507001 BRITISH RAIL BLUE LIVERY Departs West Kirby for Liverpool Central

Ever since I found out this train had been done up in its original British Rail Blue Livery, I have been determined to find it. But with so many trains on the Merseyrail network, the words needle, and haystack, spring to mind! It was evading me. Until this afternoon, when I chose to pop to Tesco after work and spotted it on approach to Bidston. I immediately pulled out my phone to work out when it would be in West Kirby, and could I be there to coincide with it. Answer, YES.
And so here is 507001, in its splendid British Rail Blue Livery, departing West Kirby as the 16:06 West Kirby to Liverpool Central service.
