For someone who's not on LMM as much for the train content as the road going content I am loving these 360 degree videos, I am so fascinated by how its done and it makes these videos so interesting.
Rode Merlin many times at Pembrey Country Park where he was based during the 80s and 90s. A trip to the park was not complete unless you rode Merlin! The tracks are still there, but the station and engine sheds long gone. Glad to hear he's still around and working, as the current (and very un-interested in their own history) management of the park had never even heard of him!
Even viewed at 1.5x speed it's still comically slow - added benefit is it makes Lawrie sound like a commercial radio terms and conditions announcement. Liking the 360 content.
Great video as always. I have a suggestion /request for another loco that sort of fits the bill of this loco but is standard gauge and faster from what i believe. And that loco is the east anglia museums "Toby" the tram engine
@@lmm It's funny, I commented that early in the video... Then you said it. I thought about adding "and I have a bum knew and bad back", but I didn't want to sound like I was complaining!

Nothing forces you to relax more than 2mph!
It is anything but!
I am loving the 360 content, it is something I have eyed up myself and your videos just make me want to do it even more!
They're something a bit different!
he saying on the video, that he hate it much but behonest he like it little bit of it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well any day driving a locomotive is better than a day not driving one, I suppose.
I enjoyed the experience, but I have no wish to repeat it!

This has blown my mind... we are living in the future....
Cool isn't it!

Oh another hideous thing.
A fowler with a shed on it 😂
The EARM don't want to work with us.
@@lmm thats a shame. You did a fantastic video when the swindonised tank was there
nice video i would like to sea more live steam model trains
We'll look into it!
So you decided to dubble down with Merlin 😉👍
It's hateful!
Damn! Wood warps faster than that
That it does
Can you find Gorillas at the Apedale Railway? 🤔
No?
Lol imagine a diesel basher on it lol
😂 😂 😂
That is definitely slower than some of the ride on lawnmowers I work on. I bet you're electric tug is quicker than Merlin.
Yes, I think it is!
I'd rather walk .
Yep. Me too.
Jeez, I could walk faster than that thing!
Yes, yes you could!
