I'm not christian, I'm Hindu, but I adore this woman and much of her advice has helped me over the years! I think she is a loving intelligent person! Much love and many blessings Mother Angelica!
I just love watching this lady. She's so kind and genuine. She's so personable, like she is just somebody you could sit down with and shoot the breeze, and leave the conversation a better person.
This is the first time I have listened to this nun speak and what a pleasant feeling I have in my soul. Her spiritual stories are beautiful too. Padre Pio is one of my FAVOURITE Saints. What a beautiful family we will have in Heaven but we can start to get to know them now.
You can suffer here or suffer there. You can face things here, or face them there. It all comes down to walking towards your destination. Those who avoid the difficulties of overcoming the "world" are putting it off for later. Carry your cross here. It's the preferred method.
Thank you Mother Angelica. I've been feeling distant from God for quite a long time but today I feel a bit closer to him by listening to you. I will try to do his Will in every present moment. At least now I feel encouraged to do so.
I love Mother Angelica! I have been watching her for more than 20 years! I wish she was still producing new shows, but I continue to pray for her and for her restored health.
I absolutely love this little nun. She was very instrumental in my coming into the Church. I'll have to thank her for her faithfulness to Christ when we get to heaven, though I bet the line will be long.
Actually, purgatory is a good thing. If you are in purgatory, you are bound for heaven. Some need very little purification, some need a lot. Make sure you don't need a lot!
You could become one, sadly We Christians are divided into thousands of denominations, I truly feel that one day All Christians will Unite under The Sacred Heart of Jesus and The Immaculate Heart of Mary.
RIP Mother! I can't believe your gone. The world and EWTN won't be the same without you. I am still in shock and grief over your loss. I love you, I miss you, and I will always love you.
To skip purgatory is to be heroic, like if you offer you life to save someone. To be like Jesus. Pray to be heroic, to martyr. Some of our Saints have asked this.
Some people say they can't be good like the great saints and especially not like Our Lady because "they were special" or "they were given special graces." The truth is, like Mother Angelica is saying, they didn't necessarily have more gifts or graces than we do. They just said "yes" to most if not all graces. In the case of Our Lady, she said "Yes" to every single grace (nudge from God) and that's why she is the purest of creatures and the Mother of Our Lord.
Mother Angelica, I don,t know how else to get in touch with you so I am writing on this page. I now live in Norway and am a soul whom is so poor that I accept pulling the end of the line and I do it gladely. Thank you so much for your wisdom and love. My very being and all its fibers are absorbing your words of experience and teaching. Thank you soooo much for sharing your vocation. With the deepest respect. Isabel in Norway.
"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen." St. Gertrude
+Ryan Michael Hi Ryan, I say this prayers several times a day, going about my daily business, please sayit as often as possible, you don't realise the good you are doing and the souls that go to heaven, it will be lovelyto know that you've helped a soul to heaven, God Bless.
veronica wilkes thank you so much for the kind words! I definitely will, and thank you for saying it as well! Hope you have a Blessed and Beautiful week! Much love, and God Bless You!!!!
*Besides our loved ones, a special intention for that soul who is the farthest away from God (in purgatory) and that soul who is the closest (almost released into glory) is nice too, for the closer you get to God the 'more' you love Him, and the more you love Him the more painful it is that you can't be with Him, in this way the closer you get to God the more you suffer, God bless.*
I wouldn't imagine any soul would want to be in Purgatory when they can clearly see, feel and experience the true fiery love of God in Heaven. Purgatory is there to purify us (restore the cracks, clean up the mess etc.) before reaching Jesus in a fully refined, holy and perfect state of being. I hope that helps :)
I would love to avoid Purgatory, but I would take Purgatory in a heartbeat if I could. People treat it as a perpetual prison, but it is not. It is guaranteed Heaven. And I for one thank God for Purgatory. I also thank him for Mother Angelica.
Jesus said if we pray this prayer 1,000 souls from purgatory are released: "Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen."
