There's people from all over the world waiting for this to be open
why?
@@jonnie2bad I'm not sure if you ever watched South Park but southpark is world famous adult animated TV show has fans all over the world
I ATE THEIR AS A KID AND REMEMBER THE SOPAIPILLAS FILLED WITH HONEY AND THE CLIFF DIVER.
Being a Culinary school graduate and someone who loved serving food and bartending in the front of the house for places like the Brown Palace, Palm Steakhouse, The Broker in different places, I decided to go downstairs at Casa Bonita the last time I was there to look at the kitchen and I clearly witnessed cooks transferring TV type so called Mexican dinners onto plates..
I hope the guys from South Park put some real love into the food and service staff there because it's a true Denver landmark.
I said years and years ago that I was certain they shoved those trays through the slots because they weren't cooking much of anything, other than heating frozen Mexican meals like you'd buy in the grocery store. I never saw it in action, but I was certain that's what was going on! I'm glad you verified it for me all these years later!!!
@@carolsalyers3581 absolutely! I saw it 4 feet in front of me and I always thought the same as you all those years too.
They should just buy up the surrounding business and expand it. Will be a tourist trap for sure.
In the summer of 1977 we were on our way to the Pikes Peak area (we were from Kansas City) and my father took us to Denver for the sole purpose of eating at Casa Bonita. He had been there during a work trip and wanted us to experience it. As we drove into the parking lot we saw the line out and around the entire building, my father didn't like to stand in lines so we turned around and ending up eating at a nice little family run Mexican restaurant near our hotel. A number of years later I was able to experience a Casa Bonita in Tulsa, OK although that restaurant didn't have the cliff diver. I look forward to the opening of this iconic restaurant and would make a trip to Denver to experience what my father had wanted us to see all those years ago.
100% promise you that little mom n pop place had better food and service than this shit hole ever did.
Jeremy looks like Matt Lauer of the Today Show.
Sad to say but the last time I was at that shopping center was about 2 years ago and there were drug addicts and homeless people everywhere in that shopping center. Hopefully they can clean up the area and make it safe.
this saga is everything
I think they should just buy out the whole shopping center and make it a Mexican-style shopping center, like a Placita Olvera.
I hope they change the menu. The tv dinner style of food they serve is horrible. Everything looks processed and generic.
It's been in the news for a few years now, that they hired a chef to update the food.
This place looks pretty Kewl
Re-open the Tulsa, OK Casa Bonita. It will take the pressure off of Lakewood.
After Casa Bonita reopens, who is going dressed up as a South Park character, and which one will you dress up as?
Bad food except sopapillas was the trademark. Let's hope they have improved on that. Happy birthday🎉🎉🎉
Sheeple will flock!
i dont get what the big deal is
@Jon Posadny The media says that you need to go ! It's not a big deal but the media hypes it up and everyone listens and it turns into a mess like always.
Here’s to Casa Bonita ‘n’ South Park!
