I still want to see a game where you try to leave a split every shot. Then get bonus if pick up the spare.
Next step from here would be Skins Game rules. Just like golf - roll until you get them all - but winner of each individual frame, regardless of ball count, scores one point... plus one point for all preceding tied frames since the last time someone scored (in other words, the point for a tied frame gets carried forward until someone wins a frame).

Great idea. I really enjoyed this one.
A low score idea that I've always wanted to do is bowl with bumpers and see how low of a score you can shoot. Maybe you can do that one for the channel. Trying to get the ball to land in the gutter after the end of the bumper and before the 7 or 10 pin sounds like an interesting challenge to me.

I enjoyed the video, and Carter seems like a very nice young man. I was a 200 average when I was his age. ( Brunswick Crown Jewel plastic ball) and I'm 81 now. He reminds me of my YOUT (As Joe Pesci said in My Cousin Vinnie). Of course, back then, only little kids threw the ball two-handed. Lol

This is a good change of scoring in bowling.. you can do 18frames (holes)

We always played golf but two shots per frame, lowest pin count. Gutter on first is a strike, gutter on 2 is a spare. Going for 1 pin 1st shot, 1 pin 2nd shot. Low score wins
Hey packy, could you try doing 1 ball per frame where every frame starts with the greek church. high score wins (10-11 shots total)
You could do a video where you play low ball. Rules are you want the lowest pin count, so players try to pick off just the 10 and then the 7. Gutter or no score counts as 10 pins.
I ended up doing the wet sanding for the radioactive vibe and got a 125 and a 136 with that and my storm mix black and pink
I remember a bowling game that I played when I was a kid that had a golf mode and each frame had different pin setups so one frame would have the pins be in a circle and another would have them in a X shape scoring was the same as golf and there was a certain par for each frame.
No comments about Packy using a "Tomato Vibe" ball? I for one would buy it if it was for real. 😊
On the 10th frame, you should still get a shot of an extra strike(s) if you strike or spare. The extra strike will remove 1 from your score so a perfect game will be 8. Making a spare after a strike in the 10th also will add -1 as well.
XXX=-1 (1 for strike but -2 for XX)
X-/=0 (1 for strike but -1 for spare)
-/X=1 (2 for spare, but -1 for strike)
You guys should try a challenge similar to where you have to knock down 9, then 8 then 7 etc, but in stead maybe striking with different mph like 20 then 19 then 18 then 17 etc?

Great variant, but it really should be played across 18 lanes with different patterns on them. And the patterns should be oddly irregular - patches of dry and slick to act as "hazards". Bowl two frames per lane. First frame is "fairway" - use any ball you like, but each ball only once on each lane (different "club selection" for each shot). Second frame is "on the green" so you have to use a "putter" - perhaps a 7 or 8lb ball? Or just a spare ball? And you must use the same "putter" for the whole game. Spares for par = par 72 like a real golf course. I really want to see this now! I can even imagine a golf bowling tour, with bowling centres setting up their own golf course patterns. And some centres having string pins (in some cases only on some lanes) would just add to the variation of "golf holes".
I love this idea but one change
The bowling center should assign a “par” to each hole/lane based on difficulty like on pga tour so they get a birdie par or bogey on a lane. Also this will allow the center to make lane patterns harder without punishing the bowlers.
It's a fun sounding idea, but for Packy I don't think he could do something like that. He normally plays where there's other people bowling on different lanes. Then there's the fact the amount of time to set up would be long. Each lane they'd have to switch the pattern and possibly go on the lane themselves to smear oil or spray extra oil for hazards. I just don't see them pulling it off.
Yeah, that's a natural extension. The par 72 was mostly for illustrative purposes anyway - to show that the game scales right. There would need to be a bag limit on balls of course and perhaps a limitation that you can't have two of the same weight ball in your bag. Gotta have that "club selection" mean something. And ideally, in each group each bowler would take their first shot of each frame and then order would be determined by "distance from the pin" (i.e. the number of pins they left standing). Last player to make the green takes the first shot on the green frame, and so on, but first to clear the green "takes the honours" at the next "tee". All that should be easy enough to program into the pin-setting software.
Oh ye of little faith. 😛 I'm looking forward to the inaugural Packy Hanrahan Invitational Pro-Pro Golf Bowling Tournament, played over four days, featuring all your favourite PBA and WPBA stars, paired with PGA and WPGA golfers. Who ever thought a PBA Pro would be trying to bowl under 70? And how often have you seen a golf pro hit the pin from the tee off? Come on, the advertising copy writes itself! This will be bigger and bowling and golf combined!! 😛
...and of course then there's the return leg, where they play golf by bowling rules. Ten holes, two shots per hole, and your score is how close you get to the hole in terms of 10ths of the distance from the tee, rounded down, with spare and strike rules applied. Only maybe the first 60 feet don't count.
CHALLENGE: Pattern: modified house shot. 10 Frames: FLUSH X = 5 points, Regular X = 3 points, / = 1 point, open frame = -3 points. (or change the point values) - High score wins.
More Packy owning the WSU team would be cool.

Packy, you brought up how people complain when you are beating them with urethane and I agree. In league by game 3 I would move to the edge and throw an original back hammer and they would rip their hair out as I’m throwing ropes and they couldn’t carry. I had a guy refuse to bowl against me in a position round because I embarrassed him with 25 yr old urethane ball.

Low Ball - You have to hit at least one pin on every shot. If you don't hit any pins it counts as if all went down. Example a gutter ball would always count as a strike/spare. A "perfect" game is 20, picking off a corner pin on each shot.

Do a whole game backwards through the legs. Maybe a gimmie on splits, do them forward, but opposite hand.

I have a challenge for you, you have to bowl normal with houseballs any weight and leave the whole backrow aka (7-8-9-10 split)

I bowled 4 games on string pins and scored 98, 176, 289, and 112 in the same sitting. Never again.

I can see that happening if it was your first time bowling on strings, not knowing what to expect in game 1 possibly trying too hard, then settling down in game 2, but still missed a couple spares, figuring it out for game 3, then getting lost in transition in game 4... if you rolled more than 3 splits that game, you probably should have balled down.... just an observation.

Would of been better if you made each frame, a par 3, so a strike is 3 (a double would be 2 + your third frame) but if you turn that single strike into a Turkey, the first frame is a hole in one and so on. So theoretically speaking a perfect game is 12 (The 10th frame counts as single strikes).
If a strike is 3, then a perfect game wouldnt be 12… but if your going par you then also have to account the birdie and eagle being negative. So a strike would then be -2, a spare being -1, and a par being 0. Anything over being +1,+2, etc.

How about the same rules as this challenge, except instead of full racks there are increasingly difficult splits? It can start with Baby Split and opposite side Baby Split, and go all the way to the 5,7,10.

We use to do leaster games as a kid. Go for the lowest score and gutters count as strikes. This brings up childhood memories with my family bowling.

house bowling is a pretty good channel, but my biiiiiiiggest pet peeve (not that it really matters) is how this guy ALWAYS talks about himself. every sentence he says has the words me or I in it, and while to some it may seem normal or just like, whatever, it's lowkey annoying. other bowling entertainment or educational videos, such as Darren Tang or Brad/Kyle are all about addressing the viewers at home to make them part of the experience. with this guy, it drives me nuts when it's just 20 minutes of watching a guy bowl, say a cocky comment or two, then talk about himself
