Anyone else kinda mad that Shakespeare made Romeo's character such a tool yet this "love story" is like, super mainstream? Straight up falls madly in "love" with Juliet right after declaring his "love" to Roseline... who didn't even love him back. In my opinion, he did not know what real love was. I think He was just a lonely lustful boy who wanted something pretty to "love" him back. It's a common mistake when searching for love. Maybe this is why this tragic "love story" is so popular. Do people even realize how stupid the characters are? No, because they resonate with this kind of "love". I mean he knew nothing about either one of these girls, but he had a dying "love" for them? Idk... it just sounds like a whole lot of lonely lust, but not love. I guess I'm not mad at Shakespeare, rather I am mad at society for looking at this like it was "true love" that they were ACCIDENTALLY dying for. The story itself is great I just think people misinterpret the shit. Tragic Lust Story not a Tragic Love Story! And they were only 13 years old for shits sake! 😂

I love your awkward flow style, I keep your live vids on repeat. Your live version seems to have more emotion. Dont fall into the trap of letting the studio effects over produce your intent. You have such a genuine sound, it's obvious when we can see your face but the trick is to convey it over the recording. Just go back to your live stuff l, peach scones, romeo juliet, sex in the city. First time listener. A friend of mine recommended this song. I'm not sure whether I like it, but damn do I appreciate his style. ive listened to hobojohnson for quite some time now and having parents who always fought, these songs always meant a lot to me but my mother just moved out today and i've had one of the most eventful weekends of my life and watching this on a schoolnight 1am when I have to work on a project I didnt get to do because I was helping move stuff and doing my JROTC formal events all weekend, ive resorted to pulling an all nighter so wont sleep through my alarm and drive my sister to school late,,, this song has made me let out all thosse pent up feelings because it means so much more to me and it feels so much more real now thank you i needed this

In my opinion, falling out of love is one of the saddest things to witness or be a part of. I hate the fact that I don’t care about someone that used to be my world. But one of the worst things is seeing how my parents argue. Seeing how my parents seem to fall out of love. How they smile less...

This song hits home because my mum left my dad when I was young and got into an abusive relationship with the man I called my dad for 11 years who cheated on her. I always felt like the odd child out because they had several children together and I always had to explain that he wasn’t actually my dad. Then my mum was engaged to somebody else for 8 years who was abusive to us and they had children together. I always found it hard that his children were protected like Gods and the rest of us were left traumatised.
I’ve always had a bit of an identity crisis and distrust when it comes to men, since any that come and go from my life have always left a bad stain. To watch one person fall madly in love with somebody else who is set out to hurt them.
Watching people ‘fall out of love’ is one of the hardest things you can watch. I fear the day I have to experience the same thing.
