I got my FADOLIN from Eric Aceto at Ithaca Stringed Instruments... it is awesome! I have been recording with just the pickup and it sounds so good, I don't even need a mic!
Thanks for the tuning info, that sounds like fun. I have a suggestion for an accessory for your shop. I love my NS4, but because I play without a shoulder rest, I find the fact I must use one + all the weight a big restriction in movement. However, I have a solution. The L-joint that slides into the shoulder rest part can detach. If a part (accessory) was made of just flat material (wood) it would mimic playing the violin without a should rest on the collar bone just perfectly. Since you guys are electric violin specialists, this could be a great accessory to offer as 3rd party. The NS line is popular with discerning ears, but for anyone being forced to play with a shoulder rest when not used to it is bothersome enough that I consider just getting a Yamaha YEV. Shame though, because the NS sound is so good. And no, the NS accessory that goes around your shoulder into the back to play hands-free is even more uncomfortable.
@UC6W4QkBDKjzTrCNG3pJYIKw Wound Violin E Strings are not squeaky cause the Wrap wire gets rid of the squeak. The Soprano Violin High A is shimmery, & it's coated to get rid of the Squeak.

I can't stand the violin snobs who say stuff like 'Why would you ruin a perfectly good instrument like that?' when I just wanted to electrify my violin. Also do you have a link to the duel bow?
There's always going to be someone who wants to ruin a good time. And I think you're asking about the Joule bow. My southern accent can be tricky sometimes. www.electricviolinshop.com/codabow-joule-violin.html

I like how the YES! In the thumbnail reminds me of the band Yes
I just want a one string violin. One A string is good enough for me.
Get me some wire cutters. I'll make you one.

Thanks for the info. Could you please explain how you get a cello on a 6 strings? Can you detune the 6th string down to a C2!?

I think he was attempting levity, but I'm glad you commented - I did not know the soprano high A is coated!
Do you have any other bow recommendations for a 6-string violin besides the CodaBow Joule?
Honestly, I like my Arcus P6 even better.
