A lot of people dream of leaving it all behind and escaping to a tropical island, but could you actually do it? When our New Mexico-based family moved onto a boat we got a crash course on surviving and thriving in close quarters. The lessons learned from our year of living on a boat with 2 kids, 2 adults and 1 large dog could help anyone in the pursuit of their own dreams, even if that dream does not involve an ocean.
