I can't think of any comedy show at produced so many cultural icons as ingrained in the UK psyche as On The Buses- Blakey is still the archetypal little Hitler, Jack the lecherous bad toothed lothario, Olive the fat frustrated ugly bird, Arthur the pompous saddo and Stan the inept chancer- utterly brilliant stuff

It was that generation. and the series was meant to show the ignorance of some of the people of that generation And if you can give me a specific example of on the buses being racist i might consider your argument. If these series are not wanted these days how come they sell on DVD and video before that
On The Buses IS A GREAT COMEDY. Todays so called comedy is a load of rubbish done by people with no talent at all. The cast of On The Buses were brilliant.
The whole series was a great laugh. They seemed like a comfortable family, and enjoying every minute.