Great advise from her - do the will of God !! As simple as that. I wud like to further wat she said. Do the will of God with a pure n contrite heart. Dat way you are sincere in wat u r doing. Psalm 51 - verse 6 says "teach me wisdom in my secret heart" and verse 10 says "create in me a clean heart o lord and put a new n right spirit within me" Both the above means you hv to be sincere and your God who is sincere n just will 'reward' you !!
Mary alone did the will of God in the moment. Joan of Ark took 4 years to gain the confidence to act after she was called. the swiftness of the fiat is equivalent to the holiness of the soul.
@flameboy1236 That is not what the Bible says. Faith without works is dead. Good deeds are the hallmark of both Judaism and Christianity. Notice that the rich man goes to hell because he showed no mercy to Lazarus. Good deeds are transformative.
Thank you for your kind comments. Mother Angelica has a wonderful personality, but she is loved most for her perseverance and victory in her Christian walk. She is an inspiration to us all.
You'll find out soon enough. In Genesis, it says that Abram's faith was counted to him as righteousness. Start by having faith, and trust in His mercy. Then be as virtuous a person as you can be, which will both make your experience of purgatory a better one, and will be a better witness to others for Christ.
@Spheate Yes, you must cooperate with grace. The Church makes that very clear. You must change your ways, and not sin anymore. You'll remember Jesus said the same thing. The scripture you quote does not go into the strategy God uses to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It's not a magic act. You must convert, and that is a life-long process aimed at making us like Him.
I know 7 years old ,by my religion catholic jesus is the truth way and life you Need too tell me Sorry Obslutely discribe the bible about mary leave the bible the muslims kouran also discribe about mary. +Neo Alpha Ultra Man Since the early Church, Mary has been considered both the Second Eve, and the Ark of the Covenant. The allusions to the Ark are in the Visitation passage in Luke, where Mary visits Elizabeth and her baby leaps in the womb. This is a conscious allusion to 2 Samuel 6, where the Ark is traveling to Jerusalem, and after Uzzah touched it, was struck dead, and it stayed in the house of Obed-edom for three months. Mary stays with Elizabeth for three months. This was the Gospel telling those who are being evangelized that the Blessed Virgin is both the Ark of the New Covenant, and that like the first one, is holy. Also, the first Eve was created without sin, innocent, and therefore the Second Eve, Mary, was conceived without sin. She was chosen to be the bearer of the Messiah, and like the Second Adam, is without sin. Some of the early heresies in Christianity attacked the divinity of Christ through attacking Mary. You're not in wonderful company when you debase the Blessed Mother. Mary's holiness is from Christ, but that does not mean she is less than what she is and has been since the beginning, when God planned for her to be a part of the redemption of mankind from the foundation of the world.
Purgatory is a cleansing to prepare us for the beatific vision. It is not a punishment from God. The pain of purgatory is not the pain of some punishment but the pain of having the beatific vision delayed.
➡ Purgatory:- Matthew 12:32 Whoever speaks a word against the son of man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will Not be forgiven, either in this world, nor in the "world to come" This implies that some sins are forgiven in the "world to come" (purgatory) 1 Cor 3:12-15
WeAreBorg359 Solascriptura (scripture ALONE) is a false doctrine, invented by LUTHER. It contradicts John 21:25 which tells us that Jesus said & did MANY things that are NOT recorded in writing. And 1 Tim 3:15 says The pillar & foundation of truth is the CHURCH. Protestantism is incorrect & made by men. All Catholic doctrines are true, including purgatory. (I am a former prot)
nuthajason I just showed you that it is NOT scriptural. It contradicts (repeating myself) John 21:25 which says that not everything Jesus said & did is recorded in writing & 1 Tim 3:15 The pillar & foundation of truth is the CHURCH "Solascriptura comes from LUTHER. not Jesus
nuthajason It's not going 2 do U any good 2 keep the argument going, everyone can see what I wrote for themselves and decide......bye now I'm gonna go have some coffee
Today, Christmas Day, is the day when the most souls are released from purgatory. This is a good day to visit a Jubilee of Mercy church and pray the Rosary for the Holy Souls. Be sure to confess and receive the Blessed Sacrament and pray for the intentions of the Holy Father.
