Matewan High School Football (1991)

In 1991, the Tigers of Matewan High School advanced through the playoffs and made it to the Class "A" State Championship. In the game though, one of the most controversial calls in championship history was made in the finals minutes of a successful catch made by the Peterstown Pirates. The Tigers fell, 25-21 but it was one of the most memorable seasons in Matewan History. Big Thanks to Rick Jackson for the original video which was filmed by Kenny Bass.
