    who else saw a hay bale out in a field, wondered how they were made, and decided to watch this video?

    Nice bale! What's the most "popular" equipment for your area? I work at a CNH dealership, so I'm away interested about different regions.

      John Deere and Kubota are the big names around here. In the last several years it seems like Kubota has been taking over more and more though.

      Well it actually belongs to my cousin so I'm not 100% sure, but it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 75-80 hp, I believe.

    That was really interesting, I've never seen how hay was baled and always wondered about it when I would see bales sitting in a field. Watched 3 times, lol. I'm sure it's hard work, but it looked like fun.

    Wow ...dont lower your 3 point to the ground like that...your going to destroy the thing..lay bar on ground and keep 3 point as high as you can and bar stays flat.....

    Dumb question: Is this the only way to do it? I haven't baled hay in my life. I would like to assist someone to do it-on 8 acres, a 70/30 split(?)

    Enjoyed the video. The farm next to us here is eastern Oregon bales those super sized rectangle shaped bales. Always wanted to see how the round bales were made. Thanks for sharing.

    Didn't show the most fun part after baling, the loading and unloading of the bales. I help friends out and really enjoy the time in the skid steer out in the open, even though it has no air conditioning.

    looks like you have to do it by yourself also. I'm not even half way done yet. Back window open on the cab, A/C not working or working too well. lol

      I did al of the cutting and raking but my brother came and helped bale for a few hours so we could beat the rain clouds. I A/C works in this tractor but just barely. Having the window open sure helps get some air flow.

    I noticed when you started cutting you had the 3 point way to low it was dragging the belt guard on the ground, on those cab tractors when its hot you got to have ac or you cant stay in it. that baler works whole like my nh chain baler.

    Kubota is a bad name here, we just lost that line. Trying to build a mega dealership, pushing little mom-n-pop's out. Pure greed!

    How about tieing the dog out there for a few days

    • @ArmsFamilyHomestead
      @ArmsFamilyHomestead  8 років тому

      They are pretty familiar with my dogs and I think the dog on a chain would do way more harm than good in a garden.