+CandaceWhite Your reasoning, in the first place, is fallacious. The BIBLE itself states that the Church is the pillar and foundation of the truth. Nowhere is Sola Scriptura mentioned in the Bible. Obviously, the avalanche of heresies based on Sola Scriptura are too numerous to mention here, but your trolling is a good example of one.
+CandaceWhite Hail Mary is in Luke, where she is referred to as "full of grace." If you can't derive prayers from the Bible, then you're being quite inconsistent. I'm trying to point out the inconsistencies of Sola Scriptura-based interpretations of the Bible. Sola Scriptura isn't in the Bible. Sola Scriptura is a heresy. The Bible clearly states that the CHURCH is the pillar and foundation of the truth. There must be a final authority for Biblical interpretation, and it CAN'T be the Bible, for that makes it contradict itself. Read the early Fathers of the Church, in the first three centuries. They are speaking of practices I see every day in Mass. I recognize the Catholic Church in these writings, which tells me that I am in the right place. You can't say that. You can't read the writings of the disciples of St. John and find Calvinism, or Lutheranism, or the Baptists. It isn't there. It is ludicrous to think that it was not until 1517 that God was able to get someone to interpret Scripture and set things right. It makes Jesus promise that the gates of hell would not stand against His Church void. It would mean Jesus was wrong and didn't know the future of His Church. It would mean He was just a man. You can't have it any other way. Either Jesus was correct, or He was not.
I think you don't understand. The Bible is quoted extensively by the Church Fathers, and their writings show that the character of the early Church is the same as what we see in the current Catholic Church. The followers of the Apostles believed what Catholics believe now.
The Judaizer sect was taken care of in the Council of Jerusalem, in Acts. Jesus is now the embodiment of the Law, and everything goes through Him from that point on. He gave His authority to the Apostles, and they gave theirs to their successors. When you have a problem with "religion", you're actually saying you want to make up one that suits your desires. It doesn't work that way.
@Free777Thinker --The best thing you can do is go to Confession. It may be hard, but once the burdened is lifted, it will be joyful. Next begin going back to Mass. Being able to receive Our Lord in the Eucharist is a privilege and a blessing, and He will shower you with His Grace. Spending time before the Lord in the Eucharist is another great way to grow in Grace. Receiving the Sacraments will lead you back. I will be praying for you and your gf.
I think what this lady on the phone wanted to know, was the best way to be pure, but I think here on Earth the trials and our everyday crosses are the answer, when you have to love people or tolerate them, that is your cross, when as well you do so much good but you're invisible, that not even your kids see this.forgiveness when people do you wrong, and don't care about gossip or small stupid talk. You will find yourself in a struggle because you don't care about stupid things yet you're there comforting, and then you want to be away from everybody, not because you don't love people not because you're not compassionate, you are, but you just want to be in the middle of nature.
@themanhootch I do believe that we are suppose to take up our cross and follow Him and only Him. Why do we have to be purified in the afterlife when we're already purified when we became born again christians? It's like saying that Christ didn't finish His work when He was in this world. "After He had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in Heaven." Hebrews 1:3 "For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy" Hebrews 10:14
Isaiah, 6:6,7 proof of purging with hot coals. Isaiah 6: 6And one of the seraphims flew to me, and in his hand was a live coal, which he had taken with the tongs off the altar. 7And he touched my mouth, and said: Behold this hath touched thy lips, and thy iniquities shall be taken away, and thy sin shall be cleansed. Isaiah needed His tongue PURGED by a live HOT COAL and it took His SINS / INIQUITIES AWAY that he committed. If this is not purgatory what is? We all will have our tongues / bodies touched by Hot Coals, aka Purgatory, to say there is no purging and that YOU will not be purged, is to say you are better than Isaiah, himself, I don't think we are! So Protestants be prepared for a PURGING / PURGATORY! Amen
I do think that we can avoid purgatory is by to offer to God our suffering instead of be renegade. And thanks God for the good and bad things that happened to us. The good things because make us very happy and the bad things because we learn by experience.
