Oh it's awful. My father's been in it for years, and his advice to new artists is to self publish. Record companies often have a sneaky way of buying your songs, promising a payoff, and then keeping you working for them to pay what you end up owing on your contract.

I’m 51 years old. I took my daughter to the “Red” tour back in 2012 when she was 11 at the time. Easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a LOT of shows. Still a fan and it’s been been great to hear her new versions of these songs.

It cannot be stressed enough how big an influence these re-releases are on the industry and artist's rights on a whole.

One time not long ago, I was feeling low, sitting on a train. To cheer myself up I played out an entire conversation in my head where I explained the background and the whole re-recording story to a friend. It felt just awesome and put a smile on my face :)

This interview is thousand times better to listen than jimmy’s cause taylor gets to talk and it flows quite smoothly. You can feel that she’s relax. She doesn’t get interrupted every 5 seconds.

I'm not in her demographic at all. I don't have any daughters and my nieces aren't really into her, but the whole re-recording of music as being a director's cut of sorts and of course, sticking it to the industry is so goddamn baller. You have to respect it.

I've noticed that people (even if they're big successful stars) who tend to be a bit uncomfortable and shy in interviews seem to really feel safe and flourish being interviewed by Seth. I bet in a few years professors in communications classes will be analyzing his methods.... not realising its mostly kindness, respect and a sharp mind.

nothing new is my favorite vault track from red, I first listened to it being 22 and going through a lot with work and heartbreaks and family issues and the line "how can a person know everything at 18 but nothing at 22" is a universal experience when you are fresh out of college and feel lost in what you should be doing. God I love this woman.

It's amazing how well it continues to build for the entire duration. 10 minutes is a long time to keep the song that good. She's absolutely amazing. She always comes across as a genuinely nice, compassionate person respectful of her fans and grateful for her success. She is one celebrity I really wish well and, although she doesn’t need my insignificant blessings, I hope her life is all she wants it to be.
