I love the last part of this episode. Its hard to see romantic side of sung jo even in the long series. They should have more this kind of scenes. Where Hani is not overeating while Sung jo expressing more about his feeling and gives his smiles with full of love. We can not see that in the long series. Why dont they show it in this special episode..

Your right. It's a pity they didn't progress the story like other adaptations before this. In the Japanese original series , the lead actor was the first to notice his wife's pregnancy. Not even his wife knew. And she got pregnant after they celebrated the girls birthday. His mother booked a hotel for their celebration and the rest is history 🤣🤣

And then it's official live action adaptation where itazura na kiss 1996 and mischievous kiss love in Tokyo officially aired in the year 2013 and it's sequel Mischievous kiss love in Okinawa aired in the year 2014. It also has it's taiwanese adaptation aired in the year 2003-2004 entitled it started with a kiss and it they kiss again
I've watched these special editions alot already and the last part of this episode keeps me wanting more sequels!! 😭😭 I hope they make Playfull kiss part 2 haha with them having kids! Haha that'll be fun lol.

Before I didn't why it wasn't well received in Korea but after I have watched the previous remakes before this and even it's original series I finally understand why. The author of the Manga where this story was based was actually the author's record of her own real love story with her husband. With his husband as the advisor of the Manga they published the anime manga in the year 1996. But the author died before she could finish wrapping up the story that's why in any of it's remake season 3 wasn't realize. With her husband being the only one left he decided not to proceed with the continuation in memory of her wife. He wants the anime to highlight how precious, cute , and beautiful her personality was.
I never tired or bored watching all the episodes (16+7),. hopefully,, Group8 will make a season 2 with the same lead casting KimHyunJoong and JungSoMin,,
