called kaijus. Thats why I think Godzilla is awesome.
I have basically grew up with the Monsterverse Godzilla ever since 2014 even know i was born 2006 but that doesn't matter. But the reason why i think Godzilla is AWESOME! Is that when i first saw the teaser for 2014 n the poster i think thats when i really started to get into Godzilla ngl. But when watched the movie for the first time at home it blew me away😮, the design of Monsterverse Goji is wut got me even more drawn into Godzilla and don't even get me started on his roars in 2014 they feel so powerful especially the victory roar when Godzilla decapitated Female mutos head i love that roar so much❤. And ever since then i have been collecting Godzilla action figures the movies and i even have some of the old godzilla games from the ps2. But all n all thats why i think the GMan is Awaome he was basically my child hood😊
I think Godzilla is awesome cause he’s this big bad ass monster plus the original movie was my first introduction to Godzilla I stuck around to watch it and I fell in love with it ever since.
I've been a huge Godzilla fan ever since i was 7 and I'd always be drawing Godzilla every time whether its in school or at home, and the reason why i just love Godzilla is cause of how awesome his design is and his personality, he's like a mixture between all the Dinosaurs combined and its soooo fucking amazing thinking about it, and have a blue dragon like fire breath coming out of his mouth while his dorsal plates are glowing is even cooler and i was just obsessed with him, I'll always be a Godzilla fan and I'll keep watching Godzilla for life!
I've been a fan of Godzilla since I was 5 years old and back in 1988. I eventually acquired a bunch of Godzilla movies on VHS that was almost as tall as I was at the time. Back then, I was young and just really liked dinosaurs, dragons, and monsters/ creatures in general(and I still do), but now I have a much deeper understanding of who and what Godzilla is. He represents Japan's fear of atomic power. No other fictional character represents something that is strong or real. Godzilla is also very versatile and can be a villain, a good guy or an anti hero(in my personal opinion he's better as a villain or anti hero) and can probably do more than just those roles. The Heisei era and the monsterverse movies are my favorite( although Shin Godzilla and Godzilla Minus One both kick ass). The 1998 movie is my least favorite. I really like the original monsters that Legendary has created, but I feel we need more of the Toho monsters back, including those that never appeared in live action such as Bagan. The idea of the Griffin from the unmade 1994 film would be awesome too.
The reason for why I know Godzilla is awesome is because he feels like an actual animal and if you watch the films you can also see his 😎 guy personality and that’s why I think he’s 🤩.
I was 9 when the monsterverse first started with Godzilla now I’m 19 watching GxK on Blu-ray! I love Godzilla no matter what film! LONG LIVE THE KING👑👑
The first time I ever seen, Godzilla was the Hannah Barbara one but then I started to see some of his movies and as I got older, I wanted to see the very first one and when I did my fascination of him and love for him was even stronger. When they had a marathon, I binged almost every movie they could show or rent them on video..... I was a little disappointed of the 1998 movie in America, but loved the series. Godzilla kept getting better within. TOHO I stayed a fan and I even found out about the other movies that introduced the other TOHO monsters "destroy all monsters" is one my all-time favorite because it had almost all of the monsters that fought alongside Godzilla or against. and you know I had to get the games… OK maybe not all of them but the ones where Godzilla was fighting and destroying buildings for the Dreamcast and PlayStation. There are a few movies. I still need to see as well as a few specials, but all in all he just became one of my heroes and the form of a giant monster. Villain doesn't matter he's pretty much everything to me. Along with the other monsters. 😅 I know I keep texting mouthfuls but this is all on my mind. 🤔 I wonder, though with everything that's going on do you think they can finally make a open world, Godzilla game, a truly open world Godzilla game. 😅 I know I keep saying it, but I seriously just wanna feel like the king of the monsters or any of the monsters destroying everything. I know there's a few games out there that are like that but they're limited. And no, I did not forget about the other giant monster movies that includes Gamera and Ultraman. And of course, King Kong
My mom got me into Godzilla. She watched all the showa movies grown up. First movie I saw was Godzilla vs Megalon. So Godzilla is very dear to my heart.
i think he’s awesome because no matter how many times he is beaten or defeated he still rises back up to stand his ground. then his villain side is awesome because he’s just the embodiment of idgaf and just tears his way through everything with no remorse.
