No Heat Service Call Unit Fires Up & No Air Flow

I am on a no heat service call. I get there and I think it’s kind of odd I feel some heat coming out of the inducer. I looked inside the unit and units not starting out. I check the pressure switch is closed. Then unit fires up runs alittle while and goes out. The limit shuts the gas off and blower not starting up. I find the wire going to the capacitor for the blower motor was disconnected and against the blower housing. I replaced the wire connection. The blower motor still wouldn’t start. The motor was really hot and off on overload. Therefore I have it time to cool off. After the motor cooled off the unit fired up and the blower started right up. A repair job where no parts needing to be replaced. My favorite kind of repairs

I always like to recommend a blower motor replacement when that kind of stuff goes down, just in case. Thanks for the video.

I don't have any of that model of Lennox furnace still out in the field. I condemned the last one a few years ago for a cracked heat exchanger. The guy was wanting to have his buddy welded. So I disconnected the unit in several ways so that it would not run, just to cover my butt. Merry Christmas Bill. I hope Santa brings you something good this year. 🎅👍

Hackmister thanks for the videos, but you should always test for voltage everywhere before touching anything some rooftops can have two service disconnects.
