I think they will probably see that 2 states away!! Cool cold start, I like how most of your diesels blow " smoke rings" just befor they take off running!!
I'm a logger myself as far north as you can go in NH. had -20 here this morning, but everything started right up. gotta love the either with the donkey on the can!
hi john hope this finds you and your family well love the videos please keep them coming and as always still sending prayers and love to you all stay safe
You did good as always. You need at least one pony motor started rig to keep you happy. I always fired the pony on the 8 and let it idle and turn the diesel off compression while I drank a cup of coffee. When the coffee was gone the pony was warm and I opened it up, flipped the compression over and put the fuel to it. If something didn't 'chuff' pretty quick I'd kick the fuel back off and let it stir. Then yank the fuel and it's usually take off one at a time and build till the diesel outran the pony. Then the whole country would be white smoke filled. Ahh, the old days were sweet! 4's, 6's and 7's were the same. Plus pans, graders and everything else. And a pony motor acted just like my old Harley, 68 Electra Glide so I had no problem with either, electric start, rope start or stomp it off. HEAL Girlies and Blessings yall!
When I fire up my log truck on cold mornings it makes one hell of a cloud. I live right next to a highway and it goes across like fog. Had couple people come tearing into my drive because they thought something was on fire.
Oh geee eh! She's a skookum choocher! lol. That's some pretty wicked clag there bud. The Timberjack likes a good toke in the morning too I guess. Those smoke rings are to die for! Hope the ladies are still improving. Prayers still going up here. Stay safe out there buddy! (Take a drag of diesel smoke for me!) lol
it a trade off shoot a snot of starting aid, open the throttle start turning the starter. stop and let it cool and repeat all over again or just chance tearing up the starter and get it going.
One thing about the smokey cold starts is that you can see where all of your exhaust leaks are. :) I see you have a blue can of "crack" to help with the starts. onelonleyfarmer calls starting fluid "crack." If you haven't already check out his channel.
good thing that v12 has lots of cylinders, it can find at least one to run on til the others get warmed up enough to fire... How are the girls doing? Hope all is well....
almost need a fog horn to warn people. lots of smoke. looked like the skidder started the hardest. was starting fluid used on it. can we get an update on lacey. still praying for both the girls
Hey bro tell pauly to rock that steering wheel back and forth through the resistance it will relieve the hydraulic pressure from the motor on the cold start allowing the engine to start easier it's a ole Canadian trick lol
I don't think I have ever seen so much smoke from 3 diesel engines!! - Just how cold was it actually? Do you expect that Starter on that John Deere to last much longer? That torture is just so cruel!
you make the chippers for a mill, is it possible to see one time the mill in a video with unloading the truck's and work they do with the chippers greeting Yvonne from the Netherland's
where in Michigan are you if you had a cold start like that? I live further north than you and my stuff fired right off. northern wisconsin had 40 above this morning and thunderstorms rolling in this afternoon.
that chipper cold start was insane..... and I betcha you could smell the diesel for a long ways off that day.... I think its a shame the made the diesel engine's "Clean"
The best cold start that I have seen on UA-cam.
+Chris Wirth Yeah baby!!! Thanks for watching

Rudolf Diesel himself would be proud of a start like that!
I think they will probably see that 2 states away!! Cool cold start, I like how most of your diesels blow " smoke rings" just befor they take off running!!

Nothing like a good, rude startup.
Would have loved to have seen what you're doing inside the cab while starting it. I'm so curious what the procedure is
That's got to be a Deere motor in there
+Logger Wade Yes sir!!! Get some!! Lol Thanks for Watching Wade!!
Logger Wade) Sounds just like our 644e. That Bosch pump thinks it has to see red line before she'll idle. Drives me bonkers!
That Chipper Guy haha I know a 6068 when I hear one
Logger Wade or a 466 Deere. sometimes you swear they'll never catch themselves. lol
Logger Wade I'm not sure what the timber Jack uses but the other two are Cat's. I think 6 cyl and a 12 cyl . I love the big engines.
I don't think I have ever seen so much smoke from 3 diesel engines!! - Just how cold was it actually?

Which starts better in the cold: the 535 or the 'Jack?
Makin' some fine white chug that morning !
the best one of all
+Stuart O'Neill Thanks Stuart!!

Morning y'all don't work too hard haha
you got some powder Suger for those donuts
Somewhere, an environmentalists is needing a safe space and crayons to cope with the amount of smoke in the air.
I like it.
+Aaron Bryant yeah baby!! Thanks for Watching Aaron
Don't forget the puppies and ice cream.
Would be interesting to see what a Tier 4 final looks like on a similar cold start.
Need to adjust the chokes....
Amazing smoke ring machine bit there must be cheaper options 😂
that chipper cold start was insane..... and I betcha you could smell the diesel for a long ways off that day.... I think its a shame the made the diesel engine's "Clean"
i think i can, i think i can
Rolling coal baby!!
+Travis NYE Yeah buddy!! Thanks for Watching
you should have put a warning to the EPA in here

Great videos! Is the big one on the chipper a CAT
+Rob Miles Yep 800hp V12!! Thanks for watching
That's a mighty beast, love it!
did that little car get pulled in by skidder too? lol
Do you ever use ether, or do you stay away from that?
George Oleson if you watch closely you can see him give each motor a little shot of ether right before he turns them over
That car in the background , was that a cop watching ?
good morning
the way the first engine on the chipper runs reminds me of one of those old steam engines
+Mr Pooler hehe I see you!!
Mr Pooler yea i see what your talking about
