You simply cannot beat the English for wonderful Christmas carols. David Willcocks's arrangement of this one is the very best!
i think it's the best choir singing carols I have ever heard! truly havenly!
My favorite arrangement. Rest in peace, Sir David.
Exactly how I feel! Sir David's arrangements made an Anglophile out of me.
This excellent; Music at it's best.

Angelic in performance and hymnody. KINGS ROCKS!

CHRISTMAS WOULDNT BE CHRISTMAS WITHOUT CAROLS FROM KINGS
One of my greatest arrangement by this Great Man Sir. David.

Please take a look at my posting of "See amid the winters snow" by the London Bach Choir, I would like to hear your comments. I hope you have a great Christmas when it arrives in 2 months time.
bless all ye faithful :)
@ 1:50 the harmonies are so surreal... sublime beautiful counter melody....
RIP Sir David Willcocks. At least your sophisticated arrangements will live on, even in this nasty, noisy age of ours
You are so right!
ADVANCE MERRY CHRISTMAS 2012!!!
I'll look like an idiot if I complain---but the acoustics (the thing that makes everything sound so fanatstic) are being discredited--the recording ends as the organist lifts his hands from the keyboard--but the resonanence takes it for or a few glorious seconds afterwards.
The English choral tradition at its very best. Modern writers of drivel take note.
Absolutely!
I wouldn't blame the congregation; the s consonant just naturally stands out more.
Nowell??? Noel!
Nowell is the old English spelling. You don't see it much, it's usually the French 'Noel' we see nowadays.
+Hedgemist Thank You for saying that more kindly than I ever would have to a know it all. R.I.P. Sir David.
Hedgemist Is the old English spelling an angelistic derivative of the French Noel?