Purgatory is the cleansing before Heaven. Anyone in Purgatory already is moving towards God, being cleansed by fire. Most assuredly, it is not pleasant to be confronted with our sins by their very nature, which is our struggle against God. But, we suffer far more on Earth than those in Purgatory because we often move away from God and that is tragic. How happy are those who are being purged of their sins and moving towards the Beatific Vision in Heaven?
Purgatory Prayer To the soul in Purgatory who has waited the longest, I bring you great news -- You are not forgotten. Be at peace. Alleluia, Alleluia. Through the intercession of Mary, the Virgin Mother of God and St. Anthony of Padua, Patron of the Lost, may the light of God's love and mercy through the work of the work of the Holy Spirit draw you from the darkest corner of Purgatory in purity and unity with the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Both Aristotle and St. Thomas Aquinas said that if we know our destination, and can see the path that leads to it, would we not go about the business of walking towards it, or aiming our arrow at the target? Whatever keeps you from walking the path, shed yourself of it. The Church has thought this out thoroughly. Find a good priest and just talk to him about it. Don't worry about confession just yet. Get the ball rolling, so it rolls in the right direction. I'll pray for you and yours.
@X1danno1 I understand your point. The separated brethren belief in salvation is one of Christ's sacrifice covering our sins. It has been termed by some as snow covering a mound of dung. The orthodox belief in salvation is one of transformation of that mound of dung into a reflection of Christ. Purgatory is alluded to by Jesus by saying that if you don't forgive as He forgave you, you'll be handed over to the torturers until the last farthing is paid. Sounds conditional to me: purged of it.
Like most Protestants, you have a problem with the Word of God. JESUS is the Word. The Bible is the inspired word of God, but Jesus is more than the Bible. The Church was commissioned by The Word, not the Bible. Jesus gave authority to the Church to interpret the Bible. Those who think they have authority to do so, but have not been given authority by Jesus, fall into error of some sort nearly all the time. That's why there are 20,000+ Protestant sects out there, and only one Church.
@flameboy1236 I believe you are confusing justification and sanctification. Salvation is and has always been two-fold. We are justified by faith, and sanctified by works. Show me your faith without works. If Jesus magically made us perfect as you describe it, why the parables, the teaching? Get to Jerusalem, get up on the cross and stop wasting time. No, He exhorted us to "be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect." I know it only happens through acts of the will fueled by grace.
@1Peter312 The Bible is not the final arbiter of truth. The Church is, however, the quote is from popular devotion. Many Catholics have had contact with Jesus directly since biblical times. The quote is not dogmatic, but does not go against any orthodox teaching. We pray for all our brothers and sisters, no matter where they are. You don't have to buy into it, as it isn't required for salvation, but don't fault Catholics if we pray.
@themanhootch Jesus already perfected us up in the cross so there is no need for purgatory. Everything is fully paid, you just have to believe in Him and have a relationship.
+CandaceWhite Matthew 12:31 “Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32“Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. Matthew 5: 25“Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, so that your opponent may not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 26“Truly I say to you, you will not come out of there until you have paid up the last cent. 1 Corinthians 3:; 11For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. 14If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. 15If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
Please point out to me an authoritative Church document that says purgatory is not based on the Bible. That would be a Council document or the Catechism of the Catholic Church. To educate yourself, please refer to Paragraph 1031 in the Catechism, 1472, 1475 and 1498. The Church's teaching is clearly based on Christ and His preaching.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia is NOT an authoritative source. Only the magisterium is. The NCE is produced by the Catholic University of America. In other words, it is an academic document. The U. S. Catholic is a magazine. The Church teaches from both sacred tradition and Scripture, and neither source is in conflict. What the problem here is, Protestants have resorted to the same strategy as the materialists. They want concrete evidence from the Bible, but that is their fatal flaw. Without authority to resort to, anyone is an authority. If the Bible alone could reveal truth, there would not be 40 THOUSAND different Protestant denominations. Obviously, Sola Scriptura is a flawed and divisive heresy. You set up a scenario that is not supported by either the Bible or the praxis of Christianity. I have provided the scriptural foundation for purgatory, but you refer to an outside source that is cherry picked. If you searched for it, you'd also find authoritative writings. The Catechism of the Catholic Church is such a one: 1030, 1031, and 1032 are authoritative documents of the Church that firmly states that "the tradition of the Church, by reference to certain texts of Scripture, speaks of a cleansing fire". Note the mixture of tradition and scripture. Not scripture alone, but tradition, which is the successors of the Apostles speaking to us via the Holy Spirit's movement, as is promised in scripture. Only the Apostles and their successors are promised this, not individuals. That is why their is one Catholic Church, and 40K sects that differ with each other. I challenge you to read the early Church Fathers to see what was really happening in the development of Christianity. You will find the Catholic Church in its early stages of development under enormous persecution.