Godzilla is the goat of all giant monsters he’s the example of what we wanted to see come to life as kids playing with our toy monsters and dinosaurs on a bigger scale he’s an inspiration he’s strong powerful brave he never gives up no matter what he’s adaptable in any situation there are so many variations of the Big G Man he’s the farther of all kaiju he’s a staple in time what Toho created back in 1954 was amazing and sparked a massive phenomenon and what the monster verse has continued to bring forth in his legacy is brilliant I’m so happy to see others who love and enjoy Godzilla and thee other Kaiju monsters as much as I do Legendary’s Godzilla is my favorite version of Godzilla 💗💗💗💗💗we just want more of him
I think Godzilla is awesome because he is just that good of a character,I became a fan a year before Godzilla 2014 came out and it has become part of my childhood ever since
I think the reason Godzilla has been such an icon for 70 years is because, in a way, he is a broken mirror to humanity ourselves. Our good deeds and our destructive nature. He IS humanity in a manor of speaking. That's just my interpretation anyway.
Truly a God-king of monsters! I was always impressed by his different incarnations and how some were just straight up menace to society and others being sort of good, Godzilla's versatility has always been one of his strong points as a character. Now I'm just waiting for the pipeworks games to be remastered and a Kaiju no 8 crossover to eventually happen...
My first Godzilla was the Godzilla 1985. It was a random VHS rental I made as a kindergarten student, followed by the original 1954 film. So for me, I have always liked when Godzilla was the baddie, hence Minus One is my new favourite movie.
Been a huge fan as long as I can remember. One of my earlier memories was watching a bootleg copy of Final wars my dad got for me back in '04/'05. I'll be 25 this year. Godzilla at this point honestly almost feels like an old friend and watching him shine in the last decade has been a genuine thrill. We spent 10 years in darkness my friends. No more. As for why he's awesome? Come ooon.... look at him.. hes the king👑
The first toy I ever got to choose my self was the 1994 godzilla toy. It was the last one on the shelf at the toys r us. I was 4 years old and I was a fan even before then. Godzilla is amazing even now when I'm 33, almost 34
I've been a fan of Godzilla since the 1970s. And the reason Godzilla is awesome he represents a wide variety of issues and can go from villain to hero and still be cool.
Godzilla is awesome for having a simple recipe for making giant monster films with a fan base who loves giant monster movies. Plus we don't always get kaiju films so it makes it a rarity especially over superhero films where they would just milk the same hero like Spiderman for an example.
Shout Studios has been running the classic Godzilla movies on their channel! That is how I learned to like Godzilla. Many of those movies were good even if it was a guy in a suit.
I WAS in diapers when 2014 came out. by 2018, i watched Godzilla 2014, 2020 started really liking it, 2024, im 11 and i LOVE IT. litterally the only thing that comes close to my love of dinosaurs, I love acting as the big G, getting the look and all is soo fun. Godzilla forever!
Born 1990 here but grew up with every movie on laser disc that I'd watch nonstop. When you said it was rare to buy toys whew it was like a game for me that when i found one I had to have it haha. Man good to be an older fan
I was so into dinosaurs when I was a kid, and my parents always got me dinosaur toys or figures but one day they gave me a Godzilla figure (a dark green one with silver plates) and I was like "what's this dino?". As I grew older I started watching some clips from the Toho movies and I loved that giant lizard with spikes on his back and that laser he shoots, but I was never able to watch any of his movies until around 2016 my mom was watching the 2014 Monsterverse Godzilla, so I watched it with her and I loved it. Years passed and I heard about Godzilla vs Kong so I went back and now 21 years old I started watching all that Godzilla stuff I've been missing. Just a few months ago I found that little Godzilla figure and realized how he was in my life since my childhood, thanks to my parents, and now I watch the Monsterverse and Toho movies with them
cuz he just looks SO DAMN COOL and he is extremley versatile whcih gives us the power to make him like WHATEVER WE WANT and I just love the thing that godzilla is just a creature that just kicks-ass all the time
Honestly I’d have to say it’s because even when Godzilla shows up in a movie no matter if he’s a hero a villain or what there’s always a sense of awe. Like when he just stepped onto the airfield in 2014 and all the screaming and panic just stopped dead. The Gman always carries that feeling and it just makes the imagination go nuts!
