Thank you for the review. One piece of information not mentioned is the coming tariff wars with China. So if you're going to buy, it may be prudent to do it in 2024.
This goes for lithium batteries too. Importers will bring forward their inventories now because sales will plummet after trump tarrifies (pun intended) the country.
I agree with you on these. I have 2 Bluetti AC 300s for home backup. A Pecron Ep3600 for overlanding. I supplement these with Bluetti AC180 for portables. All seem to be very solid.
BTW if anyone have never had a power station before. The best one to get would be the Oupes Mega 1 as a starter. You can get one for ~$400. 2000w is enough to run just about any household electronics. Highly portable(28lbs) for a unit capable to running 2000w and expandable.
I just ordered the Anker SOLIX F2000 with 3 - 400wt Solar Panels with black Friday deals. Each piece was 30+ percent off. We have an RV so that connector was a plus. Our use case is just playing around with solar. Beach, basecamp for our weekend getaways, keeping an ICECO APL55 12v fridge charged that we also just ordered.
Great information for deciding, with your reviews I bought the E600LFP a year ago and just placed the order for the E1500LFP with your discount code and dc to dc charger, thank you.
I just discovered your channel and it’s good. I like it. I have been going over some of your power station reviews because I’m in need of an upgrade. I would like to point out one thing that is always overlooked. It is very important to Astro photographers. We have to use these things in the field or even in our backyard on an everyday basis whenever the sky is clear and the 12 V ports are very important with Astro photography. Almost everything runs off of those two 12 V DC 5.5x2.1 jacks and if they are not present on the unit, then they are automatically disqualified. They run everything from the star tracker to the computers and the dew heaters. They run continuously from sundown to sun up. I just wanted to point this out for any future testing that you engage in that you consider this in your test. Thank you for everything you are doing. I am leaning towards a Pecron E600.
Great video. You nailed it in the large category with the Pecron E1500 and Oupes Mega 1. However in the X large category, the best budget should have been the Oupes Mega 2 vs the Anker. Both has the same wattage and capacity but the Mega 2 has 3 advantages. 1) It's cheaper, usually ~$200 less. 2) Better solar input. Up to 140v max vs 60v. That's a huge difference. 3) The Mega is 48lbs vs Solix 67lbs. Another huge difference. I don't see why would anyone buy the Solix F2000 vs the Oupes Mega 2.
Any suggestions for a solar generator that can input over 1400 watts of solar and maybe cheaper without an oversized battery? Something meant for extremely fast charging
A very useful and informative video... Thank you 🙏... I am looking at going (almost completely) off-grid but I may have to seriously curtail my current consumptions... But a very well presented vlog 👏👏👏..
I'm buying a Oupes Mega 2 and B2 battery during their Black Friday Sale. I have a Jackery, Big Blue, Oupes 2400W and next is the Mega 2. I'm very happy with my lineup.
Great review, Pecron and Anker aren't really available in Australia, but I did finally get the Pecron 500 watt charger arrive this week. I was going to chip you about not including the Zendure super base pro! I love mine! Bought it after your recommendation! But then I realised it was two years ago! 😮 Damn we're that time go!
I agree about the Dabbsson 1300. Love that I can choose my charging speed (slow charging when u can is better for longevity). More AC and DC ports than the bluetti too. +Great price per w/h
Picking the Anker F2000 over Bluetti AC200L ? Bluetti has 1200w of solar , solar input voltage is 135v vs 60v on anker , bluetti can be connected thru Wi-Fi as well. Also the bluetti is only $1000 vs $1200
Wow, no EcoFlow boxes in the mix. I was just about to order their Delta 3 Plus (which on backorder), but the Dabbsson looks very interesting. Since I'm not in a hurry should I wait for Solid State stations to become mainstream? Or buy now before everything becomes more expensive next year?
What are your thoughts about the Anker F3800? For expanded capacity I bought a $1,000 51.2v 100ah server battery. 8500+ watt hours. I just connect via a heavy gauge xt60 connected to the solar/dc input on the F3800.
I'm hoping to review the F3800 fairly soon. It seems like a solid unit - though I removed it from my 'modular' discussion since it technically didn't fit the (self-imposed) definition. :P Still, I've been extremely impressed Anker's offerings so far.
Thanks for the video, but you didn’t include the extra large solar generators that typically have between 4000 and 5000 W hours with batteries contained inside of them like the Oupes mega five.
