- Finally, the all-new Ford Raptor is here, and for the first time in a very very long time we get a petrol engine offered in a pick-up truck.
With 297PS and 583 Nm of torque from the 3.0 twin turbo V6 engine, the power delivery is nothing short of awesome, despite a kerb weight of 2,490 kg.
The Raptor looks very good, and if you have RM259,888 to buy one, that would reallymake your day.
As for us, we are waiting eagerly for a test unit, so until then, stay tuned.

@@noahismail3884 Previous Ranger Raptor use 2.0 Inline 4. Just this latest model started using 3.0 V6 Ecoboost. Also its Ranger Raptor not F150 Raptor that use 3.5 V6 Ecoboost
@@trotanium13 ranger raptor 2022 hanya ada 1 variant sahaja, v6 ecoboost. thai, aus hanya ada variant ni sahaja. so malaysia mmg pasti la dapat versi yang sama.
wildtrak sahaja utk Ausie market ada v6 diesel turbo / 2.0 biturbo . utk market msia hanya 2.0 biturbo .

Damn the size of this Raptor...I don't think it can fit into some parking lots...or even be able to enter some shopping malls to begin with. Best to own a smaller daily driver and use this as a secondary vehicle. Awesome truck nonetheless.

What is the annual road tax for a 3.0 litre engine in ringgit? Also, is this vehicle assembled in Malaysia or fully imported from Thailand?
Roadtax is RM2k, I think. It is CBU, not sure from where.

Got the same problem with not-so-good service in vietnam. Lot of cases that happened which Ford's dealer cant do nothing to deal with it.

Only the launch review. It is basically the same drive train carried over from the previous generation 2.0 twin turbo.
Toyota should do a twin tubo diesel V6 engine for hilux.

The cost of road tax alone would put most potential buyers off but if you insist on towing your house cross country, the HP and torque will be useful.....
Potential buyer would be the one who already own a toyota land cruiser or fj cruiser.
Actually 3.0 litre roadtax is still affordable. But you are right - this Raptor is not for marginal buyers. You need to have a bit of money to burn.
I can think of 1 set back.... what if petroleum subsidies for ron95 is removed ....

Scary giving these pick up nearly 400hp because they dont handle as well as a car could. Similar power as a BMW X3M40i which is already scary if you dont how to handle its power. If the driver of the truck has more money than sense, it will kill him pushing that power without control.
With power comes responsibility.

A-Really awesome truck but in today's green technological advancement, sad to say it's lacking EV concept or the least, a hybrid engine.
If you like it, just go and get it. There is no perfect car, just what you can buy, so don't be judgemental, just enjoy life.

Full size trucks should not have 6 cylinders. Trade in sucks with 6 cylinders and 4 as well. You get more with a v8. Plus as high as these trucks go for you better get a v8
In Europe same car with 283 hp and 470Nm torque . Its a joke wildtrak is much better.
