Thank you for video! I’ve tried dozens of ‘barefoot style’ too and just recently sold a bunch of my Vivo’s on EBay because I just didn’t care for them anymore. They were ok on a dog walk but terrible in the back country on rough terrain. If you want sturdy waterproof barefoot style, Lems’ are THE BEST. Flexible, supportive, super wide toe box, weatherproof, good grip on slippery rocks and a thicker sole so your feet stays warm in more extreme temps. Xero’s are good I agree but just not waterproof enough for Pacific Northwest. Lems for me.😊
Hehe, it's all fashion & matter of taste. Barebarics is a subbrand from BeLenka, also lots of nice looking options (BTW same sole as Barebarics). Yet, Xero feels the best so far.
@Tims_Gym I have a pair of HFS which I really love and a pair of DayLite hikers which are ok overall, but style wise and materials I am not as into. I like Xero though and I know you said you don't really like Vivo like that, but I'm gonna grab a pair of them as well, I like the way they look and am hopeful they feel nice to me. It's cool there is such variety now. Ben Patrick from ATG released a barefoot basketball shoe I am interested in myself.
I prefer shoes that look a little more classy. I find most barefoot shoes look too sporty and casual. I've bought mainly from Vivo, but my most recent ones are Belenka's Synergy. Those are not a sneaker style shoe though.
I've not thought that minimalists footwear looks unattractive. I like the wide toe area look for example and like/d how pairs I have/have had look/looked. Strange thing is sometimes looking at typical shoes with that narrow toe area that looks uncomfortable, strange and unnatural to me. I came across minimalist shoes years ago through your videos and they are the only shoes I've worn the past years. Started with and stayed with Freet before switching to Xero last year. A season for waterproof shoes and Freet Mudee from years ago just letting water in and glue isn't doing the job with them anymore, so I saw Freet had a sale on with 40% off Tundra waterproof boots so those arrived a few days ago. Although other Freet shoes "holed" sooner than woulda thought - even if after a lot of wear sometimes, or sometimes glued badly from the start, (they gave partial refund a couole of times+recommended glueing, and another time a new pair sent) giving the Tundra one a go. The year old Xero ones going well in every way. Ha, that deer/animal mention was a funny insight.
It's fairly subjective no? I don't like the style of those tbh. I've been through a couple of pairs of Freet "Pace" barefoot style shoes and I think they look pretty awesome, plus super comfortable. They breathe so well in summer. The upper is made from recycled coffee grounds and somehow it is fairly durable, the inner lining does deteriorate quickly though. It's a UK based company.

I really like the look of the MagicalShoes24 winter boots but grip not great. The Vivobarefoot ESC sole are excellent tho, loads of grip
Thanks Tim. Appreciate your insight into all things fitness. Keep doing your thing
the bare barics do look like A1's from certain angles. I 2nd someone's comment on feel grounds. Got their slip-ons and they feel good.
Thanks for the video! It would be awesome if there was a video showing you model the shoes and going over the sizing

Interesting will look into belenka. Thanks
I’m in Luna Mono’s (the winged version) with a Tabu 2.0, tabi boot, for this time of year. Highly reccomended for an amazing feeling of freedom 🙏
Birchbury has good looking shoes too
I have 2 pairs of Xero shoes, love one and they look great. The other doesnt look as good in person and the qulaity isnt as good.
Which Xero shoes do you have Chris?

Great content - enjoying the info.

Wearing HFS II's now. Super comfy. Those whites are my casual shoe. But I think the 1s were better.
Interesting man! I think the Speedforce 1s were better then 2s as well
A lot of barefoot shoes look good.
Carets makes a gorgeous dress shoe style “barefoot” shoe that I wore for my wedding. If you need to wear a suit that’s my first choice.
Thanks bro 👊🏼
I liked the ones you showed towards the end, the white ones whit the grey stripe, how do I find them? Thanks in advance 🙏😊
Linked em int he description that are from Dada I think

Defo subjective. I have had a lot of Freet tho about 6 years ago. I like them as a company but don’t think the shoes look good
Shapen makes a great pair of high leather boots for women. They look great and I can wear toes spreaders in them as well!
Love you Tim 🤟
If your ankles get worse, strengthen your ankles.
Wait what did you mean about Altras selling out?? What happened?
they look fine but way overpriced, stayin with my Chinese options !
Is the sole of this shoe thicker? Because I need a wide toe box, but really can't handle the thin soles of barefoot shoes.
Yes it is defo a little thicker than normal ‘barefoot’ shoes.
Is this video about Vibram FiveFingers?
If not, clickbait.
daaaaaamn them shits is clean !
Yea homie
Aw man, I wish they weren't leather.
ETA - just looked closer and saw they have some vegan ones! May be checking these out for sure :)
Yea agreed. I have since discovered a brand called Ohne Project and they look just as nice and are all 100% vegan 👌🏼
‘Feelgrounds’ brand are good. European 🙌🏽🙂
Since posting about 5 other companies that all look good too have been sent to me!
@@Tims_GymCommunity 🫀🙏🏽🙂
Trainers or the 'trainer look' is plug ugly to my eyes.
Shame those all white ones are leather and their vegan styles are gross as usual 😔
I hear ya 😔
The closest thing to a minimalist shoe is a sock? lmao bro, a sock is a sock 😂
