I understand this nervousness about cutting your plant, I felt that way when I cut my first harder to find plant, which was a philodendron joepii, one thing I would like to suggest though if I may, is to put cinnamon powder or charcoal powder on the open cut to minimize fungal infection and help callous it over, wonderful video, happy planting. 😊😊
Ohh thank you for the tipp Rey. I actually tried that a while back with cinnamon but I somehow always forget to do it 😅. Fortunately the Queens didn't get any fungal infection on the cut sites. 🤞😇 I should try to implement that back into my routine propagation method again. Glad you enjoyed the video 💚 See you & greetings from germany.
@@LeafyLuster your much welcome, and im so glad that your queens are doing well, long live the queens !! here, here. lol, hello Germany. been to Frankfurt, nice, & hello from Trinidad & Tobago. 😃😃
It really is such a cool plant. The long leaves are something else 🙌. So far (5 days later) the top cutting looks the same. No yellowing or dehydration noticeable 🤞😁 let's hope it stays that way.
@@LeafyLuster I am really happy to hear that! She is doing well. She has just put out another leaf but it got stuck on the edge of the pot on the way out. So it has some damage :( otherwise it is doing great. Keep up the great work! Loving the videos
Oh dear! I salute your courage to cut this beauty in pieces!!! I’m heading straight to the sequel hoping you ended up with four plants! Quick question: how long have you had her for? And how long for did you have to keep her airlayered for the roots to develop this much? XO from Greece ❤️
I really had to gas myself up to do it 😂😂 I think i got her September 2020 and I airlayered her for ca.6 months or something. I wasn't doing a good job at keeping the moss moist, so i think at one point the roots dried out and she had to push out new ones. 😅 Love from Germany 💚
i just found your channel and I love it so much!! you are so encouraging to me as a beginner plant person and make me feel slightly less scared about cutting up my own plants :D although just yesterday I tried to propagate one of my dying anthuriums and I wish i watched this before I cut it :( going to go on a binge of your videos now hehe
Oh hi, so glad you are here ♥ ! It makes me very happy to hear you enjoy my video & that my tips are actually useful. If you have any other questions regarding propagations, feel free to ask me. I've made a lot of experiences in the past 4 years & maybe i can help you. ( if you have an Instagram account you can also dm me there)
I just found you and I'm instantly inlove! 😍💚 You did an amazing job! I've chopped my forgetii 2 months ago and since the props did so well I've felt confident enough to chop my regale and my crystallinums too. It was scary, not gonna lie 😅 but the mother plants are fine and if I can forget about them and not poke them 37 times a day, I'm sure they'll make it just like your Warocqueanum will! 🍀
Welcome Ioana!! Thank you for the encouraging words...but you are right, it is sooooo scary. I have some news on the Queen and the stumps already 👀. I've caught the Anthurium propagation fever too and instantly chopped my Pallidiflorum as well :D
Ahh you’re so cute! How long did it take for the Queen to start throwing roots into the spaghnum wrapped around it? I’m about ready to pot up my juvenile Queen and I’m trying to figure out how to set it up for success.
Aww thanks ♥. The first roots started growing pretty quickly. I'm not sure anymore but i'd guess in a month you already have some pretty good roots going in the moss. Especially if you manage to keep it moist. Mine dried up in between and i basically had to restart them again. 😬 The plant made little aerial roots anyways so they were super happy to grab on to the moist moss.
:) danke!
Hello great videos, it would be nice to see an update on these cuttings? Also what type of potting medium do you use fir you’re anthuriums? Maybe you can do a video on that too?
Thank you 💚 I already made a follow up video: ua-cam.com/video/dbycaymjdqY/v-deo.html At 10:41 in this video i got a brief summary of what i use to mix my soil. I use the same soil for everything. A Soil mix video would still be great idea to do, with the exact ratios and stuff. 😊
I need some advice. My anthurium lost all its leaves...not sure why...the roots still seem intact though. Will the roots put out new branches and leaves now or should I just throw it?
I'm sorry to hear that, Anthurium can be very sensitive to stress, was it shipped recently or did it get shocked somehow? Maybe a repot, change of growing conditions etc. If the stem and roots are still intact and firm (no root rot) I would not worry. The plant can still grow new leaves, you just have to be a little patient. If the roots should rot at any point, you can remove the rot and regrow the plant from just the piece of stem, so please do not throw it away. Wishing you best of luck with your plant Remya. 🤞🤞
Is there any chance that you're from Germany? 😁 I think I saw you on ebay kleinanzeigen a day ago and then I saw your video here today 😂 Well thanks for the video, very helpful! 👍

Also cuts in the pot is probably a big factor in your plants health, they like a lot of airflow! Orchid net pots are the best for aroids.
