My VA Registered Service Dog Damian passes away Oct 28th 2021 from bone cancer..He was a long haired Rottweiler. My wife and Mother got me a pup. A phantom Black with Brown paws Golden Doodle name Dunkin. He was 4 months old when I got him. He is a good boy. The Rottweiler was much more intensive.
Id like to know more about this breed of dog. Can they bark pretty loud and are they a protective watch dog? My hearing is getting worse and I want a dog to train to come and wake me when needed. Do they get along with other pets and children?
Boxers are perfect but some boxers are so wild as pups but there so friendly and mice and bark load Mine was really wild then calmed down at the age of two and now every little knock RUFF RUFF (Sad note) It’s getting to that time where she’s old not as active as she once was even though she calmed down And she’s really old hair is missing on her it’s sad i love her so much
Mine's fairly quiet but in general they don't make good watch dogs or guard dogs. But they tend to be friendly towards people (children included) and other pets so despite not being protective, they still make great family pets. But Goldendoodles are smart and have been trained as service dogs so if you do get one, you can train yours to help you with tasks like waking you up.
This is a Labradoodle. Why are you talking about a boxer?! It’s clear that M Paxton needs a more gentle breed, not an active boxer. I’ve had Labs most of my life and they are super smart and extremely loyal. If an emergency happens a Lab will do whatever it takes to warn and save you. That’s one if the reasons why they use them as service animals. Now the poodle overall is probably the smartest of the dog breeds. The combination of the two breeds to make this beautiful Labradoodle just equals out to a fantastic dog. My lab would wake me every workday at 6:00. I didn’t use an alarm clock and on Saturday morning he would wake me around 9:00 then touch the TV with his paw so I would turn it on because he liked watching cartoons. That’s just one example of how smart a Lab can be. I can give you a list of things my Labs have done for me without any training at all. They also have a loud warning bark and if you throw a rock into a lake they’ll retrieve that exact rock you threw. They’re amazing dogs.