+David Greg Taylor Yes you are right the Church and mans way Teaching rule by fear of man not God. .....NOT Jesus words which ARE true. I have studied many Popes ideas and thought up ways to terrify man into bowing to him....And Revelation points out very clearly to those who understand Gods word not mans.....I pray to Jesus my Saviour not Mary...Jesus is the only way his words are true....If I was wrong I would tremble in fear of man...I know Jesus cannot lie...
Buldog Aero Read the early Church Fathers, the followers of the Apostles. They do not practice what you do. They are nascent Catholics. Your thesis only holds true if Jesus did not know what was to happen to the Church, or its development. IOW, your approach only holds water if Jesus was just a man. You can't reject 1500+ years of Christian practice without making Jesus a mere fallible man. Your practice creates 40K+ different interpretations of the Bible and Christian practice. Jesus said He desired us to by one, not forty thousand.
FOR INSPIRATION “When grace is working in the soul of someone who is praying, then he is flooded with the love of God,so that he can no longer bear what he experiences. Then, this love turns towards the humankind, whom he comes to love so much that he seeks to take upon himself the whole of human pain so that everyone else might be freed from it.In general he suffers with every grief and misery. This is why those who are advanced in prayer do not cease to pray for the world. St.Joseph the Hesychast
@tubeazure You won't find the Holy Trinity in the Bible either, but I would hope you believe in the Holy Trinity. Jesus spoke about what is purgatory when he warned us that if we did not forgive as he forgives, we would be imprisoned until the last farthing is paid. One does not get released from hell. Ergo, he was speaking about something one could be released from, and one is released into freedom. This is what purgatory is.
@flameboy1236 No one is denying the cross and the salvation that comes from it. Our difference is the aftermath and development of the spiritual life after one believes. You think there is nothing to do, but Jesus said we were to take up our cross and follow him. There is something to do. Catholics do not twist scripture. The Church's interpretation is correct. You can only be correct when you agree with the Church.
@flameboy1236 "...being made holy." There you have it. "Being made" is not an instantaneous act. We must try to look at this within the light of experience, which confirms the Church's teaching. I am a holier person than I was ten years ago. I have much to do in my cooperation with grace, and I was saved ten years ago, but I am closer to being like Christ now than then. If I am not a perfect replica of Jesus when I die, through _grace_ I will be perfected in purgatory.
For all those Catholics reading this wondering how to have a guarantee to go straight to heaven and avoid purgatory all together. If you pray and meditate on the Seven Sorrows of Mary every day, one of the attached promises is to be taken straight to heaven by Our Lady from this world after death, avoiding purgation all together. Research the prayer for yourself and see the promises Our Lady gives to those who are devoted to her Sorrows. And wear the Seven Sorrows scapular for more indulgences attached to this devotion.
@NewAmericanBible454 there was a book called "Purgatory" which compiled several accounts of people who had either witnessed purgatory from earth by divine revelation or people who had people from purgatory visit them.
