Most people my age have fillings and other work, but with the right diet and cleaning properly, (not synonymous with " a lot"), it really isn't difficult to look after teeth, generally. Simple things like being aware of what's being eaten and how it affects the pH in the mouth, not letting sugary drinks sit in the mouth for too long after drinking, and not scoffing the crappy carbs right after brushing, etc - over time, it all adds up.
