- World Record attempt to beat the 2008 most Daleks in a single room record. There were 73 full size props and 14 people in costume. Event organised by the now disbanded Sons of Skaro in Chippenham, Wiltshire UK. 10th March 2019.

What if you guys put together a stage show based solely on the daleks preforming mundane tasks, sorta like what's been done with the storm troopers? I bet loads of people would come to see a stage show like that, just daleks working office jobs and the like XD

I love daleks that have a personality, it's so unexpected but it's so hilarious! The daleks that were having a conversation about coffee really made my day! RE-CAFFINATE
It seems nobody here noticed, but the Daleks, that Colin Baker walked by taking pictures of them too. Hehe. You could hear the two very animated (coffee loving) ones in the background as the cameraperson walked away shouting: "It is the Doctor!"
Ah, i was in the Grey Destiny Dalek (Number 20), the one that started off the "RECAFFIENATE!"
How could you tell that was Colin Baker?
@@atklm1 Well, I've seen him at enough cons to be fairly sure that was him passing the camera, and he turned a little for a second so we got a tiny bit of a profile. Plus the Daleks recognized him and the camera person passed his signing table right next to Nicola Bryant on their way out of the Dalek display area. And his course from right to left screen would have started there.
@@AubreySciFi Still, pretty astute. Colin Baker was the first doctor I ever saw, watched him in the 80's when I was a lad. The most colorful of all Doctors.
@@atklm1 I saw him first run in the 80's too! Although my first Doctor Who as a kid was reruns of Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee episodes.
All I can think of now is a bunch of Daleks that are just actors on a show going about their life and doing little visits with fans like this. Also them drinking Coffee.
Daleks 19 and 20 seem like they would have a great talk show. RECAFFINATE!

@@DALEKSLAYER1 Okay I'm very jealous that these people in Great Britain have Daleks and we the freedom loving people of the United States of America have barely any! I always wanted a Dalek as a kid, but I found out from a far away, but very good friend of mine (who's a youtuber called the THE SUPREME DALEK: ua-cam.com/users/joshC275videos) that Dalek props cost an expensive load of money as in 3 thousand Dollars in cash. I'll stick to toy Daleks for now.

Someone has just recently built the original Emperor from the 1960 TV episode. Work of art.

It is wonderful just hearing a cacophony of daleks in casual conversation. Something never shown on the show, and..SO many daleks. I feel like I am dreaming.
Should be another Gathering at some point. It was cancelled due to lack of ticket sales, I think cost of living and all.

The Daleks were all calm and enjoying their time. And then THE DOCTOR walked in and their instincts took over.
Proper good event, dunno how I only just found this but I was helping out (spotted myself at 1:03 in my lovely pink bib) and brought my dalek Dave no.37 it was just a really nice event and everyone was really nice looking forward to it next year

First I thought It was a race. But these are so many. Wow.
Damn, would love to have seen Dalek Clifton and Dreadnought in this queue! I know they attended another record in 2013 but perhaps the cost to travel from Canada just for this occasion might be too much. I do recognise the WWII service holding a plate as the one who went "Would you like a jelly baby- don't take the red one!" several years back. Can't tell if Doris was here, hard to know without the balloon. I'm presuming no because none of the bronze ones have black rectangle mid-section panels. I've started to see a new individual around, a Dalek Orin, maybe you should ask him on the next attempt, assuming the Jawas spared him.

For physical full size props in a room, yes it should have. However they count 'costumes' and there were more at the previous attempt a decade before.

It's the Dalek Emperor which appeared in the 60s comics.

I don't recall seeing the kind of Dalek that shown, first. Was that one with the sort of bubble from an earlier season or something?
It's the Emperor Dalek from the 60s comics, it didn't appear in the show at all, but it did inspire the design of Davros in Remembrance of the Daleks.

How does it work? Is it remote controlled or is there someone inside? And what about the voice?
Can be a bit of both really, some go for fully remote controlled Daleks, where some, like mine i get inside and operate, do the voice etc. Mines Dalek 20, Called Dalek Skelton

@@winter9753 Yes, there's a device called a voice modulator inside that gives our voice the Dalek effect, but you do have to make yourself sound like a Dalek too