@vinyl45s4ever; For any human being to feel so unimportant as to think that in all this vast Universe, there isn't a creator who looks at YOOOUUU is DESPAIR. It's not arrogance but hope. If we are living in a world of your "What Ifs"...I would rather be wrong about HIM being there than not.
I am amazed how time doesn't exist to God... How many those videos are made and our questioning doesn't age through time or how our questioning are answered in an appropriate time or our spiritual level dispite of our human wickness,. I was asking mtself those questions lately. I never thought to ask Him about it. As He heard me our new what I was wandering... as if He was all along with my spiritual journey...(as if I had to wonder or to doubt about it). It is as I had a conversation with Him and I would be surprised to have shared thoughts with Him... Telepathy?! Of course, why should I expect anything else?! God is "présence with us", Time is relative through Him. He never leaves us. We think He is one day not there and other day He listen us for a couples of thoughts and He would leaves for couple of other days... But no, He always there seeing and hearing us each instant of our life. It's just happen that we are too busy or not listening at the same time, It's just that we feel blessed when, without expectations, we think having connections with Him even for an instant. Now this video is been made decades ago, when wisdom is been well said, time doesn't exist. Through this wonderful sister, the perfect answers at the right time as if it was so well orchestred through timing, Did I recieved any little miracle today from Him? Of course!! The first is to baptised, 2d to always being 'hungry of Him', in spite of errors of me. For catholics out there, you know when you go to the sacrement of communion having the holy bread, just before we say, "God, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say one word and I shall be healed" Well, God is always there. I guess, it is human inability to listen always. We are just blessed when we "have a good timing listening" God bless, Mother Angelica... I guess good works won't never age. God bless you all!!
CandaceWhite Your questions is really good though. And, I try really hard to not be to “philosophic”... But, if you were asking this way: “Are there any questions you want answered that GOD hasn’t answered for you?” Many questions. It just that, as anyone, we have to take time, “to rest on it”. But, you have a good question. I wander if you have yourself any though that the Church didn’t want to answer for you? For me, the Church is a tool for everyone. You remember during Hitler WWII, when they were burning books?! Did it stop people having questions and wonders? But, in time of war and crises, they were more involve in ‘how to survive’. Then came time of peace and questions as “Why?” You need peace first, you pray for peace first. You have to feel the need of peace, you have to appreciate Peace in you, in order to live your questions and appreciate answers. Sometime you are too busy to “live your inner peace”. You cannot keep the answer very long that you already have to rush for “busy things to do”. I guess, this is why, it is an art to pray (mostly today), ‘to receive peace’, to live answers to any questions. Finally, when you are in Peace, all questions are answered... And, peace is through “the will of God” as said it well here in a beautiful version of answers of Mother Angelica. But, if I have answers from the church that include good people who thoughts about it before me, why would have I to escape it?! Then, why would Church that include people in it would it be wrong if and when you are looking somewhere else?! At the worst, it is as “You believe in God, but you don’t believe that the devil exist”... which is also heresy. “You believe in heaven, but you don’t believe in Hell”... also heresy. You believe that you will be in paradise even if you don’t want to do your part of “Will of God”.... There are conversions, and there are also better or re-conversions. When can we pretend that we all have answers to all questions? Most of the time, we have parts of it and for the rest of the time it would be Trust, Faith, prayers, and to do “the Will of God”... In resume. YES, the Church has many answers to give. I just hope to have all my ears and heart (dispositions) TO BE there when HE passes through. But, I, I don’t pretend to answer to all questions. If I can help, it would be great. Take care
+Marcello1b Great post, Marcello. Be the seed that produces a hundredfold harvest. Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you. Mother has read and absorbed St. Alphonsus Ligouri's Uniformity with God's Will. Everyone should read it, and THE PRACTICE OFTHE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST. Don't you just love the saints?
I have screwed up some where along the line and not bright enough to know where! I'm probably going to hell. I pray for forgiveness and still take communion.
@Spheate I think you are failing to take into account the great mercy of God. He will decide what is sin and there is only one unforgivable one. The Church's teaching on this is very clear. There is a purgatory. All other voices in the debate do not have the authority to teach. Only the Church was given that.
