- In this video my dad will make a forge for under $20
We had the turkey burner laying around so we din't include that in the price. The only thing we had to buy was fire brick for the inside layer of the forge. Make sure you us a turkey burner that has an adjustable regulator (very Important). We used a Similar style for Kyle's first Forge. It's a beginners forge, something that you can make right now and start forging something! You don't need to start out with $500 to make a professional forge, just need $20 to make a beginners forge ;)

Jeff needs his own channel! I expect many people would be interested in this kind of DIY and his entertaining presentation style.
Haha! Thanks Alan good to hear from you! ~ Jeff
I like his videos also but I like them being on Kyles channel. It adds variety and it's a one stop channel for great content. If the Royer's have a new video out I'm watching.
@@japcas That's great to hear! Thank you! :)
Always handy to know how to make do! We don't get turkey fryers here in Australia, but I love the ingenuity! Keep up the great content!
Thanks for the comment again Sam! How is the weather in Australia? It is about 34 Fahrenheit here! COLD! lol
@@KyleRoyerKnives haha ae're headed into summer here, days are spiking at 36 celcius, but we're headed for the mid 40s by the end of december, I'd much rather be cold!
Been thinking about building a forge watching a lot of videos today this is by far the most entertaining and the most informative I just happen to have a s*** ton of neighbors to borrow stuff from lol I already got an old broke down turkey fryer behind the shed and a hundred pound tank of propane just need the fire brick
Good to hear my friend. Remember the idea of narrowing stuff is get to know our neighbors better and to return a good deed done to us. Have fun with it. Be safe and be careful my friend
Happy new year
Dad
My 10 year old thoroughly enjoyed this, me too.
Thanks Fogata
The spirit of building the inexpensive $20 forge was to get a chance to meet your neighbors in your neighborhood and to involve them in some of your activities and find if there may be any common interest.
It’s hard to beat a strong community.
Building a $20 forge is just one of many ways to do that
Thanks for the shout out. And a shout out back to you and your 10-year-old.
Dad
"Just go out and borrow it!" I came for the $20 forge...I stayed to become a Jeff fanboy!
Your comment make me happy! I'll forward it on to dad! (Jeff)
solid edits, good vid
looking to make a forge, super good easy knowledge
Thank You! ~Team Royer
I simply love your style! Very approachable.
Hey thanks SirDaniel. The spirit of the vid is to encourage folks to get to know neighbors, find people with common interests, and create community. It’s more fun on a journey when we go together. Cheers from the Ozarks my friend
Dad
I live for the Papa Royer videos.
Hey thanks Max
Dad
It creates a good relationship with neighbors to borrow things without Permission or borrow things all the time!
Going to disagree with that my friend. The spirit is to create community through communication with neighbors. Borrowing things or help from neighbors builds a strong community. It flows both ways. Cheers neighbor
Dad
Gonna give a psa to anyone new to gas forges propane tanks they are designed to go full blast after like half a turn so if something does go wrong you can quickly shut off the gas supply. (Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
Great tip Burgess!
Lol! Good solid advice, I love it!
The spirit of the vid is to get to know your neighborhood and bring people along with you on your journey
Cheers from the Ozarks my friend
Dad
I'm glad he told me to go buy a brand new set up, so happy I did!
Keep Forging On Jacob
👍🏻🔥☕️🤙🏻
Be safe and be careful

How long did it take for the rebar to heat up
It took about 5 minutes ~Team Royer
What type of burner is that.
Was it a 🐍 or was it a 💩? Lol juuus playin'. I enjoy hearing your thought process, Jeff, you definitely seem to know how to make due with what you have and I wish I had that type of handiness myself. Also, I've admired that anvil for a long time and have always wondered who made it or where it came from, it would be a dream to have that much mass. That's pretty incredible for a homemade anvil, and out or a solid chunk of steel nonetheless. Did you say it used to be counterweight of some sort? Is it made from mild steel? Thanks for sharing guys!
My anvil is off of a forklift with a boom. You are right, It is mild steel. Thanks for the great comment Paul!
Thought there was going to be an ad for the coffee brake
Your dads super rad
Hey thanks Shane . Feeling the love 👍🏻🔥☕️⚔️
Dad
bro ur awesome
Hey thanks Purple Guy. You go out and do the same. Find community in your journey 👍🏻🔥☕️⚔️ enjoy your adventure.
Dad
Can I just ask a question, where do you buy your firebricks?
We didn’t. We just somehow accumulated them over the years from other fun projects we did.👍🏻
The spirit of the vid is to Encourage us all to get to know your neighbors by borrowing something from them or borrowing something to them, in order to stimulate dialogue and commonroddery possibly even finding some common interest with the other men or neighborhood kids. Enjoy the adventure. You can’t beat good neighbors.😎
Jeff
The picture on the box looks just like the fire bricks offered by Home Depot.
You can beat good neighbors with no neighbors!!
Where did you get your fire brick?
Amazon has them.
How long will a tank of propane last?
You should be able to get at least 8-10 hunters. Kinda depends on bladesmith efficiency. Keep Forging On my friend
Dad
So they take away here is be the guy who borrows his neighbors stuff?....
To Borrow and to let borrow! :)
fire brick from where?
Hey Evan
I got mine from Orcheln’s
Most lumber yards have them also
Dad
明天是台灣520,
$50 5 years ago 😂😂😂 now itll be at least 200
"just steal your neighbor's forge"
Absolutely not my friend. Go get to know your neighbors and interact with them by borrowing to them and borrowing from them in turn developing relationships and sharing our lives with others near us. The journey is more fun when we bring people along with us. A forging project is just a delivery device to develop good neighbor relationships. Cheers my neighbor
