Day of Infamy wins for me because of that bullet visible through the ejection port during the reload animation. That's the kind of attention to detail I like.
While WaW is my all-time favorite WW2 FPS shooter, I always thought their gun sounds were weak. I know it's more realistic and natural, but I prefer the fake "in your face" sounds.
@@Takemura77 It's really unrealistic because most of them seem to have the bolt lock open after the last round is fired. That's not the case with a real StG44.
-it's underrated -it was kinda made during the early 2000s ish timeline in which people aren't that whiny and cringe as of today -also ww2 fps were a thing back then no matter how large the scale of your effort
For all you people... the stg44 is NOT the father of assault rifles and the AK is NOT a copy of the stg44. The stg 44 wasn't even the first automatic rifle to use an intermediate cartridge. it wasn't even the first assault rifle....
Yes, that's partially true: the MKb-42 served as basis for the StG-44, but it has a open bolt mechanism like every SMG and LMG of the time. MP-43, MP-44 and StG-44 are straightforward evolution (or simplification) one of the other and shoots from a closed bolt position, more likely the semi-auto battle rifles of that period
03:45 BiA: Hell's highway 04:45 Forgotten Hope 2 09:37 Day of infamy they are the winners! They got the weapon sound closet to the real one and their animations are good!
The one in Red Orchestra 2 and Killing Floor is not an STG44, it's an MKb 42. STG stands for Sturmgewehr which literally means "Storm Gun" but basically means Assault Rifle. The MKb on the other hand it means, Maschinenkarabiner which means Machine Carbine, because most carbines at that time (WWII) behaved like their rifles, either semi-auto or bolt action
the STG has effectively no recoil on semi or full auto what so ever, its sad to see games get it wrong in some basic areas of firearm physics, however id say Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway is the best most realistic representation, they actually used the actual sound of the STG firing for its videogame!
Well devs want the allied weapons to be superior to axis weapons all the time. In many ww2 games that i played, mp40 is harder to control than a thompson.
ATG-44 is first assault rifle and Federov avtomat was just automatic rifle. I saw people were arguing over that on another video so I had to make it clear.
Always a pleasure to see the Vietcong series get some of the spotlight. I got into it way after the lifespan, I always wondered how fun the multiplayer was.
I played almost every game which is involved in the video, but out of all these, Red orchestra Ostfront was the most epic and the biggest pleasure to play with :P Infranty classes, good vehicles (nice armour penetration and aim), different task to do, close combat. Man i loved it....
True, but I think that the reason it's included is because the Mkb-42(H) is basically the prototype STG-44, especially since it was the Mkb-42 variant chosen to become the basis of the STG-44.
Oooh it made me happy to see Big Red One included in a list. That was a good one. Also I love how the STG44 either has fairly low to moderate recoil, or it's all over the place. Hard to figure out what kind of recoil the gun would actually have, given its originally one of the first assault rifles in history.
Correction first successfully mass produced assault rifles second, this should have a lower recoil, ive seen rhe it works and its insides, the recoil sprung is long and goes into the stock, and to its length, it absorbs recpil pretty well

Privateer Bouncher First of all, Hitler wanted more SMG development, it had nothing to do with the gun’s aesthetics. Secondly, the Wehrmacht was the entire armed forces of the Reich, the army was the Heer. Jesus Christ, do some research.
