I"m with you. I'm 61 but if Corey signs up to be a "Big Brother" I'll be first in line to need one. I'll have to get my wife to fake my mom's signature but I'm thinking it's doable.
Sam's reaction when Dad looked at him when he was crackling the snack bag. Classic. Hunting with kids is an adventure in itself. Kudos to all who take kids into the woods and teach them to hunt. Boom stick time.
I know what its like taking my young son out hunting. They are the hunts I always look forward the most, and I enjoy the most. Thanks for showcasing these hunts with the kids in the series.
"Fooot ball" "killing elk" "football" "Killing elk" Tuff choice as a young man.. but hanging out with dad priceless.. he'll never forget these times an memories created.. there his forever..
Sam's got a great dad. He may not appreciate it now (I hope he does), but he will especially after he has a son of his own. Thanks for passing the tradition along. It provides great life lessons that nonhunters are missing out on and will never understand.
Some of my best memories with my dad occurred in the elk woods, thank you for passing the memories & life lessons on to another generation & raising you kids to appreciate our sport!
Cory, I'm available for adoption if you ever want another kid to take hunting. I'm a 47-year-old retired infantry officer but let's not split hairs here.
RMEF Strategy for Success - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - Spend time taking your kids elk hunting while they are young.
Great experience to share with kids. Bulls running in like that will definitely get the heart racing. I used to love hearing my kids say, "this is the best day ever". I can hear Sam saying that after that experience.
Well stated with tonight’s strategy for success on when and how to stop the galloping bull!! Have experienced this few times now and good to know I am not the only one that has seen them come and go. 😁 Sam’s face was priceless..
These are the kind of experiences that make a pro hunter! Pretty cool to watch these guys walking around without a bow - working together to get Sam into the action.
I took my stepson out elk hunting when he was 14. He had Big Hank as Randy refers standing at 7 yards. He was shaking so bad he couldn't keep the pins on him to make the shot. We both just watched Big Hank walk away. It's been 10 years now and we still talk about that hunting trip all the time. Best time ever.
Even when you don’t kill an elk, which has been every day I’ve ever elk hunted, it’s totally worth it when you get experiences like this. Thanks for taking us along.
I hope Jessi and Sam know how lucky they are to be able to elk hunt with their Dad and Uncle Donnie! I would give anything for one more season traipsing around the mountains with my pop. Harvesting an elk is just icing on the cake!
Another amazing experience...oh so close. Really love the strategy for success once again, there is no replacement for experience to teach some of these lessons but I love learning by proxy and this was an incredible morning of elk hunting.
Looked like a GREAT day! I was with my son 2 seasons ago where I left him posted up while I made a small loop around following a single elk. Came back and he was gone. Turns out he too had a cow run behind him at 5 yards that got away because he thought it was me coming back... We ended up following bugling elk clear back to the truck in mid November! Half way back he fell on his rifle and broke it in half! Just as we got to the truck we spot the herd 250 yds away at last light. We came back the next weekend and he got a large cow from the same group again above the truck by 100 yds!!! Ruger made good by completely fixing his gun- free of charge! That made for a great time with my son!!!
Some very good call ins. Being able to draw back at the right time and getting the elk to start in the right spot are two more factors that make harvesting a bull challenging if you are fortunate to get them to come within range.
Feels like ya see a diffrent side of Donnie when he is hunting with Corey's kids. Love how he is right there coaching them throught. Kids defiantly know him!!👍
This was a great episode between the freight train elk, Donnie getting Sam to mud on his face, and the need to open that DANG wrapping for some food. Priceless
I’m very impressed with this young man so far in this series. He has shown more restraint than a lot of grown men that would have tried to force a shot.
Great action especially enjoyed Sam trying to open his snacks quietly and ever so slowly. Ok I have to admit Donnies dad joke blew by me, I had to stop it and replay it. Bam!!! That was a slow cooker as well too funny!!! Great episodes so far guys.
That was so freaking cool!!!! I had a similar experience of a fast moving bull once... after about 12 years of chasing elk!!!! Hahaha!!! I fell to pieces with adrenaline. This kid stands there stone cold watching it all unfold. Absolutely amazing hunt gents. MAN YOU GUYS ARW GETTING ME PUUUUMPED!!!!
Frank Pittman once said: “Fathering is not something perfect men do, but something that perfects the man." Thanks guys for a great episode.
I want to be Corey's kid.. World Class caller, totes you around in a trailer, carries your bow, I'm doing this all wrong 😂😂
I"m with you. I'm 61 but if Corey signs up to be a "Big Brother" I'll be first in line to need one. I'll have to get my wife to fake my mom's signature but I'm thinking it's doable.
Do you think he could deal with triplets? Count me in 😊
Gotta love how you have taught your children to love and respect the outdoors! You have done your job passing it on to the next generation!
