You really helped me understand the hidden mechanics in the game. You also taught me the value the value of a lot of cards I didnt even understand correctly (at first I thought tiresome climb was overpirced and useless, now I am sure -2 Holdover Tiresome Climb might be the best card ingame). Aahhh yes, this is why we all love Monster Train: Either you need to concentrate, plan very carefully and hit the goddamm holdover in the last magic shop or you can declare a double u on ring 1 with a stupid highroll. :)
actual goated seed, was hoping for a transcendimp on a random draft, imagine an egg infested train tho. on another note, the ending bit about new players struggling to play wurmkin, i feel like both wurmkin and melting sways away heavily from ur "traditional" clans where u make big units go brr essentially (horned/brandon for hh, animus/hermits for awoken, sirens/sirens for stygian and we dont talk about umbra units) but with melting and wurmkin, the units that makes u go "oh look at those stat! i bet if u slap a multi +25 on it, itll work just fine like my previous run!" is such a bait since the 4 "normal" clans have so much support for those units in damage department where wurmkin doesnt have that good of a scaling plan (etch loop on first of kin or bog wurm is the only exception i feel), and newer players would struggle so much with wurmkin since theyd think "oh, this card is a consume, its good, but i wanna play it more than 1 time for sure" since theyre not comfortable with etching good cards away (diligent teaches u to "keep shit spells and use them as consume fodders" early on) same applies for melting where the burnout status is such a mental stress that on x turns, ur unit is dead whilst in other clans if ur unit is dead, ur run is over
Yeah, there are a lot more technical plays both available and necessary in the latter two clans. It's part of why they're available later, and also sort of as a reward for mastering the game!
