I admire composers like John Paul and George who can create songs by what means I have no idea. They keep on going til they get it right and it’s just amazing. Geniuses.

2:32 John always loved switching to 3/4 in certain parts or usually the ending of his songs

Probably my favorite Lennon song post Beatnik era. Great jangle guitar on that one and it rocks.

Found a rare outtake. Probably from The Lost Lennon Tapes. Nobody told me, that we would end up in such strange days,, like today.

Guide vocal for Ringo in 1980. This one could have been a John Lennon’s single in 1975, with arrangement of a truly stax record, with a Carlos Alomar’s band as a companion.

I think Lennon still had it in 1980 despite people writing him off. Nobody Told Me is a great track, the acoustic demo of I'm Stepping Out is great. Same with the acoustic demo of Watching The Wheels. A great song, but it could have been much better if it was produced right. The raw and exciting version of I'm Losing You from his Anthology cds or Wonsaponatime is far better than the weakened version on Double Fantasy. Lennon was still capable of making great music. He was only getting used to being in the studio again. If he had of lived he would of returned to England and met up with George, Paul and Ringo again. Plus the likes of Eric Clapton and Klaus Voorman. I believe he would have grown in confidence and made an album with just his own songs without Yoko and with musicians he knew and got along with.
To think McCartney went on and made Tug Of War, Flaming Pie and Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. All great albums. I believe Lennon would eventually have went on and made some great albums. I also believe he would of got back together with all the ex-beatles and made some music with them. Maybe not as the Beatles, but under a different name.
    LENNON REMEMBER ✌️

Oh he for sure did. That break did him wonders. I think his songs in double fantasy are awesome, especially watching the wheels

Stop w the pie in the sky idea that he would’ve hooked back up w Paul etc. It doesn’t matter either way because he was great all by himself. So was Paul. So was George.

'Would have' or 'would've' not 'would of'! I keep seeing this more and more lately. Not sure he would've been better with the other Fabs. They ballsed up 'Real Love' well and truly.... with Jeff Lynne.

In their self deprecating ways John and George mentioned how Paul was GREAT at coming up with all of these "fantastic melodies" and "we don't KNOW where"....Well, John and George were VERY GOOD, heck GREAT at writing some pretty FANTASTIC melodies of their own. Take Paul, when asked (in 1969) when asked which tracks he liked on the "new" Abbey Road album mentioned John and George songs and didn't mention his at all other than to say he liked the side B where all the songs ran into each other. Ironically John HATED that side . I love John but I just LOVE side B!!!