I love Sam’s level of focus with the tongue out trying to quietly open the Honey Stingers
Pretty hilarious with the tongue out. I trust he picked up the piece he tore off and dropped at his feet.
19:00 He’s trying to be so quiet and then his dad just smashes into the trail mix loudly right after. Hilarious. 😂 Too funny.
Love the smile on Donnie's face when Sam was appling dirt camo to his face 😆
Sam trying to quietly open the snack is priceless! The face of concentration!😂
Sam's reaction when Dad looked at him when he was crackling the snack bag. Classic. Hunting with kids is an adventure in itself. Kudos to all who take kids into the woods and teach them to hunt. Boom stick time.
Had to laugh watching Sam slowly opening up his snack while his dad was talking. Looked like Michael Jordan with that tongue sticking out.
Sam wanted that snack SO bad!!! 🤤🤣🤣
Great encounters! I thought it was going to be Sam’s day.
unforgettable memories. Time spent hiking the mountains with your family can't be beat. Encounters and elk like that make it all the better.
"Here comes an elk, there goes an elk." That should be the title. That was some hilarious footage.
Sam opening the Honey Stinger and the look from Cory. The classic “Dad look!”
Watching Sam slowly continue to open it was cracking me up 😂
I know what its like taking my young son out hunting. They are the hunts I always look forward the most, and I enjoy the most. Thanks for showcasing these hunts with the kids in the series.
“I guess I should’ve showered this morning...”. Classic.
"Fooot ball" "killing elk" "football"
"Killing elk" Tuff choice as a young man.. but hanging out with dad priceless.. he'll never forget these times an memories created.. there his forever..
Sam's got a great dad. He may not appreciate it now (I hope he does), but he will especially after he has a son of his own. Thanks for passing the tradition along. It provides great life lessons that nonhunters are missing out on and will never understand.
Lol. He's trying to open that honey stinger so quietly.
The look on Corey’s face said it all when he looked at him. Haha
RMEF Strategy for Success: The quality of raking and the length of the stick used have a direct relationship. #EngineerIt
Some of my best memories with my dad occurred in the elk woods, thank you for passing the memories & life lessons on to another generation & raising you kids to appreciate our sport!
I caught myself moving my head to look for the Elk.
Lol ....me too .....lol.
Sam opening that wrapper "quietly" while Corey was talking to the camera had my wife and I rolling. 😂
I love that you are teaching the younger generation to hunt. So important.
Cory, I'm available for adoption if you ever want another kid to take hunting. I'm a 47-year-old retired infantry officer but let's not split hairs here.
Cory doesn’t have any hairs to split! 😁
I was just fixing to see if he wanted a 41 year old.
I‘ve been thinking the same thing.
You guys are too late, I already asked him to adopt me. I don’t think he is in the market for another one. Haha
RMEF Strategy for Success - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - Spend time taking your kids elk hunting while they are young.
Here he come.... there he goes!! Wow, what a hunt to get your boy in on. Thanks for sharing with us. Donnie, you are one hell of a friend!!
That is some incredible action. Sam is one lucky kid to be able to enjoy all that action. Those are incredible memories in themselves.
That's an experience none of Corey's kid will forget, time spent in the woods with friends and family can't be beat! Keep it up guys!
Great experience to share with kids. Bulls running in like that will definitely get the heart racing. I used to love hearing my kids say, "this is the best day ever". I can hear Sam saying that after that experience.
The wrapper opening is classic! Bulls in close. Rub dirt on the face. Such a great episode! Thank you!
I love the time spent with the family in the woods. nothing compares to that
The perseverance is an inspiration - my lack of calling is a hindrance - that great of a caller “still” working that hard is dedication!
Nothing I love more than hunting with my dad! We have the best times.
What a cool memory he will have for a lifetime! I love being in the woods with my children! A nervous grunt will stop them in their tracks!!!
Well stated with tonight’s strategy for success on when and how to stop the galloping bull!! Have experienced this few times now and good to know I am not the only one that has seen them come and go. 😁 Sam’s face was priceless..
I know that feeling all to well of a kid opening a bag of snacks in the woods. Loudest thing ever!!
Close encounters like that are what it’s all about. I bet the heart was pumping!
These are the kind of experiences that make a pro hunter! Pretty cool to watch these guys walking around without a bow - working together to get Sam into the action.
Love this episode. Family traditions will always be remembered.
Donnie is the man for everything he does. What a great guy to have on your team.
Love the close encounters even if you don’t get a shot. Another great day in the Oakwood‘s
Love seeing a dad hunt with his son.
Some of my best memories growing up are hunting with my dad and brothers!!!
Love seeing families hunt together! Super special
Nothing better than getting a kid into that wild kind of action (even if he's seen it before). Love watching this eyes and expressions.