He was my hero growing up my 1st experience was the Return of Godzilla or godzilla 1985 with Raymond Burr when I was 5 and it was the most spectacular thing ever. I've been a fan ever since, and when my classmates would ask Marvel or DC for heroes, I would always say Godzilla
I was born in 65. I grew up watching the sixties movies at age seven. I loved dinosaurs so it just made sense that I loved Godzilla. My favorite movie as a boy was All Monsters Attack. I remember when they had afternoon movies on channel 7. I always looked forward to Monsters Week. I stopped watching them in high school, but started watching again in 2015 with the release of Godzilla. I liked New Empire more than Minus One.
For me, Godzilla is my Motivation to Everything, he helped me in Moments that i really Needed. Back in 2021, i was so scared of the situation that the World was passing, and when GvK and Godzilla SP released, that Fear was gone, it gave me Hope that we could surpass that Crisis, and we actually Did! When i'm stressed out, i see some G-Man's stuff, and makes me feel Better. What makes him so awesome is his uniqueness, that's how he differs from so many Cinematic Universes and survived among the fall of so many them. He can be and do whatever people want him to do and be, if he fly, he flies, if he's a Villain, he's a Villain. And independent if he's Silly or he's Serious, i love, and will Always love Godzilla! He's the reason why i want to become a Filmaker and one day, hope to direct a Godzilla film!!!
Godzilla What makes him awesome is everything, the character, the power, the fights, the powers, all of that makes Godzilla what he is him. And people love that, the degsins are so versatile to fit everyones liking and thats amazing. His frenemis are also amazing A spikes up 50m ankylosaurs ( anguirus ) yea that's amazing A 3 headed dragon with golden beams of light that towers Godzilla ( gidorah ) AMAZING the ugly bully that bully's Godzillas adopted son minilla or minya ( gabara) ehh good A giant bug lava ,pterodactyl,a digging puppy and much more make me love godzilla as a franchise. Long live the King!!!
I first got interested in Godzilla back on ‘07 when I was 5. I used to be a King Kong fan but got tired of the same old plot. So I went on the computer on the Netflix website and tried to find more King Kong movies. Then I came upon a movie called King Kong vs Godzilla. Ever since then, I ditched the hairy ape and was now obsessed with the big G. It was a lonely time to be a Godzilla fan since the last movie came that out was 3 years prior. And the only way to get my hands on a Godzilla movie was either rent it on Netflix and get it in the mail, or go over to Blockbuster to try and find a Godzilla movie to rent. So from the time I discovered Godzilla up until 2014, I watched all the Godzilla movies starting from the Showa era, then the Heisei era, and then the Millennium era. And funny enough the last Godzilla movie I watched was the very first one, Gojira.
What Legendary needs to start doing is setting up a solid plan for the Monsterverse since let's be honest, they haven't been doing that with New Empire. I'm very intrigued when it comes to animals, how they behave, look, and their biology so I see Godzilla as this majestic beast that pulls me in in all of those things. Plus, those dorsal plates add to his menacing factor and I just love a good side profile that shows them off.
I’ve always loved Godzilla I was born in the 90s and watched the heisei godzilla movies but after 98 ZILLA movie which (I enjoyed as a kid)Godzilla went to the background of my mind but then 2014 Godzilla sparked my interest again, for awhile (as it was competing with Marvel for my attention). But since my son was Born (2019) my love and attention has been sole focused on Godzilla especially causes my son has become a even bigger fan of Godzilla than I ever was and I’m loving that!! Godzilla has given my son and I something to bond with and I will always thank The Big G for!! That’s why Godzilla is awesome for me.
To me I think Godzilla is awesome because I love what he’s become over the decades. I was a wee lad when I saw the 98 movie, then when 2014 came along Godzilla had my heart in a vice grip and I have loved him ever since. Not only does he represent humanity’s darkest moments, he also represents humanity’s resilience and determination to survive. Only recently I have realised how Godzilla is now a symbol for strength and perseverance despite everything falling apart. That is why I think Godzilla is awesome. LONG LIVE THE KING💙
What made you think Godzilla is awesome?
