Yes, here we meet again! You kept your promise to make an unpacking video and it is so nice to see! Back in the day I bought dozens of lp's and I think this one escaped my attention in that huge stack. That is why it is in such good condition probably. (Apart from the cat sharpening his nails on the stack!) I should have made a practical joke, for instance including 4 pieces of toilet paper in the (original) envelope and write 'for Pete', 'for Roger' etc on it. And then see how you react to that. But that's the story of my life, my brilliant idead come just too late... Anyway, enjoy it! 🎼🎶👍
The original release is great, because the version of “Magic Bus” has the unique edit where Pete includes a section of the song in reverse right before it kicks into gear - and the effect is BEAUTIFUL! Later releases “correct” that. But the original is very cool!
I used to have an original edition of US Decca's The Who Live At Leeds but got rid of it when I purged most of my vinyl. I now have the 2001 MCA Universal 2CD Deluxe Edition with more music and without the pops and crackles. The Canadian and US releases did not have the cellophane sleeve for the facsimiles. One of the best live rock albums ever. Thank you, Martin, for giving your original vinyl copy to Larry.
Nice gift! I got the 1995 CD replica anniversary release of that at a used record store, not too long after its release. Someone had already turned it in. ha! It has the same folder and memorabilia, but with a CD included instead. And that CD included many extra tracks, and without the "crackles".
I'm with you Larry. I wish I'd kept my copy of Live at Leeds as well. Lost it when I purged my vinyl. One of the first three albums I ever bought on my first visit to Sam the Record Man in Toronto.
I just listened to that a couple times recently when my friend lent me it. I wouldn't mind getting a copy on CD myself, hopefully the extended edition with the extra tracks.
When I lived in Los Angeles you would sometimes find used records with Press kits similar to the content within this album. They were always from newer acts or they would never have made it to stock.
That's a great album Larry,we all loved that album when it came out when I was in my early teens and that's a wonderful poster,Pete Townsend in action! Bob

Yep by 1970 the Who didn't have to worry about failing. They had 4 albums under their belt. My Generation, A Quick One, The Who Sell Out and Tommy. That letter to Kitt is a joke lol..

That is why I kept my original cd with the original warts and all mix.
The 1995 extended remix sounds to sterile.
I did not know that 😢😭😭😭🤧

The generosity of your fans speaks volumes about the kindness you give to your audience.
Great album too!
Thank you!

I bought a reissue of this great album a few years ago, it is essential - play loud (but don’t upset the neighbours)
"Some Enchanted Evening" is also a great single live album.
I just listened to that a couple times recently when my friend lent me it.

Very generous donation and I bet the postage from Holland was a bit pricey.

Who( The) can do no wrong( that's who)🦉PS: Swindon is where Spinal Taps David and Nigel hail from.

This year.
@@canadianstudmuffin WOW now that's an announcement! Put a ring on her finger!!!
Some dude took those contract papers into "Pawn Stars" T V show. Rick thought they may be valuable and he called in his expert.
Nice!😊📦
Thanks! 😄
do you like the extra songs on the expanded CD reissue?
Of course!