So much fun to see father and son hitting the elk woods together. That’s what it is all about.
That had to be a heart pounding moment. Having the bull come running in turn and run back by.. What a fun day.
Love seeing father teaching the ways to his kids.
Hunting with kids is a adventure in itself, but such a privilege and awesome opportunity to pass it on to future generations!
Dang that bull didn't even stop! Cherish the memories you make hunting ❤️
You have to love those heart pounding moments when the prey is just steps away!
I loved how Sam opened the wrapper. Reminds me of hunting with my father growing up and not being able to make any noise!
This one episode was the equivalent of years of elk hunting for some folks. Lots of action. Looked like a great time.
The way that bull came racing by then race off was outstanding. Good job guys
Another amazing experience...oh so close. Really love the strategy for success once again, there is no replacement for experience to teach some of these lessons but I love learning by proxy and this was an incredible morning of elk hunting.
My dad told me that dad joke when I was little, at least 20 years ago. I have never forgotten that one.
"I'm about to even the score...Get Ready"...cant get the opening song out of my mind. Look forward to it every night.
Nothing better than those up close and personal elk situations almost better than being able to make a shot on one!
That made for a great time with my son!!!
That was intense! It’s great to have the kids involved and see their excitement for hunting as well.
Crazy rush! The elk came in running. Elk hunting is a great way to bond and bring your kids outdoors!
That bull was fired up! So awesome!
Giving Back to our younger generation. Awesome!!
You guys got him really close. Love how you keep the kids in the woods, a great video. I hope Sam gets one.
Definately going to have my boys watch these episodes, your kids are good examples of responsible kids taking the sport of hunting seriously!
Just recently listened to an old pod cast. One of the questions was about getting your kid into hunting. Thank you corey for more insight.
Unreal footage. I'm sure it was better in person. The smile on Sam's face says it all.
I still remember the days I spent in the woods with my dad, memories that will last forever.
I love this! My seven year old can’t wait to get out elk hunting. Thanks for sharing your family hunts.
Some very good call ins. Being able to draw back at the right time and getting the elk to start in the right spot are two more factors that make harvesting a bull challenging if you are fortunate to get them to come within range.
Man, those kids are getting a world class Elk101 education! So cool. Love the episodes with his kids!
Incredible footage... again! Awesome seeing the youth out enjoying the outdoors.
Feels like ya see a diffrent side of Donnie when he is hunting with Corey's kids. Love how he is right there coaching them throught. Kids defiantly know him!!👍
So many variables that can prevent you from getting an arrow off! At least success isn’t necessarily the harvest! Great video
Another close up! That’s some of the best memories in my hunting. Thanks for sharing
Another awesome day in the woods with family. These are the days Corey
This was a great episode between the freight train elk, Donnie getting Sam to mud on his face, and the need to open that DANG wrapping for some food. Priceless
gotta love it when they run right in looking to destroy their rival!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!!
What an awesome experience as a young man!! Donnie leading Corey calling!! Man I’m so jealous!
I’m very impressed with this young man so far in this series. He has shown more restraint than a lot of grown men that would have tried to force a shot.
That bull was coming in hard. Always cool to hear them bugle and see how they work.
Amazing experience. Bull just kept running... classic. Impressive no one moved out of the way.
Now that's an experience that will never be forgotten!
Wow that elk came in on a string! Even after spooking Corey was able to bring him back in! Super fun to see this kind of elk activity on camera.
Love you guys taking the kids up hunting and showcasing it!
Here he comes, there he goes! I've been there! Great footage! Love watching youngsters learning to hunt!
Great action especially enjoyed Sam trying to open his snacks quietly and ever so slowly. Ok I have to admit Donnies dad joke blew by me, I had to stop it and replay it. Bam!!! That was a slow cooker as well too funny!!! Great episodes so far guys.
Thank you showing us great elk footage. I love seeing your kids hunting!!
What a rush when that bull came running in. Awesome to see kids out hunting.
Corey's look at Sam when he was opening up the snacks is the best
Loved the Dad look when Sam what opening his snack. Stoked for my kids to be old enough to get out with me.
Love the experience as you guys are making with him. What great memories you’ll have.
Loved watching Sam play the noise game with that wrapper when you were trying to talk.
There is nothing better that hunting with you kids or you dad!!!
Hard to know what to do in the heat of the moment when the object of your desire is headed straight for ya! What an experience!
That bull was on a mission. Great memories created awesome you have it all filmed to look back on with sam
Sam's hunts are always action packed! Can't wait to see him knock one down!
Thank you Cory and Donnie for just an incredible hunt!!!
I love that his son is sporting his dad’s logo! If he was my dad I would be shouting from the roof tops Elk101!