-Jacob
EVERYTHING
The fact that he’s still popular after soo many years
Godzilla king of the monsters the first Godzilla movie I saw
By existing Godzilla is awesome
Everything.
@@Fire-Hydrant-Cactus definitely
Well said sir!!👍🏾
That’s how I view Godzilla as well.
Long live the King.
And then you'll have a bunch of people who will invist he should be only one thing.
Born in 1998 and a fan since I could look at a TV. I was 6-16 years old in the 10 year Godzilla hiatus. Now at 26 it brings a tear to my eye when I see little kid geeking out over Godzilla. Life is poetic.
Do you have a favorite Godzilla movie
Wish I could like this comment more, being a 1998 baby myself I feel the exact same way.
Yeah
@@animezilla4486 perhaps he s like Gidzilla 98
I feel the same way and also being a 98 baby
"CAUSE HE'S THE GOAT, THE GOAAAT! "
"THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT, THATS WHY HES THE MVP!!!!!"
Yeah
What makes me a Godzilla fan is how much character he's been given over the years; how he can represent anything the filmmakers need him to be. From an allegory of nuclear destruction, a force of nature, guardian of the earth, a god incarnate, etc.!!
True that my friend.
Long live the King!
And an anime character or a samurai 😂
"Greatest Of All Titans"
Godzilla is truly the best kaiju in fiction
Godzilla has always been my favorite fictional character because of how versatile he is.
He can go in different directions and appeal to a lot of different audiences.
The success of Minus one and GxK proves this fact.
It all just comes down to what suits your preference.
He has been so many different things over the years.
That usually wouldn't work with many other pop culture icons because of how heavily mandated and restricted they are.
It's what makes Godzilla unique.
Godzilla's roots has and always will be his variety.
There's something for everyone.
That’s how I view Godzilla as well.
Long live the King.
Sadly there's a rather large group of people who think Godzilla is only successful because of King Kong and that he owes his entire franchise to him...
@@FrostbiteDigitalthose are not true godzilla fans
You mean why isn’t he so awesome ?!
But why is he ??? Cuz everything !!!!
Godzilla is the goat,Godzilla is THE KING
The King of the Monsters is just the MVP and the Father of the Kaiju Genre! I love him from both Toho and Monsterverse.
Godzilla isn’t just king of the monsters, he’s king of the cinema!!
"Long Live The King"
"SKREEEOOONNKK!"
"Let Them Fight!"
What’s amazing about the Godzilla franchise is that any one can enjoy it,
Like people who have different taste in movie genre can watch a certain godzilla movie.
*Warning. Essay ahead.*
When I was young; like 7 years old, my dad would download episodes from Hana Barbara's Scooby Doo on a CD and let's me watch like 4-5 seasons of it.
Godzilla was almost every 90s/00s kid childhood hero and continue to be going into adult hood.
Godzilla, the animated series, peter Jackson's King Kong, clover field all got me hooked on giant monster movies. The second literally was so go that I feel in love with giant kajiu and dinosaur as King Kong had both
When I was six years old I used to watch Godzilla 2014 and now looking back monster verse Godzilla is amazing
I've been a huge godzilla fan since
The reason why godzilla is so awesome for me is like what you said, he looks like a dinosaur and I loved dinosaurs back when I was a toddler and I was only little when I found godzilla, even my baby cousin who is only 2 knows how to say godzilla and King Kong very well, and know the difference from a dinosaur and godzilla and he loves it to, i aslo like the setting of the movies, action, struggles, rises, and just hyping overal, and also godzilla is a reason why I still like dinosaurs to so they both made me love both of them even more
Shout out to Toho for coming up with Godzilla and legendary for helping improve the popularity.❤
Hell yeah!
I love KotM. I don't understand why it underperformed lol
2:47 I've been a fan since the early 80s.
Same here.
KOTM made me a dedicated Godzilla fan
I love how the story line is going ,I grew up on Godzilla movies keep up the good work, love The G x K he's just awesome.
