I wanna do the lil xc stuff 😅 they can call me a baby all they want. If I ever jump my mare over something higher than 3ft it'll be over a knock-able pole! I do find this stuff hella impressive though. Sometimes I think maybe one day but my goodness do I really want to?
Wow those were jumped beautifully, and those horses are also gorgeous! I laughed so much when she said: “The horse stopped because it’s a tractor.” LMAOO
One of my aunts rode cross country, she's had some pretty bad falls but nothing too serious. She stopped riding when she got pregnant for the first time and never did it again, because she had kids and it's too dangerous when you mught end up in the hospital for a long time and unable to care for your children. But she did miss it and loved watching me ride as I was rehabilitating horses that had gone through hell. I hope she gets back on a horse one day, when her kids are independent enough.
Make sure she starts back at the basics, my mom used to ride horses, but then she quit for a long time. Then a friend from her work asked her if she wanted to go on a trail ride, but she wasn't as experienced as before and during a gallop, her horse either tripped or bolted. My mom fell of and broke her back, she got lucky because she didn't get paralysed and she's fine now. Just make sure that when your aunt starts riding again she relearns the basics first, better safe then sorry. I do hope your aunt gets to enjoy horseriding again!!
As much as I love xc, jumping that high, ESPECIALLY when there's a drop right after the jump is ridiculously dangerous, people are honestly idiots for taking such a risk for a piece of ribbon
Yep, one of my biggest gripes with XC. That’s not to mention all the jumps with huge freaking ditches in the middle, let alone how none of the jumps are collapsible so risk of injury is even higher. _Especially_ rotational falls which are the deadliest kind (if you look up equestrian rotational falls 99% of the photos will show XC falls). This is the horse-riding equivalent of swimming through an alligator-infested river. And hey, I’d be fine with that if the person really wants to do it, but the fact that they’re happily endangering their horses’ lives (who have no choice in the matter) is a huge issue. I have my gripes with showjumping as well but at least the jumps fall apart upon impact and horses aren’t being jumped down steep hills and immediately made to jump again at the bottom.
That's Werribee Park and I've done marshalling on horseback there a while ago now, but it was the best experience I've ever had, and a great day, I wouldn't do cross country, but love watching it.
@@Horse-xm7efawwh common does she not knpw there is no bad weather only bad clothes 😢 it's so worth going in the rain anyway! I was out riding today in pouring rain i love it as long as the horse is fine it won't stop me 😊 you should tell her tp get a good raincoat or a see through bubble maybe heheh
@@mayac1438 I ride in the rain to but we live about 3 hours away from Werribee and we wanted to watch the xc but she said that she’s not driving 3 hours to stand in the rain and be cold😢

"my horse simply would not" is so real 😭😭
When I first saw cross country I rlly did think that it was a picnic table not a jump 💀
I’m an eventer and I still scared of people doing xc that high
I agree it is very scary

You should see us on a day to day basis we always look at things and say “That would make a perfect cross country jump!” 😂

It was for Melbourne 3 day I wanted to go but my mum said no because it was meant to rain 😢

Aaaa I was working that event this weekend - I was judging those silly-scary tracker jumps! I wish I'd been able to see you and say hello :D
Cross country is not for the weak hearted for sure!!! Seen so many insane falls on events! 😮
I'm 14.... and I wanna try it.... does that mean I'm brave hearted?
Girl you are absolutely gorgeous and such a funny equestrian! You are my literally my idol! 😁

So happy I got to meet u ur a rlly amazing rider and very relatable ❤❤
Maybe they are training the horses to jump over market tables for movies.
When I first saw a cross country jump, it litterly looked like a picnic
this is literally my western riding best friend whenever she watches me compete she's like "how just how......and why"
I thought you meant getting paid to set up those jumps, which are actually pretty creative and cute ngl
I would totally do cross country, it looks so fun lol
This it's so true!! (Btw first!)
I only jump poles, WAYYY too scared to even go over small XC jumps my friend made herself, like no ty 😭

This is a great looking course.
Cross so I try is just so unreal to watch
If I had to learn a English discipline instead of a western one I’d probably learn xc 😭 looks like fun
I wish I could've been there to watch it but I was too busy 😭
Oh look there they have a picnicking table with them😂😂
Omg you are at weribee. I love it there also huge fan 😅
Cross country scares me ahh those drops I could never risk it
haha I was there! I would get heart attacks over some jumps
X-country rules: if there's flags at either side, it's an obstacle. 😂
Is that werribee mansion??? My family owned that place back when it was built!! I'm related to Thomas and Andrew Chirnside
The one time I walked a course I had to have the jumps explained to me. I still don't understand how in the world these horses just jump ANYTHING!
I’m an eventor and yeah we have lost our minds ❤❤ don’t worry
Me first time watching cross country:Why are they jumping and not eating there?
I love cross-country I think it’s so cool but at the same time it is a little dangerous, but so are all the other disciplines
FIRST THATS SO FUNNY
Yup I do😊
Is that Melbourne international??
XC is really dangerous and i feel as tho people shouldn’t push their horses to do such crazy jumps like that
If it has flags it's a jump 😂
You went to Werribee 3 day international event!
