Wait for these videos!!!❤️ I suffer from loads of anxiety and panic attacks in the am. But to manage the occasional anxiety BEFORE bed, I do the following: 1. have a routine before bed (i like to read) 2.adjust lighting in the room (softer lighting) 3.use a weighted blanket 4.keep room cool 5.wear little to no clothing to stay cool 6.get a foot rub from my husband 😊 most importantly, take 2 magnesium citrate gummies!
Great infornative vlog as usual.....sleep has really been a serious issue for me ....nothing seems to help ...I have tried everything..but i find lately if i put on some relaxing music off utube it helps me to drift off briefly i set the tv to lock off by itself for a half to an hour and that really helps ....sleep is getting better but i still get up around 3 am don't know why....i also stop exercising in the morning and switch to the afternoon from five to six and my sleep has improved greatly so i think late afternoon exercise is the key to help in the menopause with sleep.
@fingerprint5511 actually it is true if you eat sugar before bed, sugar levels spike & drop whilst you're asleep. A drop in blood sugars alert the adrenals which then increases cortisol levels & makes the body wake up
I have excessive amounts of anxiety….for sleep I have found success with a cup of hot pasiflora tea and magnesium (citrate) before bed. When I do, within about 30 mins I am sleepy and STAY asleep. I have restless nights when I forget my magnesium.
A lovely cup of tea, journal and some light stretches really help me. Along with not being on screens 2 hrs before bed. I have a question but am unable to submit it on the website. Is there somewhere to ask an unusual question? Also Seabuckthorn seed oil or Seabuckthorn berry oil? I'm not sure which one you refer to for dryness. Thanks so much. Ps You look lovely!
That's a great regime! Yes, you're welcome to email me personally eileen.durward@avogel.co.uk, this is confidential and we don't publish anything from there. It's the oil from the whole berry including the seeds. Best Wishes Eileen

i can't sleep without antidepressants. i had menopausal anxiety. chronic insomia with hyper acidity. i wake at 12 or 2 am. can you help. I had also sleeping pills to take but still always wake up early.
Hi Unfortunatley, we can't recommend any herbal remedies for sleeping if you are already on sleeping pills but you could try the Flower Essences; they can be taken with other medication. Acupuncture may also be of benefit so worth looking into. www.avogel.co.uk/jan-de-vries/bach-flower-remedies/night-essence/ Best Wishes Eileen
I had to go on low dose beta blocker for anxiety I had no other choice. But I hate medication doesn’t agree with me. So many side affects then dealing with all symptoms 😢
Hi Eileen, I am suffering bad hot flushes and night sweats. Am taking sage just few weeks now. Can these flushes also trigger bad vertigo symptoms, dizziness, headaches and I also have sore neck.. Are these all related? Thank you as always for your advice.
@@AvogelCoUk i get these symptoms throughout d day, on and off, alot in bed, a bad vertigo happened durin night when got up to use bathroom even thó I take my time and settle at edge of bed before rising.. I've taken ur advise on all these matters, have water by d bed, deep breathing, this does help whilst goin thru an actual flush. I will monitor these symptoms see if I see a pattern around flushes thank u again Eileen, I really rely on ur advice and help. Kind regards Sinéad
@@sc6878 maybe a good idea to get your blood pressure checked, both high or low blood pressure can cause similar symptoms. Could also be due to stress so a magnesium supplement can often be helpful, approx 150mg twice a day. Best Wishes Eileen
Thank u Eileen for ur reply. Yes I keep check on my BP, have a monitor, as I suffer with low BP due to heridtiry heart condition, it does b low alot, and then sometimes high which high BP is unusual for me but checked all with cardiologist, he maintains due to my fluctuating hormones! I take magnesium nightly. Kind regards Sinéad
@@sc6878 good to hear that you're getting this monitored. Just check that you are drinking at least 1/5 litres of plain water as dehydration could trigger these symptoms too!

I have a lot of issues post menopause I’m worse than I was during the menopause time I do use essential oils to help
Hormones should level out at some point so symptoms well past when periods stop are unlikely to be hormonal.
