I got this car model since 2016 and I love it. The driving experience is so comfortable and when driving through the countryside at about 80km/h on 2nd shift, you got the best torque ever. It's a strong and reliable machine and the automatic transmission is nice and smooth. There are problems with it of course but I think it's worth it anyway. Great car
I have a Mazda tribute 04 have had it for awhile now I have kept maintenance on just about everything I guess what I’m asking is how do you keep yours up and going I love mine and it always gets me where I need to go I just feel like there’s always something.
@@jasonwatkins8746 No secret. Basically the car has had a lot of replacements parts exhaust pipe, alternator, fan for AC, new tires (x4), fuel pump replacement… and some other things over the years. Still cheaper than regular car payments every month. So basically the car is part old and part new by this point. And it runs great… no loud idle, no weird sounds when you accelerate, no knocking noises, basically runs quiet for a car this age. So no secret my friend, just the care to put money into it to do the job right.
My neighbor used to have one of these. They are built like tanks and keep going. He would beat the smoke out of it on a daily basis by driving fast and spinning the tires. One time I took it out to the gravel lot behind our houses and was doing donuts and driving fast. It would just keep going no matter what. It didn't give up until about 240k miles when the head gasket blew. Great beater car.
That's an excellent car mine is the 03 model, you can use overdrive on the highway dude it helps you to gain potency I like that function because it feels like turbo.
Mazdas had pretty poor auto transmissions in the early times, since the last decade, they improved. When they merged with Toyota a couple of years ago, quality is and reliability is definitely now where they needed to be.
Eyyyy, (sorry for using Polish forgein language, i thought its gonna be easier 4us)...
I own a 2.3 (05) and I can tell you there's a transmission problem with that. Almost like limp mode in a way. 0-100km (0-62mph) in mine takes 9.7 with 151hp it should've been alot faster.
I just bought one for 700 bucks, was stalling when you stop on traffic and very slow 0-100kph. Cleaned the butterfly valve and did the idle relearn procedure that’s a common issue on Mazda 3’s, and it fixed it.
Well at least it looked better than Ford Escape, thank goodness Mazda freed itself from Ford, that partnership was killing their good name, they are doing so much better under Toyota and Toyota with Mazda's expertise
I bought an MPV I believe '96 that had a very reliable 3.0 V6 but damn was it a boring motor....disappointing and as I recall there was like zero aftermarket support
I own this car,but idk why mine is much more faster, got 0-100 in 8 seconds, and it doesn't shifts like that, maybe your have some problems. But overall cool video!
Multumesc.

I still have my Mazda Tribute ‘03 running and it’s doing great. Regular maintenance and repairs for a car this old, but no car payments!!

Mazda Tribute is my favorite car ❤️
A column shifted mazda. Poland is a wild and lovely place. Have a good day to Joe and our kolega/koleżanka in Poland!

I have a 05 Escape Hybrid here in Indiana. I love it!!! I like the tail lights on the tribute. They remind me of the older 4runner tail lights.

Very rare car on polish roads. Nice to see the test of it. But this car clearly has some faults (gearbox?)

This one reminds me of earlier model Ford Maverick.
they have a partnership that's why
@@Steve1766 Oooh, that explains things! 👍
@@davidbillberg2203 yes
@@davidbillberg2203 another notice : mazda 2 has the same inside door handles with ford focus also the mazda 6 uses the same engine with mondeo
Nice car ❤❤
Good video , thanks a lot
Very good video 😀👍🚗
i just got one of these handed to me as a beater, lets see how it goes...
This car for sure doesn't have 197hp any more ^^ and what's actually going on @09:25? Revs drop as fuck and oil pressure warning comes on??
Same model here. Easy to work on.
What's the fuel consumption on that drive?
Nice

Mazda in name only. This is a Ford Escape especially with the Ford derived V6. Still a great vehicle non the less.
Mam taką w 2.0 benzynie, całkiem spoko autko :))
A Mazda Tribute is a just a Ford Escape/Kuga on steroids
nice OFFROAD
Wow
🙃
I almost never saw this car
Salen buenos esos carros?
Abi senin arabanın markası ne
cool!
9:29 Bruh ... you almost stalled an automatic. Either that car is broken or really badly designed.
13.3. second 0-100 with a 3.0 V6? That's not making 197 hp anymore ... more like 120 now.
It's a torque converter automatic that's more than two decades old - do you have any idea how much power that stupid thing loses :D
@@ThaZapalka
Nice car but not for me...good video Joe!!!
👍👍👍
I got the same car but its abit beat up and getting fixed up
3.0 with only 197PS. Not very much. Nowadays sometimes 1.5 turbo engines has the same power
same engine ford escape mk1

I need to know how tall the driver is lol. I'm short, this context is important
You're good
lights in the day time?
In Poland you are obligated to drive with lights turned on no matter time of the day
Bardzo podobny do Hyundai santa Fe 2004 🧐
