I met a lioness once. Her name was Winnie Mandela and she was in London in 1990 campaigning for the release of the lion. She came to our school and hugged and embraced us all. She gave a speech about education, freedom and equality. It resonates with me to this day.
The rythm and divine nature of the soweto choir has awaken a sense of enthusias in me.Thank you Soweto!you guys are truly makin use f God's given voices to glorifyHim!
i went to south africa last year and witnessed this in person it is truly amazing what they do and listning to stuff like this just makes me happy. they are all amzing people and they have actually changed me in the best way possible, i truley reccommend you to go to south africa.
voices of mother akubalan ( africia) brings the heart to tears of joy, and the spirit to praise the most high. This energy cannot be recreated in a studio, only can be produced from the souls of the children of the land. please keep blessing the world with you all wonderful gifts.
i have always been fascinated by the south african harmony ,as a ghanaian iv got to say they've got it down to a tee, absolutely perfectt, to be able to make a whole group harmonise and make it sound soo good is mind blowing to me
I have heard them Live and I and everyone else could not get enough of them. Its sooo moving you will never want to leave. It that good. Their music on cd gives them no justice at all. I hope one day you will see them.

Awwwwww!!! This song is sooooo... I can't find my words since I think there's no word strong enough to describe such feelings! They sing it so well, with their hearts, and inner souls... I've got to share a tear! They really know how to show us what humanity, tolerance, sharing and love means! Thanks
I have probably heard this song performed about, maybe 500 times, in audio and live. But for some reason, this version makes me feel, and consequently shed tears. I mean you can almost see the background of the Jungle in your mind and feel the fear of the people as they wait for the "Beast". Just beautiful. Joseph F Portland, OR USA
I wish I could watch them perform this again! As fantastic as it is to listen to, it's perhaps 100 times better when they dance, too! Incredibly gifted and well-rehearsed group!
Simply, Inspirational. Share the Love in your heart, with others. The history of this song expains alot about the struggles of apartied, in Africa. Goggle, Solomon Linda, for more info about the origins of this song. Just got to love this choir! Rock on!
@tinaaimeo I agree with you about the emotions that these singers evoke. (I am white, English and live in cold English weather.) I too had tears in my eyes. Such power and good feelings emerge from their performance. The world is a better place when they sing. I wish you peace, blessings and well-being all your life.
I'm pretty sure it will be very hard to stay still on your seat when you go and watch them. The rhythm is great. These guys know how to put "life" in their music. Keep up the good work guys! :)
I had always heard this by the Tokens, but this is by far much better. The brothers and sisters are taking me to a home I have never known and a time before I existed. OUTSTANDING