Also the Catholic church is one the who assembled the books into a bible by divine inspiration and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It shouldn't be that unreasonable to think that the Church started by Christ, God, would have the authority to do so.
She's wonderful. Many people will be in heaven because of her saying yes to God's will for a Catholic cable network.
I'm not christian, I'm Hindu, but I adore this woman and much of her advice has helped me over the years! I think she is a loving intelligent person! Much love and many blessings Mother Angelica!
Amen to that!
I pray for your conversion ❤
🇮🇳💘🇻🇦 👍🏼We love you brother.
Be abundantly 🙌🏿❇🙌🏿 blessed.
Purgatory is a testimony to God's generosity and Love- that, even at the time of my death-if I am not ready-He still waits for me. God is Love.
@rickw1100 Mother Angelica is a big reason that I am a Confirmed Catholic today.
I strongly believe Mother Angelica is now a saint. God bless your soul Mother, please pray for us!
She just makes you feel so good when you listen to her. Reminds me of my late grandmother :)
Do the will of God in the present moment and trust in His mercy.
I love Mother Angelica. God bless her
RIP Mother! I can't believe your gone. The world and EWTN won't be the same without you. I am still in shock and grief over your loss. I love you, I miss you, and I will always love you.
I just smiled instantly when I saw her and I'm not kidding
I miss you Mother!!! Thank you for living your life for Jesus!!!!!
Thank-you Mother for this knowledge. I know you are in heaven now.
God bless you all♥️✝️ and this woman☺️🙏📿
Thanks mother angelica. All glory to God.
"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen."
St. Gertrude
Ryan Michael *I can think of one way, just be an anti Catholic, of course, you might avoid Heaven as well lol.*
Lol true Ron Hahn
God bless you Mother ❤️🙏🏻
I just love Mother Angelica! I have learned so much from her. I pray that she'll live for a
long time yet.
I really love being a CATHOLIC. So much wisdom in the people God sends us...to inspire us.
I'm actually a fundamentalist, but I enjoy listening to Mother Angelica.
I would love to avoid Purgatory, but I would take Purgatory in a heartbeat if I could. People treat it as a perpetual prison, but it is not. It is guaranteed Heaven. And I for one thank God for Purgatory. I also thank him for Mother Angelica.
God bless Mother Angelica!
Amen."
She is amazing and im reading one of her books!! its SO good! it makes you really think about the Bible!!
thanks for this video, i love JESUS, GOD BLESS TO EVERYONE
God bless her!
Thank You Mother...we love you...
Greetings from Hong kong..
praise the lord for his beautiful work mother Angelica. Such a beautiful person.
Well said:!
God allows us to see how great some are, how we have so much.
Know our blessings.
Wow!! Very beautiful and encouraging. Thank you Mother Angelica for lifting up my soul. God bless you and please pray for us, Amen!
This was aired in August 1 2000 3 days before I was born
Purgatory ..is the great Mercy of God because we always fall short for our sinful nature, "original sin"
Great advise from her - do the will of God !! As simple as that.
I wud like to further wat she said. Do the will of God with a pure n contrite heart. Dat way you are sincere in wat u r doing.
Psalm 51 - verse 6 says "teach me wisdom in my secret heart" and verse 10 says "create in me a clean heart o lord and put a new n right spirit within me"
Both the above means you hv to be sincere and your God who is sincere n just will 'reward' you !!
She reminds me of my late devout Roman Catholic grandmother.
Me, I look forward to spending time in Purgatory.
Mary alone did the will of God in the moment. Joan of Ark took 4 years to gain the confidence to act after she was called. the swiftness of the fiat is equivalent to the holiness of the soul.
God bless you mother!
So beautiful
A very wise lady.
I will miss you Mother
Purgatory is like when you have a foreign object (a splinter, a piece of wood, whatever) removed from a part of the body. You are being purged.
