Such a lovely person. I wish her all the success in the world. Its awesome to hear that All Too Well will be released in its original format at 10 minutes. Hopefully more artists will follow her lead and publish their works how they intended them to be, not how music execs wish them to be. I get it they are completely different genres, but Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) is a master 10 minute song writer, go back to 1985's Powerslave (Rime of the Ancient Mariner at 13mins) and every album since is littered with 10 minute plus songs. Getting back to Taylor - I absolutely love her positivity and messaging to young people, especially to girl's empowerment.

It never surprises me that she is such an amazing songwriter in conjunction with being so eloquent in interviews. You are right on the nose with this and I thank you for pointing it out! People just don’t sound like this nowadays when they are interviewed. It’s like she is an old soul, in a lot of ways.

I’ve always been drawn to it since the first time I heard it as well. I think it is just beautiful, what are you interpreted as sad or cathartic or a mixture of 1 million different things, it is something different to everyone which is another component of what makes a great song.

I so appreciate Seth actually letting Taylor talk without interrupting every few seconds to try and be funny
You can even tell at around the 2-minute mark that she almost stopped mid-sentence as she thought Seth was going to interject with something, but he didn't which forced Taylor to continue on her conversation and expand on what her point was. Most talk show hosts try to be funny in between the conversation, but Seth just lets them talk which is cool because that is what people truly want to hear is the guest speak.

Seth does such a great job as an interviewer. Does a great job of complimentarily highlighting the work of guests like Taylor, without coming across like a phony suck-up (unlike some of the other late night hosts)

Another person who's good in interviews is Charles Manson.
Wow, I don't know if it's the pandemic or just the age she's at, but I don't think I'd seen her be this laidback and spontaneous on an interview before. Even in Lover, the way she spoke felt like she wanted to prevent her words from being misunderstood or taken out of context, she seemed more guarded.
Now she talks more casually and it feels more like a conversation between friends than an interview. I don't think she'd've ever said “They acted their asses off” on TV if the Lover Era had gone as planned.
Love that for her. She seems so at peace w everything she's doing. God, I just love her so much
I think Folklore did that to her. She did an album that wasnt meant for comercial success, no thinking about singles or will this sound good on radio/tour, will this be popular etc. And it still was a massive success both comercial and by the critics. I think it made Taylor realize that her fans really will follow her wherever she wants to take us and that is probably a very liberating feeling as an artist

My gosh im just flabbergasted by the fact that she's still amazed by the reaction of the audience. Like come on, your Taylor Alison Swift. I would probably scream the whole time, except when shes talking of course. I didn't ever regret admiring this person even when people were ganging up on her for such petty reasons and funny how those same people would idolize artists that have done worse things in life and treats other people bad unapologetically.
