    Nice video, thanks. We have the non-WiFi version, Velis EVO 80 in our 2 BR/2 BA flat. Just a few questions:
    1) While using the shower, is there a way to know how much hot water is left, like a fuel gauge on a car? Seems that's what the dots would be good for, but the top just flashes while showering and doesn't change until we run out of hot water.
    2) To maximize the amount of hot water available, is it better to have the temperature set higher and shower mixing more cold, or a lower temperature and use less cold water?
    3) The button between the power and the shower ready - when would that be ideal to use?
    Cheers!
    Chris

    Great content here, the Ariston unit looks like a nice bit of kit including its (WiFi) connectivity controls. Next is a tongue in cheek complaint, can we please not refer to the safety relief valve discharge as a blow-off? ;) please please? lol.
    Loved your explanation of the thermal storage tank and how it operates. Keep up the good work Derek

      But it is a blow off.......... It's always been a blow off......... When you're in a loft installing a HWC and it's 40 degrees it's a blow off.......

      Shaun DA Silva indeed 🤣 I know its called a blow of but there’s something in my plumbing DNA OCD mind that explodes every time I hear those words 😉(did you like what I did there?😎)
      Its a bit like calling a magnetic debris remover a “filter” ITS NOT A FILTER! 🤪
      But then we call boilers boilers and technically they dont boil water🤣🤣

    Hi, could someone tell me where the label showing the serial number for this product is located on the unit itself please. Thank you

    Hi, great video !
    Quick question re fixing unit against the wall. I notice the unit is supplied with two hooks although it has brackets at the top and bottom - (I suppose the latter is for the horizontal installation - otherwise 4 hooks would have been supplied?). In your video you fit a wooden plank which I think supports the bottom bracket, is this necessary because you are fitting in on a plasterboard wall? I will install my unit on a 44mm wooden wall using the hooks supplied and 8mm & bolts, my question is, do I also need to anchor / support the unit from the bottom bracket like in your video or will the top support suffice?
    Thanks in advance!

      @tomkatgastraining  3 роки тому

      I would support it top and bottom because the weight is a lot

    Hi. A quick question I have just got mine now Ariston 80L. I am a little worried did check all in the box and when a take out did have an internal sound like a ball rolling in the tank, I was wondering if that is something normal or should I send the item back? Any help guidance will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Is the expansion vessel mandatory? I've seen that some people install those on their own, but I'm not sure.

    • @tomkatgastraining
      @tomkatgastraining  Рік тому

      In the U.K. expansion vessels are required on unvented cylinders to take up the water expansion because we don’t allow the expansion up the cold water main

    Hello all, I'm having a problem. I have the Aristion EVO 80 EU. And it's not working. All the leads are light up (not blinking) and I can't press anything. It's like it's in a coma. The only way I can cut the power of is with the socket. Anyone knows what this might be? I've tried reseting and etc. Nothing works, the buttons do nothing.

    Should the water tank remain switched on all day? Or should I switch it on and off when I need hot water?

    • @tomkatgastraining
      @tomkatgastraining  2 роки тому

      No need to heat the water when you are not there if you have the WiFi version use the app to set the times or just turn it on about 30 minutes before you need it

      All depends on what you have coming in. This cylinder will only decrease pressure not increase it