Praise God AMEN
You'll find out soon enough. In Genesis, it says that Abram's faith was counted to him as righteousness. Start by having faith, and trust in His mercy. Then be as virtuous a person as you can be, which will both make your experience of purgatory a better one, and will be a better witness to others for Christ.
I love you Mother, and I miss you
@Spheate Yes, you must cooperate with grace.
I love Mother Angelica!
Pray the rosary...MamaMary will help you to get out of Purgatory...Read the 12 Benefits of HolyRosary...
I feel sorry for the Protestants.
There is a Purgatory, and it is comforting to know it.
Thank you Mother

David Greg Taylor true
Happy Birthday Mother Angelica! :D
Purgatory is a cleansing to prepare us for the beatific vision. It is not a punishment from God. The pain of purgatory is not the pain of some punishment but the pain of having the beatific vision delayed.
➡ Purgatory:-
Matthew 12:32 Whoever speaks a word against the son of man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will Not be forgiven, either in this world, nor in the "world to come" This implies that some sins are forgiven in the "world to come" (purgatory)
1 Cor 3:12-15
WeAreBorg359 Solascriptura (scripture ALONE) is a false doctrine, invented by LUTHER. It contradicts John 21:25 which tells us that Jesus said & did MANY things that are NOT recorded in writing. And 1 Tim 3:15 says The pillar & foundation of truth is the CHURCH. Protestantism is incorrect & made by men. All Catholic doctrines are true, including purgatory. (I am a former prot)
nuthajason I just showed you that it is NOT scriptural. It contradicts (repeating myself) John 21:25 which says that not everything Jesus said & did is recorded in writing & 1 Tim 3:15 The pillar & foundation of truth is the CHURCH "Solascriptura comes from LUTHER. not Jesus
nuthajason It's not going 2 do U any good 2 keep the argument going, everyone can see what I wrote for themselves and decide......bye now I'm gonna go have some coffee
nuthajason The deceptive doctrines are protestant, it is completely man made
Thank you for the video. God Bless.
Thank you! This is really eye opening.
@GoldwingQueen God bless you! I will be praying for you.
"After He had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in Heaven." Hebrews 1:3
"For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy" Hebrews 10:14
To confess , to take Communion , To try to do the 10 comandements to always give . Amen,
Isaiah, 6:6,7 proof of purging with hot coals.
Praise>Bless>Gratitude :)
Thank you!
Simple but not easy...but it's worth the trial and error
Purgatory is the cleansing before Heaven. Anyone in Purgatory already is moving towards God, being cleansed by fire. Most assuredly, it is not pleasant to be confronted with our sins by their very nature, which is our struggle against God. But, we suffer far more on Earth than those in Purgatory because we often move away from God and that is tragic. How happy are those who are being purged of their sins and moving towards the Beatific Vision in Heaven?
Purgatory Prayer
To the soul in Purgatory who has waited the longest, I bring you great news -- You are not forgotten.
Really good video...!
She is so nice, god bless you mother angelica :)
@themanhootch You speak with great wisdom.
Most people who are heading to heaven are going through purgatory because most people carried earthly attachments
FOR INSPIRATION
“When grace is working in the soul of someone who is praying, then he is flooded with the love of God,so that he can no longer bear what he experiences.
If we are living in a world of your "What Ifs"...I would rather be wrong about HIM being there than not.
no, purgatory is a place of purification before you enter the kingdom of god(heaven)
Through this wonderful sister, the perfect answers at the right time as if it was so well orchestred through timing,
Did I recieved any little miracle today from Him? Of course!! The first is to baptised, 2d to always being 'hungry of Him', in spite of errors of me.
For catholics out there, you know when you go to the sacrement of communion having the holy bread, just before we say, "God, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say one word and I shall be healed"
Well, God is always there. I guess, it is human inability to listen always. We are just blessed when we "have a good timing listening"
God bless, Mother Angelica... I guess good works won't never age.
God bless you all!!
CandaceWhite
Your questions is really good though. And, I try really hard to not be to “philosophic”... But, if you were asking this way: “Are there any questions you want answered that GOD hasn’t answered for you?”
Many questions.
