Um... I am stunned. I have listened to this song a million times, and I have seen Nina Hagen in concert more times than I can count.
When I first heard her recordings, I found them to be disturbing and not exactly.... "uplifting" shall we say.
But, the personality of Nina Hagen, and her incredible talent, were often dismissed because of how unusual and dark some of her work seemed. But I found the joy and the light and the love in Nina's work and fell in love with her and most of her music.
But, seeing the lyrics, both sets of lyrics, written and vocal coming from either channel, left or right, was a trip all by itself. There were things in that closed caption that revealed things I had no idea she said. And corrected other things - My friend always said (he is long dead from a heroin overdose, something I never did) because he thought she said, "Nina. The Real Art." And I just raised my voice up and called out to him, "Curtis! We had this one wrong"...

Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. There are a few bits left that are unintelligible to me. I still like hearing 'Ik hou van jou' in the beginning, which means 'I love you' in Dutch. I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend Curtis. Take care.
