Greetings from Toronto! I've had my Pocket 3 for almost a year and love it! I did over four hours of video in Japan this past September, but I really need to study the various gimbal settings a little more closely. Still (for someone who puts off studying a camera properly) my videos came out not too badly! My lonely, full-frame Sony a7C sits quietly in a drawer brooding, as does the big, bulky Weebil S gimbal, but my forearm is forever grateful, thanks to the Pocket 3! Still (for any future trips) I will bring both my Pocket 3 and Sony RX100 VII; the RX100 VII for zoom range. But (if I choose not to bring the Crane M2 gimbal for the RX100 VII), I'll use it only when standing still, and panning VERY slowly.
Ayyyy! You have the RX100 nice! I’m using the ZV1-ii for my second camera. Yeah it sucks that you need a whole seperate gimbal for cameras like that. I do hope one day the dynamic stabilisation from the ZVE1 comes to the smaller lineups. It’ll really benefit portable usage cases. It’s why I love the pocket 3 so much
@@_Diditee_ Have you been there before? I love it! Fascinating place! The four-part video I made is on my UA-cam channel if you're curious to see it. Not very 'pro', (compared to other people's UA-cam videos of Tokyo, etc.), but I'd like to think that it sort of captures a 'very first time' perspective from someone seeing it for the very first time, whether a little visually awkward or not.
@ I have been there three months ago for a work trip. But I really couldn’t absorb the moments I spent there as i had to be on the ball quite often. So I’m going again in March. And dude! I’ll check your works out now man!
@ I use the conversion lut by DJI to convert from D-Log M to a regular looking image fitst. Then I use my own lut pack to finish up my grade. It’s linked in the description, check it out!
Hey Leona! Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it. I got it for $899 at SLR revolution! However it seems to be currently sold out everywhere. Even at the place I got it at.
my MT44 tripod head damaged because I twisted it too hard , the screw getting loose (because it's plastic) & not usable anymore , so I replace it with falcam 38 quick release set.
@@rtc3000 no idea when the next osmo will drop. But I think personally I feel it’ll be better to get mirrorless cameras for podcasting. You’ll need medium to closeup shots for the talking heads and I think the only thing the osmo will help with is acting as a wide shot camera in the centre
@@luiswy7557yeah I agree. But I can’t think of how zooming will work on this. Because to get a good zoom like the ZV1 for example, you need physically moving lens components. And that’s kinda impossible in a gimbal situation like that
@@lifetimestoriesphotography valid opinions dude! I don’t think anyone getting this camera is getting it specially for photos as well. Having a gimbal moving component for photos kinda seems like a burden instead of a blessing haha
I get it but I am not a fan of all these extra little magnetic filters and lenses. More tiny crap to tote around and easy to lose. I understand the excitement about shooting in d-log and all that but for me, that's extra work in doing colour grading and whatnot. This isn't real film making so uh, no. By the time you upload to UA-cam your work of art...is smashed and crushed into billions of degenerated pixels so why bother? The creator combo and auto settings are more than adequate though, and it is a compelling product for what you get and the price point. Relax. You are not a film maker. You are making home videos people are watching on their 5 year old plus phone---while sitting on the toilet. Accept it. It's ok. Learn to love the process anyway.
One of the best, if not the best, camera for content creators for sure!

Just here to say that YT put this video on my home page 🫡 Keep going!
Dudeee you got no idea how much that means to me. I’m so happy to hear that. Thanks for the support !

I use the MT44 all the time when I'm out shooting with the OP3. Easily my favorite accessory for it
Right?! It’s so much more useful than expected
Great video my friend

Declann you're so good at this!! Loved this review. How much did you pay for the Creator Combo and where did you get it in SG?

Thinking of getting one. I'm setting up a podcast with some friends for studio and outside use. Any idea if there will be a Gen 4 coming soon?

Does the dji osmo pocket able to take photos?
Yes! In fact I took some photos with my girlfriend during our recent holiday trip 😂
Lo malo es el zoom es limitado talvez para la otra generación sería perfecta.
Yes but is 9mp so I find it very low, great for streets photography but not so much portrait 😅 just my opinion

Your 1080 upload looks horrid on a 4K TV, doesn't do justice to the Osmo quality.

It’s not waterproof, so unfortunately it’s a no go for me.