Great video packed with a ton of information for the novice getting into solar power. I love and hate the choices you made and agree with them but I would never consider buying any of the Pecron models even though I have salivated over the 1500 unit. Had a bad experience with the company a few years ago where they were not helpful and would not pay for shipping to get item looked at. I've dealt with other companies and they stand behind their product and pay for shipping. Just wondering since this is an unsponsored video. Have you noticed any changes or have you had experience with Pecron's customer service? For me this has been the only deal breaker and why I have no longer purchased their products. I have no clue if their Customer service has gotten any better.
I have bought their products for the past 2 years and the after-sales service I received is great. They have been getting better and better over the years. You can try
Well, this provides a little bit of validation on my choices. Pecron E300LFP, 2xE600LFP, 2xE1500LFP, Oupes Mega1, Bluetti AC70. I'm surprised that the Bluetti AC180 and AC200L did not make the list at all. I know that there are many options out there, but those two are both great price/performance/versatility options.
Does Pecron still require you to pay return shipping if the unit fails under warranty? Thought I saw that on a YT review...maybe not this channel, though. The PECRON E500LFP I have is loud while recharging, really cranks up the fans versus my EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus units which are silent when both are limited to 500W charging.
Best overall pick for overlanding/offroading is the Etaker M2000. The Etaker M2000 is only 37lbs (30% lighter than other 2000WH stations) and half the size of any 2000+ WH power station. 2008 WH with 89% capacity DC and 93% capacity AC. It has Semi solid state with GAN technology. 2000 Watt AC inverter and takes 1000 watts of solar. Has split phase 240v and is expandable up to 20,000 WH. Charges from 0-100% in 1 hour. Last fully EMP protected.
Interesting, I’ll have to look at that suggestion and compare it to my two Anker 767’s. Thanks. Does it really have 240 volt split phase from just a single power station? If yes, then the 2000 watt inverter and 2k watt hour capacity are small for most 240 volt needs, but still could be useful in some use cases. Edit: Just checked out the m2000 and I see that it’s smaller and lighter because it’s NOT LiFePo batteries, so less lifespan and less safety, I’ll stick with my Anker 767’s. Also, like the Ecoflo, you need two, to output 240volts.
@CaptCalgary yeah I've not been super impressed by Allpowers lately. Lots of failures (firsthand as well as a number of viewer reports). I only left off the F3800 because it didn't technically fit the 'modular definition with a separate inverter module...but as I said in the video, I do plan to do a more thorough coverage of that product space as soon as I can.
@@candicebeebe6688 you just need to know the max power draw of the microwave and make sure it is within the max continuous output rating of the AC inverter on the power station.
@ yeah it was kind of a toss up. I don’t really need expandability. Went for Bluetti based on a friends positive experience. Do like the fact that Ankers is light by 10lbs
@Ross_Schmidt yes Sir ... $388 is correct i Had a little fat finger issue when I normally voice text.. thank you for replying enabling me to fix my blunder.🤣
No mention of the Echoflow Delta 3 Plus? You were very high on it in your review of it. Why has is dropped so substantially to not even an honorable mention? I was getting ready to buy it on Prime Day.
I think there is an error with this video. It looks like there is a gaussian blur that is tracking under your chin the entire video. Almost as if something is being hidden. Might want to check it.
I don’t think it’s a great feat to achieve 97% AC efficiency; they just have to adjust their advertised claims to approximate actual results. Still I would like this to become a standard industry practice.
I agree that it would be preferrable if everyone listed a standard Useable capacity rating...say, at a .2C discharge rate maybe. But I also do think that the 97% efficiency number I got from the Elite 200 V2 IS pretty darn impressive - especially when compared to the literally dozens of other units I've tested that produce nowhere near that kind of number.
@myself-tp2my since it didn't technically fit the definition of modular home backup (separate inverter and battery modules) and i haven't yet gotten my hands on it, I elected to remove it from this particular discussion, but as I indicated in the video I plan on doing a more detailed video on that segment and will include the F3800 then.
Surprised no mention of the Jackery 1000v2 considering how well it performed during your tests. One the lightest, quietest, and most efficient 1000wh power stations on the market. $400 on sale now on Amazon makes it one of the best values on the market IMO.
No mention of the Echoflow Delta 3 Plus? You were very high on it in your review of it. Why has is dropped so substantially to not even an honorable mention? I was getting ready to buy it on Prime Day.

I can only dream of owning one.

@ReeWrayOutdoors fair enough 👌
I have the Anker 767, Ecoflow Delta 2 and Ecoflow Delta 2 Max. I prefer the two Ecoflow units. I also have a couple of the smaller Ecoflow units.

Good summation, but disappointing that the Anker F3800 nor the Jackery 500 Plus are included, as they offer 120/240V output from a single unit...
