This reminds me of when I go skiing and just lie down in the snow looking up into the trees watching the snow flakes fall on my goggles while listening to the total silence only broken by crows cherping and very distant skiers going through the trees and just being totally relaxed and cushioned by the snow around me and just forgetting about life and all my problems

The older I get the more I realize how much I've always lowed snow and how much I miss the heavy snowfalls we used to get compared to the warm winters the past 2 decades.
I can't understand why so many people get upset when they hear it is going to snow. It transforms the world into a work of art. Thank you for this lovely journey through wonderland.
I used to love the snow. I live in the mountains and looked forward to winter but time takes a tole on the human body. Not just for me, but for my dogs as well. They can hardly walk some days from the ache in their joints just from getting old. I feel the same way. Winter puts me in so much pain, the thought of doing any chores makes me cringe and watching my dog 11 yr old German Shepherd struggle to stand up in the morning makes me want to cry. I'm ready to move somewhere warm. We don't have these problems in the summer time.
But you are right, other than that, if people took the time to slow down and appreciate to crisp, fresh beauty of a snow storm, maybe they would not hate it so much. Kids always like it....Snowday, no school

Living in Paris is VERY depressing in winter. It rains everyday. The Seine is flooding. I Wish I had snow-it reflects light. So it's not dark & dreary.. Like rain is. New fan. Ty.. Merci.

Winter is the only season for me, the rest are a misery while waiting for winter. I love being out when no one else wants to be out, when the cold is colder than everyone else can stand and assures I’m alone. When it gets above freezing , I get sad.
Thats me when it stops raining. I love being out in the rain because no ones out. I get sad when the sun comes out and the people start playing pretend world again.

This is profoundly relaxing for me. It's not as much about forgetting my troubles as it is remembering my Self. Like an ancient thing. A welcoming.
I know what you mean. It's a sound that makes me feel connected to myself in a world where that feels very easy for me lose that connection. Way back in college, it was in the middle of nowhere in the woods of New Hampshire. It was easy to feel grounded there. Whenever I hear wind through the trees with crows cawing or the gentle tinkling and sound dampening effect of heavy snowfall, I can close my eyes and feel like I'm home again.
I swear ever time it snows here in Tennessee I go outside, sit down and contemplate my life listening to this.
It’s so warm here in Ohio this Winter. I pray to experience at least one snow day this season. This IS magic in motion. 🌬❄️🌲

We don't get snow.
Luckily I live in a part of the country where snow does happen in the highest of high mountains during the winter.
This is what I seem, and I cherish every moment of it.

Reminds me of Gunnison Colorado, Crested Butte in the winter with a gentle snow fall. Or Eagle River Alaska in the winter. Lovely natural gifts.

Perfect. This sounds close to real. Too many snow white noise videos sound like im inside of Jupiter's great red spot.
Even this IMO is a heavy breeze. Though i imagine any calmer and you won't be able to actually drown out your surrounding noise.

That sounds like really wet snow. So wet, in fact, that is sounds like rain.
Snow, rain, and fireplaces all sound different. Snow does not sound like the latter two mentioned. When the sounds of the latter two are overlayed with a snow scene, it prevents the snow scene from experiencing like a snow scene.
also, you hear the wind blowing but the trees aren't moving at all.
@@dianefiol4306 Yeah. A lot of the snow videos on UA-cam do that, and I find it frustrating. It's hard to find an authentic relaxing snow scene to get immersed in the atmosphere of. The artificial audio tracks do the scenes a disservice, IMO.
@@thischannel1071 probably because i's relaly hard to actually authentically film out in snow. i wish i could find at least one good video, with quality audio of an ACTUAL snowstorm though. not a blizzard with a lot of wind, but that quiet snow that softly plops down. i live in boston, so i know how different snow sounds, lol. too bad it's o wet and bad for electronics, lol
True. One has to experience it and smell the cold crisp air all alone to embrace nature at its finest. Then come back here to reminisce.

Winter is my favorite season. Si soft, whisper silent. The colors are mostly monochromatic shades of white to grey to what looks like the softness of well worn black velvet.

My feet are burning inside my boots. It has been hours, and the snow does not seem to get any easier to walk in. I can't feel my hands anymore. I feel like I carry two stones instead of them. Yet I have to move, I have to protect what's inside my inner pocket at all costs. I know it gives me the power to keep going, I can feel a little spark on the part it touches my body. Yet I am only human, and I am scared. I want to believe that not much left to the wooden house that man described, but I see no sign of humanity. It's getting darker and my feet are getting slower. I hear wolves howling and all the ancient creatures getting ready to get out of their caves to feast on the living wandering lost in the dark. 'You won't be one of them,' the voice of it echoes in my head. I will not be one of them, I repeat. I fasten my pace. I have to get to the wooden house.
