I still think it was a missed opportunity that Bungie never made DLC featuring the same squad for Halo Reach. Especially since they make a cameo appearance later in the game's campaign.
The problem so far is the ODST Firefight matchmaking Arcade. If you are grinding for the PvE tasks that involves ODST Firefight. Depending on the map (mainly with Phantoms), the loading time for the next wave of enemies takes so long to respawn that the timer reaches zero before the last wave arrives, and doesn't count as a Firefight win. EDIT: The main problem is the Phantoms, especially in Security Zone. They are so slow that the next wave doesn't start till they leave the map.
the funny thing about ODST, you have more health and "shield" then the chief, it all come down to the shield and health type of the ODST, wich is diffrent then a spartan or elite, so damage types act very diffrently by comparison.
What did they learn from the Alien at the end of the game? Because I've been wondering for a long time. I read somewhere that they received basically unreliable or not very credible information. If that's the case, doesn't that basically negate the whole purpose of ODST? To go through all that trouble for basically nothing? Help me out here!!!
They learned about Truth's true intent (activating the Ark) on Earth. However, none of them seemed to know it was only a portal. The Engineers also vastly improved humanity's technological capacity tenfold.
@@themisled7337 Really? I thought they were more along the lines of modern Army Rangers. Considered a cut above infantry but are dropped in the middle of the shit, so they're some tough motherfuckers.
@@CIintB3ASTW0oD You might be right but as I read it, the ODST were the best in the UNSC until the spartans came along, part of the reason that relations are sour between the two Edit: The wiki explicitly states that the ODST are a special operations force and that Bungie considered them as a sort of futuristic successor to the SAS

Why are people reviewing the ODST story for a remaster?? I want to know how the game performs on PC and I want to know if they fixed the FPS cap. I already played the game like 10 years ago I don't want to be reminded of the story I want to go through it again myself. Just show me if the game is well remastered don't show me the story.
He did. The game runs well and has no fps cap. Also, not everyone has played this game and some are genuinely curious if the game is any good, hence the rest of the review.
@@themisled7337 I shouldn’t have typed FPS cap because that’s not what I meant. The halo games on pc have a major problem where animations are locked at 60fps. Yes the game says in the FPS counter that it’s unlocked but it’s not. It looks very weird and wrong. If you’ve ever played on a 144hz monitor on halo pc you know what I mean. I’m not going to get halo ODST just for this to be a problem in it as well.
basically halo 3 dlc resold as a full game Funny how no one critics Microsoft for this obvious cash grab, but have the hall to call miles morales a dlc game Guess Microsoft is immune to all criticism, they can put DRM and ppl still give them money
If This was actually dlc it would be the best dlc of all time so would it really be a cash grab Halo 3 ODST is a halo game where you not a bad ass spartan instead your a ODST this game is about different perspectives
@@pierce2lit097 except the only thing different was instead of a shield you got regenerating health like cod, and despite being a human odst, you can still melee kill brutes Aka exactly the same as halo 3 minus dual wielding
Dude, obscure? Really? And given that it's never been on pc before, it is very welcome to be able to play it again (first time for some) on newer hardware with far better performance.
I think halo 5 was the worst... no couch co op, card based multiplayer with so many micro transactions, and yet another cliffhanger that I don't see how Master Chief can fix since the entire Universe has been EMPed by Cortana...
Bro odst was a dlc for halo 3 and bungie didnt even need to make it but they did because they love their fans. Personally i love odst. It was the first time we werent chief and saving the planet again and again. We were now alone and trying to survive and i loved that change of pace.
I replayed this just a month ago. 😌such a gem it is.
It's a trashy cash grab

I loved halo ODST it was really awesome and super underrated
It most certainly isn’t underrated
Smell Stank okay fair enough
That audio insert at 5:30 lol. The [enemy] have rigged them with bombs
I liked the campaign. It was nice having navigation on the hud. :)

Spartans are overrated yeah I said it Spartans are boring fight me i want more halo games based the average soldier.
I think a man by the name of Leonidas and his not so friendly group of about 299 men would like to have a word with you about your opinion...
Starwars Fan360 he’s joking

I wanted to shoot myself trying to find the last beacon with that awful map during the mission in the middle of the city.
What does ODST mean?
ODST stands for " Orbital Drop Shock Trooper" . It is the soldier class of the main protagonist in the game.