Because he is the GOAT
what made me think he is so awesome is because he is an example to never give up even in the hardest times he is a monster that represents hope very powerfully
Big monster fight, big monster destroy city, big monster is awesome 🔥
Hes so awesome because 1. He's Godzilla 2. He's Godzilla and 3. he feels like a force of nature. When you see how he moves around and how aggressive he is when he fights hes just so powerful with it. 4. His design makes him look menacing and he looks like he really rules the earth. Also his abilities and what we dont even know about him yet still has me fascinated and waiting for them to tell us what other abilities he could have in store. Wonder if he can still do a electromagnetic pulse? 🤔
If anything, one thing is certain
The Godzilla franchise never really dies.
I mean other franchises that Hollywood end up doing us killing then with bad reviews…. While making a kaiju movie that has Godzilla in it…. They simply needed to get their acts together.
Now thanks to minus one and gxk, godzilla is now the global icon… and we hope it stays that way forever
There's no way you can really answer this question. He transcends anything in our wildest imagination!!
Thats why I think Godzilla is awesome.
for me, i'm a Godzilla fan for a lot of the same reason you mentioned with the whole dinosaurs and dragons thing.
I myself like Godzilla because sometimes about giant monsters beating each other up is appealing to me
Godzilla is the most GOATED character ever introduced!
To me godzilla can bring a certain vibe when he comes on screen and that’s what makes him great like when they first introduced him in 2014!
Godzilla is the most dominant of monsters, now he’s more stronger & so beautiful he is,love the king of monsters
Godzilla is a cool radio-active dinosaur with different awesome interpretations, do i need to say more ?
I grew up loving Godzilla and Jurassic park and they have and always will have a special place in my heart
I have been a Godzilla fan since I was five 38 yrs
Great analysis, Jacob!
He's just one of a kind.
Godzilla is the goat of all giant monsters he’s the example of what we wanted to see come to life as kids playing with our toy monsters and dinosaurs on a bigger scale he’s an inspiration he’s strong powerful brave he never gives up no matter what he’s adaptable in any situation there are so many variations of the Big G Man he’s the farther of all kaiju he’s a staple in time what Toho created back in 1954 was amazing and sparked a massive phenomenon and what the monster verse has continued to bring forth in his legacy is brilliant I’m so happy to see others who love and enjoy Godzilla and thee other Kaiju monsters as much as I do Legendary’s Godzilla is my favorite version of Godzilla 💗💗💗💗💗we just want more of him
I think Godzilla is awesome because he is just that good of a character,I became a fan a year before Godzilla 2014 came out and it has become part of my childhood ever since
To me Godzilla is up there with other classics monsters, Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman and others.
I was a fan since 2003, I was ten years old.
Because he’s the true King of the Kaiju’s.
Because he is the king of the monsters and he a big Icon and my childhood favorite
Godzilla has been badass since 1954 and that will never change that's why he's so awesome
Godzilla forever!
also i was born 2013
im still a teen but ive been a fan since i was a child and i use to watch all the old classics before discovering the monsterverse
I have been a fan since I was a kid
So it's a pleasure to see the godzilla legacy keep moving forward
Godzilla: good, Bad, I’m the Kaiju with the nukes!
Perfectly summed up why I love Monsterverse Godzilla. I just find him so identifiable.
This is one thing that Gojira has that Kong will never have.
A pea-brain?
Godzilla
What makes him awesome is everything, the character, the power, the fights, the powers, all of that makes Godzilla what he is him. And people love that, the degsins are so versatile to fit everyones liking and thats amazing. His frenemis are also amazing
A spikes up 50m ankylosaurs ( anguirus ) yea that's amazing
A 3 headed dragon with golden beams of light that towers Godzilla ( gidorah ) AMAZING
the ugly bully that bully's Godzillas adopted son minilla or minya ( gabara) ehh good
A giant bug lava ,pterodactyl,a digging puppy and much more make me love godzilla as a franchise.
Even a young mind can realize upon seeing Godzilla, you know he trumps everything....
The 1998 Godzilla movie introduced me to him and the kaiju genre as a whole. Say what you want about that film but I will always be indebted to it.
He is the unwavering spirit of planet earth’s fury.
