I honestly forgot most of what happened in the anime. I stopped watching around the time everyone was sacrificing themselves and Lavi was struggling with fodder enemies or something at the antagonist main base. I think Lavi was about to get a backstory. Don't know if I'll ever finish the anime though.

Was later imprisoned because he was effected by the clown crown sword. Which only affects Akuma and Noah. But Neah and the previous incarnation of Allen, Allen agreed to be possessed by Neah, they were friends. From what I remember at least.

It doesn't start off nearly that crazy. A lot of the reveals you are talking about haven't become a thing until the recent manga chapters. There is a lot of lore, but it is introduced really well, and will get you hooked. Please check out D.Gray-Man. It needs more love, and we need more people to talk to about it with.
